  1. You are being very disingenuous here, Gav. Copper oversaw vast cutbacks at Swansea and wasn’t sacked, he just couldn’t be arsed with even more player sales from under him, fair enough. They were competitive throughout. Forest were bottom, they’ve charged to a chance of automatic promotion in half a season. The bloke is obviously a good manager and will follow the trajectory of Potter at Brighton.
  2. Reading between the lines of 1864s post, whatever the plans are, they certainly don’t seem as positive as the ITK-ers were hinting they would be a few months ago…
  3. To be fair, you get more of that stuff from LFC fans than Everton, I’ve always found…
  4. Jordan Rhodes must be one of the biggest earners there’s been to only ever have played a handful of top flight games. Fair play to him!
  5. Sorry I don’t get your stance at all, you have rounded on anybody that has dared to criticise the club or owners since you emerged form Swag’s office a year ago or whenever it was… but you are now trying to say you want regime change? Have you told Waggott this?
  6. You post daft opinions, you will get called out for them. Isn’t that just message boards since time immemorial? I’d literally never spoken to a mod before the last couple of months, yet now! And my posting style hasn’t changed in 20 years, so go figure.
  7. Hang on, a certain poster could patronise posters repeatedly who questioned the appointment, yet a light hearted post about said poster’s opinion gets deleted? Honestly, this place and the protection he gets, it really is getting pathetic. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out!
  8. How much of a percentage was it then? Because it was certainly substantial. Yes, it didn’t get off the ground, because of a vicious backlash and local opposition in Langho, not because they saw the errors of their ways. We know the total 180 you’ve done on these owners, and that’s up to you. But you need to lay off the patronising tone with others that quite rightly still have big reservations with this regime, you know, because of their actions over many, many years (I.e the attempted sell off just a year ago, yes a year, not a decade).
  9. Always been 100% committed to the Academy, have they? So the club’s published plans just last year was trying to reduce its footprint by half with scaled down facilities that would have meant the likely loss of Cat A, because…
  10. It wasn’t my rumour, but a typically childish reply to someone that is very proud of our Academy and doesn’t want it diminished in any way… and lest we forget this was a regime that was trying to flog off Brockhall a year ago, so no wonder fans would get spooked by rumours in the same ball park…
  11. BB was 20 when he was struggling, always had a much greater potential to improve, England youth international etc. SG is nearly 27, isn’t getting any better (he’s regressing in many ways) and never had much in the way of pedigree to start with.
  12. Positions in football are obviously far more fluid than the rigid days of Four, Four, Fecking Two! So all the ‘square peg in round holes’ lament you often hear does show how many fans struggle to adapt to the modern game. However, that doesn’t mean stubbornness/arrogance of managers is not also a factor with some players/tactics, where it is blindingly obvious that it isn’t working, exhibit A - the fish on a bicycle that is Sam Gallagher out wide.
  13. ‘Any message for the fans after beating your arch rivals, Tony?’ ’No’.
  14. So he could get another Championship job then? Not what I have repeatedly read. This board needs to realise that he has massively re-built his reputation here. He’s ‘stabilised’ and ‘re-built’ that ‘mad club with the Chicken people’. Done a ‘great job with little money’. Folk on here may disagree, but that’s what the view will be ‘in the game’, he will without doubt be in line for other second tier jobs.
  15. Can’t be true as I keep reading on here that TM is that crap he’d never, ever get another job at this level…
  16. That’s now two weekend home games in a row the club has withdrawn DEnd availability pre game (as no bugger was buying). So as predicted on here, of course, an unused area with no existing ST holders is not suddenly going to get decent numbers in for a standard priced game with no price incentive for that stand. The incompetence staggers me (though it shouldn’t after 12 long years).
  17. Forum ITK-ers. The floor is yours, as you’ve been telling us about all the fantastic changes incoming, so the Academy, our final remaining crown jewel, Jack’s vision flourishing with a team full of graduates, of course, won’t be downgraded?
  18. So what if Everton fans wanted him? You don’t run a professional club on the whims of emotional punters that largely know bugger all. It was a terrible appointment.
  19. Does intrigue me roverandout at how much of a downer you have about all things Rovers (fair enough), but are a super duper fanboy for a side that most football fans are only semi-connected to, and don’t give one second’s thought to until a tournament rolls around…
  20. I wouldn’t say it’s deliberate to the extent there is anything nefarious going on, but there are certainly two very damaging things occurring from my perspective. One, Waggott et al still have no idea about the Rovers fanbase; what makes it tick, what it responds to (or doesn’t). The ridiculous overuse of bundles that no bugger ever buys is a prime example. Two, a decade of decline in attendances had made Ewood a very easy place to manage and complacency and institutional laziness had took hold. Same numbers turning up year in year out (give or take a steady drop in ST holders each summer). So this unexpected charge up the table with a load of additional walk ons appearing on a match day has obviously caught them with their pants down, and the club is totally unprepared - Huddersfield earlier this season even has a delayed KO due to ‘crowd congestion’ - ‘great, big crowd today then!’… there was 16k on. So we are now seeing all these schemes to reduce queues etc, and for me it’s largely due to the club not being able to cope with any spike in attendances and wanting to get back to an easy match day run by a skeleton staffing operation. The old conspiracy theory in the 80s about the club ‘not wanting to go up’, certainly resonates today as the infrastructure of the place is now a million miles away from what is expected in the 2022 Premier League, and they know it…
  21. Bugger buying pubs, just restore Blues Bar to its former glory. Maybe have a fact finding mission down to little Accy to see how you actually ‘sweat the assets’.
  22. Sherwood just didn’t seem to fancy the second division, I remember the incredulity when Kenny said he’d be the main man once up… KK couldn’t half read a player.
  23. So with months still to go mid table third division Bolton already have nearly five thousand more ST holders in the camp than Championship Blackburn Rovers managed last summer. Something is badly amiss at this football club…
