  1. City fans? Surely not! Thought *everybody* supported Burnley in Burnley? Certainly something you hear journos and even Kompany himself constantly coming out with…
  2. Thing is, on the rest of social media the pricing is deemed to be absolutely fine and all the empty seats are purely the fault of ‘shit Rovers fans’. Obviously the substantial ST sales at Bolton and PNE have passed them by, which is nice for Swag et al.
  3. End of the day if a fan doesn’t like the price, they won’t go, no skin off their nose. They certainly won’t be sending stuff to random club email addresses.
  4. Didn’t realise it was the job of individual fans to educate the club on what a sensible ticket price is for a midweek League Cup tie a few days before Christmas.
  5. Us being one of them!
  6. Hmm, not sure. A league game certainly would, but can’t see it for a midweek cup tie as I’d wager at least a third of ST holders won’t buy a ticket. So you are then needing 10,000+ non ST holder walk ons to get towards 15k home fans, more than double the number of any game this season, and I just can’t see that for a December mid week game against ‘normal’ opposition.
  7. They going to re-re-name that stand that’s named after him?
  8. Of course he has to take it. Personally don’t think it will work out, him and Luton just seem well matched, but he will want to back his ability and test himself at the highest level. But even if he tanks he’ll be set up for life as he’s been given a three and a half year deal at a PL club.
  9. Spot the lad that lives in a town with a load of Dingles in it! 😁
  10. Agreed morten, there will be a good few walk ons, but as plenty of ST holders will swerve it (and as not a league game won’t be included in the gate anyway) it won’t be a particularly big home turnout. I can see Forest fetching a good number though to make it look respectable.
  11. Swag will be sniffing a decent Forest turnout, so £25 a few days before Christmas it is…
  12. FA Cup quarters under Bowyer? Can’t think of much since.
  13. To be fair to her, he has just been appointed today, just being topical.
  14. There’s about five threads on the first page of UTC, all with plenty of posts in. One of them alone nearing 100 posts. Here, one seven page thread. Just another game for you big boys, ay Zak 😁
  15. Well they still have more parachute payments to come next season. Alas, the rigged system that the relegated clubs benefit from will give them another chance.
  16. Err no, 1864. Burnley were willing to charge us £25 for away tickets this season if we reciprocated at Ewood… of course, Swag said no.
  17. Could be Saturday midday as Sky do show a Championship game in that slot. But more likely the Sunday, big derbies often seem to get moved to Sunday noon, Swansea/Cardiff as an example.
  18. That was a running joke, started by the Mods…
  19. Can’t say I’m a Welsh football expert, but there’s no place for Hedges over any of these? Midfielders: Aaron Ramsey (Nice), Joe Allen (Swansea City), Harry Wilson (Fulham), Joe Morrell (Portsmouth), Dylan Levitt (Dundee United), Rubin Colwill (Cardiff City), Jonny Williams (Swindon Town), Matthew Smith (Milton Keynes Dons), Sorba Thomas (Huddersfield Town).
  20. Richardson sacked at Wigan, just the three weeks after signing a new deal. Some madcap division this…
  21. Good to see he’s being embraced by the fans… https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/topic/59694-do-you-want-nathan-jones-to-manage-southampton-football-club/#comments
  22. Totally agree, however January is a different beast. That little bit of extra ambition, even if it is a top quality loan can push you over the line. Our previous successful promotion campaigns (and previous falls away) have been testament to that. I doubt the club thought we’d be going into the second part of the season in such a strong position, so all this ‘it’s a long term plan’ etc needs to be parked and eyes on the prize, a promotion would be absolutely transformational.
  23. First time in round 4 of the League Cup since 2011, what a pathetic decade it’s been, with a collection of managers who obviously didn’t give a shite about having a run… what a difference this guy makes in so many ways.
  24. Hope you’re right gooze. For me, January will be the litmus test re has this club really changed on the football side and become the organised, professional, and ambitious outfit we’ve not seen for a decade.
  25. He goes in January, he goes, that’s football. We’ve obviously done well without him this season, my main concern is that we see a repeat of January 2022 this time round. A small squad that will be even smaller if/when he departs will need bolstering.
