I.e, Rafa/Novak/Roger have been competing for a decade plus to be the GOAT male player with the most slams. Serena to overtake Margaret Court is the equivalent narrative. Surely it should be the same in football or it all becomes meaningless? The female game should feel strong enough as it grows to stand alone with its own legends and record breakers.
