If Tyler had have retired immediately after ‘Aguerrrrro!’ he’d have gone out as a legend. Unfortunately he’s turned into a parody of himself in recent seasons…

That Sheff Utd away game was when I first got the sinking feeling that we were going to bottle it.

Why wouldn’t there be closed off blocks in the home areas this time? We obviously aren’t going to be having 23,000 home fans in when it’s a £30-£35 Sky game, so my presumption would be the end blocks of the Riverside and JW would be netted off (obviously it’s all a massive overkill and unnecessary but that’s a different issue).

Yep, imagine Rick Parry was punching the air when Accy and Cheltenham were knocked out! -

We’ve built most of those plentiful wins on getting our noses in front and seeing it out comfortably enough. Whereas when we’ve gone behind away from home it’s often led to some right slappings, ergo the goal difference. Obviously been a mentality thing as much as anything, so those two battling draws at Watford and West Brom were a very promising sign for me. -
Loved Motty, but funny you mention Brian Moore. It’s always his old commentaries that really takes me back to my youth and ‘big’ games. I suppose it’s due to the Beeb not having much live football outside World Cups/Euros and the FA Cup through the 80s and 90s, and Motty sharing games with Barry Davies.

The ‘err, well, look at Bury’ excuse still survives though, as if us and them are any way comparable as football clubs. -
I suppose when about 15 clubs have sacked their manager by February (some of them twice) it’s hard to avoid teams with a new man in situ…

Swansea was largely very poor, though improved tempo second half. No arguments. Though I am surprised that anybody would think last night was ‘terrible’ to watch. Once we scored a nicely crafted goal (great to watch), we played well. Good tempo, moved the ball much quicker, flying into tackles, Buckley orchestrating from midfield and carving them open on a fair few occasions. Obviously the caveat is they looked like a L1 side and Buckley and the like aren’t going to get that kind of space every week, plus for all the times we got in behind there was a lack of composure and decision making. But in the round that was not ‘terrible to watch’ in the slightest. A solid, committed top end Championship team controlling a football match. I enjoyed it. -
Oh I’ve certainly seen him play better, however another match winning goal and he’s obviously now a key member of the squad. He’s a great story and an example to a lot of young lads that have it handed to them on a plate but just don’t have the hunger.

So adding another dozen plus games onto a tired surface through a Lancashire winter. 🤦♂️

For me we will be there and there abouts, purely because JDT will continue to keep us solid. Yes, we’ll get beat somewhere, but then follow it up with a 1-0 win. Carry on in that vein, keep nicking those wins and with the shed load of victories we already have, we’ve every chance. -

Spotted that he wanted to put the ‘defeat in the bag and move on ’ last night. Great spin on a Mogga classic line that 😁 -
I mean, I don’t understand it, they bought some lamps and everything… or maybe they just nicked the bulbs from the Jack Walker reception.
-
Came here after being released from Preston, only first team games at Clitheroe. Obviously he has ability, but so do a lot of young lads. He’s a great example of how far desire and attitude can take you.

Ha, didn’t realise Reading had a game already… so no!

Just walk over to the ticket office at the Blackburn End -
It’s the kind of thing that used to happen… too many ‘stakeholders’ (!) these days for such common sense.

Normally if it’s not on the red button, it won’t be on ifollow/RoversTV either (in the UK). -

No, isn’t on, not part of the red button package because it’s a re-arranged 3pm game, not an initial midweek match. -
I imagine prices will be ‘held’ ( but at the post early bird price), so £429 to £529. That’s Swag’s usual trick.

Not popular at Ewood though, is he? Most around me were very annoyed/angry/scathing of him on Saturday… the very same folk that just collectively shrugged their shoulders for five years with the last guy, go figure! -

What I would say about JDT is you never expect a death spiral a la TM’s horrendous January-March runs, we are doughy enough to hang in there and nick wins even on the back of a real poor performance. -

LancsLive on the ball there cobbling together an article from the Fans Forum minutes from *checks notes* 9th January (and just the month after Sharpe did a piece on it, crack ‘journalists’ on this patch).
