  1. Fully match fit? Next season. He’s been out pretty much two years.
  2. So? He isn’t there to go full pelt and potentially relapse. Or to get crunched in a 50/50. It’s a cotton wool job. ‘Minutes under his belt’ That is literally it, bizarre that this still needs explaining to you.
  3. Bored/dejected, what’s the difference? He literally spent months of last season looking just like that. TM’s demeanour when things aren’t going his way always gives the impression of a miserable bugger sat in a bus shelter after missing the last one home. He’s just an odd and petulant fecker whose ‘Jumpers for Goalposts’ mask slips very quickly when results go south, and I think a few of you are looking far too deeply into it…
  4. It’s not ‘my opinion’ to say senior pros play in youth games for fitness and recovery. That’s just a fact and always has been. Bizarre you are still banging this drum…
  5. And that doesn’t matter one bit in a youth game fitness exercise.
  6. Not writing him off, at all. For example lack of fitness can come in to it, struggling to adapt to a new club, way of playing, coming in from a piss poor standard of league. Loads of reasons for his poor showings thus far. Get a preseason under his belt and we’ll see where he is. But you can always get a ‘feel’ for a player’s skill and competency for a level of football from very early on and he’s a lot to prove.
  7. Hedges has been worryingly poor so far, early days, of course, especially after coming out of the Scotland backwater, so needs to adapt, but initial thoughts, the Championship looks to be a level too high for him…
  8. Bizarre how they put out probably the two quintessential Rovers away shirts, red/black and yellow/blue trim at the same time (plus one of the better home kits we’ve had for a while), surely sales will have cannibalised each other?
  9. Well obviously, think that goes for most things in life!
  10. Fair enough, rigger. But others certainly don’t think that he trumps those two from what I’ve read today.
  11. Tony Mowbray is a better manager than Steve fecking Kean and Owen Coyle. Ridiculous I’m even having to say it, but no surprise as some of of you have completely lost the plot in recent times and with it all perspective…
  12. A fracas will never be too away when form falls away under TM, as he has a sizeable constituency in the stands that will not have a word said against him…
  13. A fella who passes your coaching qualifying criteria as he played a handful of games here twenty five years ago. How ridiculously silly. 😅
  14. This is why it isn’t over, it’s a crackers league.
  15. Sorry, misread his post. No idea on the new offer, but if so, all this from the resident ITkers about ‘competitive offers’, ‘greedy agents’ will be another example of their gullible-ness post a few custard creams in Swag’s office…
  16. I would presume he will be. Nyambe last signed a deal as a 21 year old academy grad. Whilst Pears was signed as a senior professional on a four year deal (and that’s without even going into the Boro/family links).
  17. There will be plenty of posts on this thread about how it’s all over. And personally I see us finishing about 9th, just not enough quality, bottle or managerial flexibility for me. However, in the quest for balance, the international break has come at the right time. We need to re-group in April, with hopefully a post South America unscathed and relativity fit BBD. We’ve seen these post Christmas death spirals time and again, and we often rebound with a decent April… all is *just about* not lost, but we’ve certainly lost any margin for error.
  18. More flat pitches. You get five full days, so great for the coffers of the WI Cricket Board, terrible for the Test game…
  19. Any Rovers fan that thinks we have had a more ‘damaging’ appointment in our entire history than Ke*n needs their head examining…
  20. Of course finishing in the play off places doesn’t ultimately mean anything if you don’t finish it off. But you without doubt can be competitive in this league without parachutes (this basket case of a club seeing its form fall away post Christmas every season is a different issue, but it obviously not merely due to budgets, as the top 6 shows).
  21. I see no evidence of TM ‘losing the dressing room’ What I see is the standard post Christmas slump. Normally it has us falling from say 9th to 17th, season finished by February. This time it has seen us drop from 2nd to probably 7th by this afternoon, one of the biggest prizes in football rapidly drifting away, so obviously it feels much worse, but it is par for the course for this manager.
  22. Thing is Gav, you are trying to have it both ways here… ‘Can’t compete with Fulham and Bournemouth’ Ok, bit defeatist, but see the rationale. ’So what about QPR, Luton, Huddersfield?’ ’Well, err, they won’t go up’
