  1. Not quite like for like. That was a bad but brief slump. Plus we had undoubted quality to turn it round. This has been going on for three months and we have nowhere near the quality of player these days.
  2. Your pals may have conducted themselves in a ‘proper manner’… plenty more didn’t.
  3. They clearly do not know the football business, we’ve 12 years of evidence on that score…
  4. Not sure he looks in any worse shape than before. But let’s have it right, he ain’t exactly going to have Ryan Giggs/Teddy Sherringham longevity…
  5. Exactly. All the pearl clutching on here since last over a bit of a fracas in the dressing room and a manager with the hump is just bizarre. It’s professional football, adrenaline will have been pumping with an unexpected place in the Premier League on the line, potential life changing situation for this group of players, it wasn’t a bridge night at the rotary club.
  6. I think he’s done fine when called upon. But he’s largely been a squad man (started 7 games), so I’m struggling to see how he would go down as one of the main heroes of any promotion.
  7. We lose, he gets the blame. Fair enough. Shit selection, stubbornness, all on TM. We win, not only does he get no credit for the turnaround, as it’s all due to the dressing room shop stewards staging a revolt, but *checks notes* his body language is disrespecting the club, and as a fan, disrespecting me, due to him sitting in the dugout for 45 minutes with a face on. I’ve always defended this place, as yes it’s on the negative side, but still a place for a more cerebral exchange of views than Facebook etc. But sorry, some of you have lost the plot these last few weeks…
  8. All very odd and confused marketing this. We got a few in there for QPR/Millwall because that was the only place for the Double Decker offer, so there was a bit of an incentive, but still only numbers in the hundreds. They then were going to open it for Bristol City, then didn’t bother due to ‘lack of demand’. Now they are going to. With no ST holders in the DE to bump up the numbers, and no specific offer for that stand, there’s in all likelihood going to be a hundred or so folk rattling around it - so why bother? Want our fans back in there? Fine. But it needs a real marketing push of ST sales in the summer, not this mish mash of an approach.
  9. Social media addicts in fishing for serotonin boosting ‘Likes’ shocker…
  10. In what way has Johnson been pivotal this season? Offers a bit of experience in a side lacking it, but to say he’s had more of an impact than Dolan, Khadra or Rothwell, don’t get the logic.
  11. Though saying that, even though the club was stating Blackpool would be Cat A to try and push floating fans towards that shite Final 5 bundle. I’m sure I spotted the big screen last night showing prices for it starting at £25, so Cat B. Which would be the best you could hope for considering there will be a sizeable away contingent Swag will want to fleece…
  12. Personally think a few of you are looking far too deeply into Mowbray just being his usual fairly strange self (no surprises as some on here have totally lost the plot in regards to TM). He’s often had a face like a smacked arse, even after a win. He’s a pretty arrogant fella and has obviously had his nose put out of joint by whatever went on at half time. But so what? That’s part and parcel of the game, a feisty dressing room is no bad thing, we are at the business end now and I’m glad to see the players still want it.
  13. I was feeling elated walking up Livesey Branch Road, as was everybody else bouncing up the hill… then I read this thread. TM ain’t the only ‘odd’ one.
  14. And if you can’t make night games, you don’t pay £20. The next two weekend games are priced £30-£36. Is that affordable or good value for this level of football?
  15. It sure was. ‘The SAS’ became a phenomenon in those early months of 94/95, it is just probably slightly forgotten that Sutton started the season like a train and then the goals dried up in the second half of the season (now what modern parallels can we draw 🤔)
  16. In 94/95 he scored just two goals from late November until the end of the season. In 95/96 he scored zero (though missed a lot of games through injury). His goals started flowing again in 96/97 and 97/98 after Shearer left…
  17. Of course, a front two that will go down in history, but in reality the SAS was only really a thing for one season. And even in that fabled season Sutton lost form in the run-in.
  18. The new stadium is still in early stages of development and with all the Usmanov issues, who know when it will be completed. So a few more seasons at Woodison yet…
