  1. Well that’s an interesting one as Swag said in his letter to Glen that that most generous £20 early bird discount had to be signed off by the owners… but of course that could well be just smoke and mirrors by a wily operator.
  2. It all goes in cycles, we’ve been here that long now we’ve seen it all - seasons with the likes of Villa, Leeds and Newcastle down here, next season the likes of Bournemouth and Luton could come back down, with the Barnsley’s and Peterborough’s coming up.
  3. Resources fair enough, but a big fanbase hasn’t done the likes of Sheff Wed much good for the past few decades….
  4. There’s a vacancy at Sky with Souness leaving, can’t his cousin get him that gig?
  5. No he’s wrong 8,700 were full STs, 9,300 were full plus half, well that’s what the FF minutes from last season say…
  6. I don’t fear it, it’s the second division, not the Champions League, but there’s no doubting that to have no parachute clubs at all in the play off places was unusual - ergo it was a big chance that went begging.
  7. Yeah so last season was quite the chance to get out of this league…
  8. You really don’t like the play off system do you, DE? 😁
  9. It’s Gary Weaver, he’s renowned for it. 😁
  10. Corporate seats, they’ll still be finishing off the champers and prawn sandwiches…
  11. Indeed, so it made me laugh when some were saluting the new EFL TV deal as a way of making club’s solvent, improve infrastructure etc… it will all go into the pockets of players and agents.
  12. Read that King Power as a business has seen its sales collapse post Covid.
  13. I think we’ll crawl to c8k but to end up c1k behind the still piss poor figure we ended last season with after the best league position in a decade says the pricing is still miles off.
  14. ‘You won 20th place… have £128 million’
  15. I initially said there was no chance we’d beat last season’s *total* figure of 9.3k, I didn’t realise at first that he was talking about last summer only - but yes I still don’t think we’ll get to that 8.6k either (though I’d take it after another shambolic sales window - how sad is being happy enough with 8.6k by the way). Yes, in Glen’s letter he was making downright ridiculous claims of 1.5k/2k on top of that 8.6k - so 10 to 10.5k.
  16. We sold 8.6k last summer, I thought he was predicting in that letter to Glen that we were on for 1.5k/2k on top of that? Though I’d be delighted to hit said 8.6k at this stage…
  17. Then that’s very naive and a ‘failure’ of transfer policy.
  18. Think we all just need the ticket office to re-open tomorrow as I imagine they’ll finally actually update the map to show non renewed seats… so they can put us all out our misery 😁
  19. I presume due to the dreadful sales post hike 1 they’ve now knocked any more rises on the head as it was originally going to be post Friday’s claim your seat deadline (though it’s now Monday and you can still claim it).
  20. Hope it’s only ‘could’…
  21. Early 90s and they were one of the top sides in the country. Top 4 finishes, a load of cup finals. Nobody would’ve believed that after relegation in 99/00 they’d spend a quarter of a century yo-yoing between the second and third tiers.
  22. Just Jim, no? He has this bizarre chip on his shoulder about ‘southern clubs’, when in fact seeing the likes of Brentford and Luton thrive should drive on all Championship club fans as it is shows it is very much possible for us all to reach the promised land.
  23. Higher profile club, higher wages for him, parachute payments so bigger transfer and wage budget - ergo I’d be very surprised if he turned down a Leeds (but luckily I highly doubt he’d be offered it, Leicester too).
  24. Barnsley are a quintessential yo-yo club I’d be more than happy to see them back up.
