  1. So confirmed then, FOUR THOUSAND non renewers. Takes some doing that 👏
  2. 10k would be a big success with this insane pricing. It will be c£500-£575 a ST in three weeks for hike 3. We all know where the failure lies. Imagine having a business where you are proactively trying to prevent sales of your key product with three months of its sales window still to go.
  3. Finally winning a game when it was too late isn’t an example of ‘twists and turns’, we fell out out of the play offs and never got back in, so it turned and that was that.
  4. Looking at the club’s Twitter post re the hike it is pretty much unanimous incredulity with the pricing - instead of the usual ‘they’re still a bargain, shit fans us’. This combined with the grief they’ve got post the January debacle and it seems as if the wider fanbase is finally waking up to the fact that large parts of this football club is still in a compete state.
  5. They do, particularly away from home.
  6. Ha sorry, what? What was ‘utter rubbish’ about the post? And what does Luton at home got to do with anything?
  7. To be fair he did have you to make excuse after excuse for him too…
  8. No panic over Burnley tickets next season so they’ve already probably shelved it until next time we are in the same division - yep he’s literally that cynical. Just retire FFS.
  9. Hiking it now has pretty much put paid to any more sales… in May. Even though they’ve obviously known for weeks that numbers are down on last summer. They should have come to their senses (ha!) over the past few weeks and scrapped any ‘phases’ (I.e price rises). It is unfathomable the commercial operation down there it really is. (Of course, it’s not too late, if any odd nutter has bought one today at those obscene prices they can be reimbursed the difference and they can revert to the original price immediately - which is what they ended up doing last season by the way).
  10. So considering gooze said we were almost up to 11k ‘unavailable’ seats yesterday which included new buyers for 23/24 and existing 22/23 ST holders. A figure of 7k now says 4,000 have not renewed, that’s an enormous amount when you only had 9.3k to start with - 43% non renewal, Christ. So the solution is… hike the prices by £50… and then hike them again in three weeks 🤦‍♂️ Back to 10/11k gates it is then. But at least the club are ‘pleased’.
  11. Shame Chaddy ain’t a millionaire, they could sell him a golden ticket for £3million sitting next to GB (not Swag, he’d be WFH) and they could close down the rest of Ewood, think of the savings along with revenue quantum’s being hit all over the shop…
  12. You are still looking at things very narrowly. Of course points are points. But on the flip side 7th is higher than 8th if we want to go down that road. He was shafted in January. We’ve spent months playing with all kinds of false nine’s because we’ve hardly a striker worth the name. It’s his first year in England, his first year at Rovers against some vastly experienced ones. Doesn’t mean he’s done better than everybody else, he obviously hasn’t, largely because he’s still a green manager in the unique place that is English football and ‘he’s a lot to learn’. But he’s done well for me. You need to put things into context.
  13. Of course he’s isn’t. It’s only this place that loses its marbles over him.
  14. Works with who? The fanbase know full well who’s to blame for the debacle in January.
  15. I wouldn’t put arbito in that camp. But this isn’t a new phenomenon. It’s why when you go, to say, PNE or Wigan away a good percentage there wouldn’t be seen dead at Ewood and are largely just after a day on the ale and a laugh with mates. Think back to the 80s we’d be taking pretty much as many to some local away games as we’d be getting at home, so obviously many of them non Ewood regulars.
  16. I’m not sentimental with TK, if there’s someone better out there, by all means go and get him. But if he’s pushed out for bloody Pears…
  17. Always amazes me, especially at Ewood, how a fair few folk around me can get reception at games… mine goes off grid from about 2.55 until I’m back in my car. Old school finding out from Sports Report on Radio 5…
  18. Now Souness has gone, Sky can make it a family affair with Jamie Redknapp, maybe get ‘Arry on video from Sandbanks too.
  19. Yep there’s always been a PNE slant to their coverage even when there has been years (decades for us) of other clubs they cover being in the PL.
  20. Sky will be praying for a Boro/Sunderland final so they can spend hours waxing lyrical about ‘north east passion’, ‘a hotbed’. Pass the sick bag 🤮
  21. We’ve all missed seeing him play football for long periods whilst here too…
  22. People seem to look far too deeply into managers/directors saying ‘it’s a project’, ‘a journey’ - they all do it. Just modern day football platitudes.
  23. And of course Bolton signed most of their fans up at £219 back when we were asking for a mere £379 (and that was minimum, it’s always been up to £474 in the JW, now £529). Compete insanity.
