  1. Usual platitudes from owners and directors about a ‘transition period’ and ‘it’s a project’. It isn’t ‘Abramovich’s Chelsea anymore’, yet they’ve spent £300 million in about eight months under this new fella! He keeps losing games at a club like Chelsea and he’ll be gone sharpish, simple as that.
  2. Considering we’ve had Steele and Walton as the main keeper here he definitely is someone that could end up as first choice (good enough or not).
  3. The LT have got that wrong. The minutes are stating just under 9,300 in total including the 400 half STs. Nothing will change until he fecks off, alas this long signposted retirement never seems to come to fruition…
  4. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/january/12/lead-the-lads-out-in-the-emirates-fa-cup-at-ewood-park-/ You used to get a kit as part of the mascot package (£300), and still do at other clubs, now we have so little stock/so skint you can’t even apply if your kid hasn’t already got one of his own. There’s that small time operation again.
  5. So why does the PNE manager who has them in 10th place ‘know what he’s doing’, whilst the fella who has Rovers in 3rd (and had six months less time in post) doesn’t?
  6. Just about scraped over 9,000 STs (with half STs included) and he’s crowing about the revenue. Forget about trying to grow the fanbase, just keep rinsing that core. Small time ‘leader’ overseeing a small time operation.
  7. I get that we may not have seen the best of him as he looks like a fish on a bicycle at full back, but on what evidence would he be ‘cracking’ in midfield?
  8. Good job we keep winning plenty then, isn’t it!
  9. Only 20 matches left and we’ve won *at least* three more games than anybody else below us. Not really a fluke by this stage…
  10. Just need Sky to look at that table instead and it will be 3pm Saturday games all the way from now on…
  11. A bit of talent there, piss poor attitude.
  12. Now on open sale… go go go!
  13. But records aren’t the same though, are they? As they don’t compete in the same competitions. So how can a female player ‘overtake’ a male player or vice versa? I.e, Rafa/Novak/Roger have been competing for a decade plus to be the GOAT male player with the most slams. Serena to overtake Margaret Court is the equivalent narrative. Surely it should be the same in football or it all becomes meaningless? The female game should feel strong enough as it grows to stand alone with its own legends and record breakers.
  14. He did beat Burnley and Bolton home and away in his one full season…
  15. This is the club they want. The next fella after JDT will be operating with the same parameters or they won’t get the job.
  16. Ha very random question . All things being equal, of course. But obviously he would never work in an environment like this. ‘Projects’, ‘development’ etc.
  17. Of course there are issues, of course he’s got things wrong, he’s brand new to English management - his approach to the derbies and the inability to get back into games once behind the major two. But on the whole, he’s settled in well when you consider the players and budget he has to work with in a league so unfairly tilted by parachute payments. So it was absolutely ridiculous to talk about sacking the bloke (well, I suppose it isn’t really as that’s forums for you).
  18. JDT is obviously doing well. 3rd in the table, actually winning cup ties. Not a lot more you can ask for a new manager operating without parachutes. But he‘s ‘clueless’, ‘has to go’ from a vocal minority on here up until a week ago…
  19. It doesn’t even make sense. When Serena Williams was after becoming a record grand slam winner it was always in the context of the women’s game, I.e ‘will she pass Margaret Court’s tally?’ not Rafa Nadal’s.
  20. You never disappoint roverandout 😁
  21. 2 wins in 27 attempts at Portman Road going back to the 1950s.
  22. Think his point is we weren’t ‘founders’, I.e signatures to the founding documents that established it in early 1992 in advance of the 92/93 season, because we were still in the old second division, whereas first division (at the time) Notts County would have been signatures to it.
  23. Won’t somebody think of the run of games!
  24. Should have given that Coyle more time, I mean stability is very important.
