  1. This place, everyone was in a panic about him being poached about *checks notes* a week ago.
  2. A ‘corporate hospitality business with a cricket club bolted on’ was how Athers described it in The Times yesterday…
  3. Ke*n was up front with his nefariousness? That’s a new one!
  4. Surprised by the banal questions of local journos? All they are after are a few sentences from managers to fill an article/a few minutes of air time. Forensic questioning, it ain’t.
  5. Hmm, might just be some other bloke in front of him…
  6. We’ve won more games than anyone outside the top two and Boro, we’ve spent pretty much the entire season in the top 6. But yeah these lads can’t play his way, it’s dire football, the fella can’t change a game, use subs, give instruction to the players or a team talk. Yet here we are in mid April. I find it ‘amazing’ too considering what he has to work with on and off the pitch.
  7. Michael Keane: ’Sean’s training has been brilliant — the fitness levels, the standards have really improved… Dyche “brings people together” and “keeps everyone involved in the team”. His experience under Lampard was different…What did Lampard tell him? “Frank was a good person, but he didn’t really speak to me. When I asked what I could do to get a chance, he said, ‘there’s nothing really.’ He said, ‘at your age, I’m not going to tell you what to improve, what you should work on. You just need to keep going and see what happens.’ Frank was a really good person. But unfortunately it didn’t work out — and on a personal level it was probably what I needed to get back in the team.”
  8. … has done a cracking job considering these players (and that farce in January)?
  9. Only caveat being we’ve often looked like the wheels are about to come off and we’ve suddenly turned it round, unlike TM death cycles. So you never know.
  10. Erm, J*B is no randomer in those parts, he’d be starring in/producing The Only Way is Whalley with Bezza et al.
  11. If you say so.
  12. sympatheticclaret on a Rovers forum literally *minutes* after getting promoted.
  13. Bitter? Au contraire, been there done that. When I lived at Pleckgate, Alan Irvine lived down my road. 💅 (Players actually living in Blackburn, fancy that.)
  14. Strangers? Not in the RV!
  15. And is Swag finally nearing this fabled retirement?
  16. I know, usually arm in arm with Swag whenever I’ve been in corporate.
  17. Take it Paul Mani is just out of shot?
  18. ‘Kin ell, looks grim in there.
  19. This sounds much more like Ribble Valley life than Blackburn life. Doubt you’d run into all these folk down Mill Hill. 😁
  20. Haven’t you said yourself that a lot of this stuff you hear ends up being not true?
  21. A teenager who looks like he loves getting involved in the rough side of the game walking out of training with senior pros if he gets touched? Hmmm…
  22. He deserves it because he was formally a player. “When this came up it was a big opportunity for myself and it is an opportunity that I think I have worked for, because I played as a professional for 20 years or so, I worked and I learnt the game,” Lampard said.
  23. Watched it on a ‘dodgy Norwegian’ channel in The Sportsman’s at Four Lane Ends (RIP). Absolutely packed it was, real novelty to watch a 3pm away game on TV in those pre firestick days!
  24. He just needed a run of games!
