  1. Very loud boos near me when he took Dack off (correct decision in my view as the game was passing him by with 10 men, but boo they still did)
  2. About right for Rovers fans? Not sure about that, when was the last time we chanted for a managers head? Coyle, and before that Kean? Very patient bunch here and I can’t imagine many other set of fans have only gone after one manager in a decade. As a disclaimer, I don’t think they will actually chant ‘JDT out’ any time soon, just that he won’t get the free pass TM had…
  3. Not sure about that, the Blackburn End was very close to turning the other night (closer than TM ever was in 5 years). Say we go a couple of goals down tomorrow…
  4. Brittain, looks a decent player, but surely can’t be deemed a successful signing if he misses the majority of games.
  5. He’s a 24 year old striker who has never scored a goal at this level in 40 (FORTY) attempts. But if YouTube shows him in the third division ‘running the channels’ or whatever he’s supposed to be doing against Accy or whoever, then bugger the goal tally, sign him up!
  6. What?!?! So they can get even further away from us on and off the pitch?! No, nay, never.
  7. My dad is a good example. He’s always been on the ‘pessimistic’ side of fandom when it came to players and managers…. until TM got us out of L1. He then literally would not have a word said against him until the day he left, indeed he’d get very spiky if you did try to offer even mild criticism. A most strange phenomenon…
  8. Players were booed off, but TM himself avoided anything aimed at him apart from an odd ‘sort it out’ chant.
  9. My only bit of ITK-ege here for you. Cov initially rejected our bid for Hyam, until they rang us up desperately trying to flog him before the close of the window as they needed cash quick - which obviously helped us getting him for a steal. It’s a club with no ground of their own and always on the edge of one crisis or another. So if Wolves want him, they’ll get him.
  10. The L1 factor. Pretty much every manager here has had far more grumbles than TM, even top class ones like Souness. But as soon as we had that relegation the fanbase seemed to lose its collective nerve and start thinking in a small time manner befitting a third division outfit (though it was only a brief visit) he was seen as the best we could possibly have in situ and ‘who else yer gonna get’, ‘look at Bury’ etc etc. TM created himself a lovely little spot here, but now he’s gone the crowd has reverted to type (like at every other club), if it’s shit, they’ll let the manager know.
  11. Christ knows, certainly not full back after that Forest showing, looked like they’d brought someone in from a different sport…
  12. Mola and Hirst can’t be sent back. So we’ll have to manoeuvre with those two deadweights in the squad (let’s hope we only a paying a small proportion of their wages).
  13. Pantomime dame is Travis. Says it all if he’s the ‘hard man’ of the midfield…
  14. Anybody would think he comes on here just mouthing a load of platitudes…
  15. Whatever the crowd is given as it will in reality be much lower, like night games, as anecdotally most ST holders I know aren’t bothering…
  16. A striker that is 24 and has a scoring record of 0 in 40 in the Championship and you like what you see! 😁 Any more spots in that scouting room going?
  17. Yeah let’s give a loanee who’s been terrible for half a season (and is buggering off back to his own club in a few months anyway) a run of starts because he looked ok ‘on video’ 🤦‍♂️
  18. Now now, don’t be trying to impress the newbie!
  19. Aye ok Longers, the weekly ‘tough game’, ‘different test coming up’ routine. Bit like when City have just smacked some no hopers but Pep pretends Bournemouth away or whoever’s next will be akin to Real Madrid.
  20. Three points between 4th and 15th. As always; ‘mad league this’.
  21. Thought you always believed what managers said in public as only ‘cynical’ people read between the lines? Or is that only when it fits your argument?
  22. J*B often comes out with this. Very strange mindset. Maybe Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace et al should have turned promotion down so they can keep giving the likes of Rotherham and Wigan a good hiding…
  23. Maybe with the rumours re a loan away in January, JRC has realised that he is in the last chance saloon if he wants a Championship career.
  24. It’s that old chestnut of what makes a ‘bigger’ club. Brighton may not have our history but they happen to have a much larger and much more affluent catchment area. Couple that with a switched on owner who has transformed the club in all areas and we are miles away from them.
