  1. First time in round 4 of the League Cup since 2011, what a pathetic decade it’s been, with a collection of managers who obviously didn’t give a shite about having a run… what a difference this guy makes in so many ways.
  2. Hope you’re right gooze. For me, January will be the litmus test re has this club really changed on the football side and become the organised, professional, and ambitious outfit we’ve not seen for a decade.
  3. He goes in January, he goes, that’s football. We’ve obviously done well without him this season, my main concern is that we see a repeat of January 2022 this time round. A small squad that will be even smaller if/when he departs will need bolstering.
  4. Well obviously, same for anybody. Doesn’t mean he isn’t a handy player to have coming off the bench, especially with a fairly small and inexperienced squad.
  5. Bringing up the rear with a non-club that was plonked in a town less than 20 years ago… ’We’ve done all we can’.
  6. Bet Swag couldn’t believe his luck when this fella came through his door 🙄
  7. ‘Suggest it’s true’, there you go!
  8. ‘Sources’, you haven’t seen them, it’s not a public record, so it’s speculation.
  9. Aye, because you could eat your dinner on the Darwen End toilets after you lot have been. It’s a hobby a small minority of dickheads at all clubs engage in at every big derby game.
  10. It was some amount of improvements in that stand, no?
  11. Because you haven’t seen his contract, ergo you are speculating.
  12. World Cup ‘98, Derby’s Christian Dailly was having shocker after shocker with Scotland. Me dad used to slag him off relentlessly. Few weeks later, ‘Dad, guess who Woy has just signed for five and a half million?’ ’FFS🤬‘
  13. 7pm tonight… https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/wales-world-cup-squad-announced-25412825.amp
  14. Unfortunately starcascade spends every post slagging off fellow fans, very bizarre.
  15. The football side is in good fettle, some competent people across it. Alas, the commerical side is as poor as ever, but I’ve stopped worrying about it, it’s not going to change until he finally fecks off. Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later.
  16. End of the day if you want to sustain a promotion push you need as many good players in your squad as possible, it’s why most clubs up there strengthen in January. Vale and Hirst are not players I can see making a difference in the run in, whereas Dack is the kind of quality footballer that could change a game and help nab a vital win or 2, think of Berkovic in ‘01. Alas, he’ll be re-united with TM instead, so we can only hope from our perspective that the mistakes of last January are not repeated…
  17. Nobody is! Good grief 😁 People have no issue with his comments, it’s standard manager comms with the media. They are just amused that you have suddenly started reading between the lines after about a decade of, at times, almost unbelievable naivety on here.
  18. Venky’s carry on stonewalling and he’s obviously who the PL clubs will turn to.
  19. Why who thinks Dack should be starting?
  20. Who isn’t behind their team, starcascade?
  21. Thanks for explaining to us all that managers look to take pressure off players. It had certainly never occurred to me.
  22. You certainly have, you’ve made clear that people in football don’t always tell the truth in public… I’ll remind you of that next time you are trying to prove a point about something else and do a 180 making out what they tell the media is gospel.
  23. Err no you haven’t 😁, that’s you reading between the lines. Something you said you didn’t do like the rest of us as you aren’t ‘cynical’. A relief to you know you do really, as nobody can actually be as naive as you make out at times…
  24. Of course it was a gamble, but it was obviously a calculated one, as they got the keep a player that otherwise would’ve gone, and who they had no chance of replacing with a player of the same quality.
  25. Or the club saw an opportunity to tie down a top player that would have been in the PL a few weeks after that Wigan game if it wasn’t for the injury. Totally agree on the Mulgrew/Bennett/Smallwood deals though. I would wager in the post TM, Broughton era, I doubt we’ll see contracts thrown around with such abandon again…
