  1. Yes 4k, if PNE have done exactly that, why not us?
  2. It’s the knee jerk response you hear from a load of fans away from here: ‘no point reducing as we won’t ever sell anymore outside the Prem’… Bolton and PNE have well and truly shot that fox.
  3. We sold 7,000 in our early bird, PNE sold 11,000, so…
  4. Think it might just have caught up with George down the line….
  5. Of course you can, but you said he will be a success *because* he plays attacking football.
  6. I get the change, the Community Trust has a fairly large profile and it could confuse folk… but it is a bit of a cumbersome replacement.
  7. He’ll be a success because he ‘plays attacking football’? He won’t be playing Ross County and St Mirren now.
  8. Now Bologna away would have been a different issue, La Grassa! 😋
  9. You can make games as cheap as you want midweek, you ain’t getting a load of walk ons, ergo Reading, on a Tuesday night, in March, was a stupid game to choose for the only tenner offer all season, of course it wasn’t packed - though even that game was substantially busier than a normal midweek - why? Price. You make a weekend game a tenner, that will also be far busier than a normal weekend game - why? Price. Bolton stuck in League 1 now sell double our STs, PNE substantially more as a fellow Championship mid table club, why? Price.
  10. So this is what darrenrover has been getting up to since he was banned from here…
  11. LATD just won’t have that our STs, in this area, with our demographics, are even remotely expensive… so explain 8,000 sales?
  12. Of course crowds would increase massively on promotion. But these are straw men arguments folk are adding into the debate. Once again nobody is expecting that as a 7th/8th placed second division side we would suddenly see huge gates, of course we wouldn’t. We should however expect more, even in that far gone time of, err, 2019 we had 10,000+. After 2019 the club then decided to increase prices by hundreds of pounds as our local rivals all reduced prices markedly, said clubs are now selling between 12 and 15k in fellow mid table second (and third) tier. This club has pushed increases by far too much and the result of that policy is with us now
  13. We are by far the most expensive in this area, and that’s what matters. What clubs in far bigger cities, with totally different demographics do isn’t particularly relevant.
  14. Of course, the fanbase has never remotely recovered from the debacle of 2010 to 2012.
  15. Let’s be honest there aren’t thousands ‘refusing’ to return because of Venky’s, over a decade later most of said fans have just moved on in life. If Venky’s sold tomorrow the dial would hardly move.
  16. Absolutely irrelevant. It would only be relevant if we were expecting to see PL-esque sales. Nobody is as we are a middling second division club, so the fact some long lapsed fans are only interested in the PL and using Venky’s/it’s not the good old days anymore as an excuse has nothing to do with getting ST sales back to 2019 levels (that’s 2019 not 2009) - as those folk would’ve had those exact same complaints and wouldn’t have been bothering then either. We aren’t not selling 10,000 STs like we did in 2019 because glory hunters are pining for Alan Shearer.
  17. You could kind of understand if they’d have lost in the final, but considering they were knocked out weeks ago 🤦‍♂️
  18. Who says they should be half price? That would’ve been £188 for a BEnd early bird. Nobody expects that. All we are after is not to be some of the dearest in the whole division and we might actually hit the heady heights of five figures. Your Shearer stuff is neither here nor there, nobody expects PL sales, but to be merely back to where we were in those heady days of 2019 would do for now (I.e c10,000).
  19. I know, great idea for under 11s, isn’t it. Just like we used to do with under 8s. If you’ve got the seats to spare, get them filled.
  20. You were pretty much bang on last summer from what I recall. The FF meeting was just pre May payday for a lot of folk, so it was quite possible that a fair few were sold in the following days.
  21. Possibly, which I’ve no particularly problem with being included as even back in the days of John Williams, comp STs were included in the overall figure… obviously it saves face much more handier these days too!
  22. So we’ve sold 750 since the FF meeting, even though they’ve been off sale most of the time since? Some going that! As an aside the BEnd is interesting, very gappy in areas that are normally packed - I.e NO1 and generally seating further back, obviously quite a few regulars not as yet renewed…
  23. Filan was a decent keeper, not sure Kelly was anything like ‘excellent’, certainly not by the time we had him in any case.
  24. They sold c12k last summer, so sounds like they’ll be around that mark again by KO despite a season that finished poorly with a bit of a negative vibe around the place. Why? Price, price, price as we bob along with mid ranking third division club numbers..
