It was. Lots of sage nodding on here about his ‘midfield pathways’. GB spoke with a sense of professionalism and calm, no doubt, but this isn’t Norway, this isn’t youth football. He seems to be very naive about the realities of a long Championship season and what is needed to get through it - I.e experienced heads.

Of course top players go on loan, but your examples were at a club at a much higher level, so not really a fair comparison. Is roverandout’s point not that he’s as good as any other player we already have at this second tier level? So should be in our team, not some L1/L2 team. Of course that’s debatable, and he may benefit from a loan, because if he should be playing or not, he currently isn’t, but it wasn’t particularly debatable that Kane wasn’t ready for a team chasing the CL as a teenager so needed loaning out.

That’s that then, bet he’s relieved.

Usual platitudes from owners and directors about a ‘transition period’ and ‘it’s a project’. It isn’t ‘Abramovich’s Chelsea anymore’, yet they’ve spent £300 million in about eight months under this new fella! He keeps losing games at a club like Chelsea and he’ll be gone sharpish, simple as that.

Considering we’ve had Steele and Walton as the main keeper here he definitely is someone that could end up as first choice (good enough or not).

The LT have got that wrong. The minutes are stating just under 9,300 in total including the 400 half STs. Nothing will change until he fecks off, alas this long signposted retirement never seems to come to fruition…
