  1. Abysmal, it really is.
  2. I’ll give H of D a try, but I’m still fuming with the absolute shocker that was the Game of Thrones final season
  3. It is just bizarre that as more and more of our fanbase lives outside the town (their own ticket data will tell them that) the club is doing less and less in those areas and seems to think fan engagement begins and ends at the arbitrary BwD borders. All this lauding of Waggott needs to be dialled down, the bloke has been a complete disaster commercially.
  4. I’m not as existentially worried about our sales as I was before, as this summer has proven that local, similar sized clubs to us can still sell good numbers outside the PL, if it’s priced correctly. My worry is that a certain, ‘enthusiastic and engaging’ executive has his feet well under the table and we’ll see this outrageous pricing continuing indefinitely until he finally does one, leaving us with a ST base that has dwindled away to that of a mid level League 1 club’s…
  5. They’ve kept hold of most of their PL season ticket base, as most clubs do initially (until they get stuck down here). Us on the other hand saw sales collapse as Kean was kept on in that disastrous summer of 2012, and we haven’t recovered since…
  6. The figure will be on the Fans Forum minutes (think they met last week), I presume they’ll be published next week…
  7. Yes, it’s very daft, this is 21st century business, not some kind of Medieval blood oath. You judge people in executive positions on their results, not on how they come across over a boardroom table. By definition, CEOs are smooth operators, who will spin all kinds of yarns to how their operation is doing x, y and z, means bugger all if their business is on its arse commercially.
  8. I think he’s telling the truth there. It makes sense when you look at pricing. ‘We just got promoted, so give us your cash’. ‘We’ve had Covid, give us £450 to £500 for a JW season ticket’. He seems oblivious that we are a town club with challenging demographics and a small catchment area to begin with, plus 10k+ have walked away this decade. Like John Williams, any CEO here has to think outside the box, now more than ever, and he is either unwilling or unable to do so…
  9. Surely you still had all the 90s VHS’ in the house that you watched until the tape wore away? (or was that just me?)
  10. The £30 surcharge is still on the prices from what I can see…
  11. The increasing fashion for using numbers for positions does amuse me considering any fan under about 35 wouldn’t even remember the days of 1-11. A number ‘6’ would just as likely be wearing ‘23’ or ‘31’. Still, beats ‘double pivot’…
  12. A quick Google says he even looks very familiar…
  13. Fascinating stuff, kudos to you Glen. I’ve never really had it in for him much on the football side, it’s a bloody tough league to operate in with a budget like ours, a budget set elsewhere. This new structure looks promising and I’ll see where it goes. However, more generally, you’ve changed your stance because he’s a passionate guy? Speaks well? He’s engaging? Didn’t we know this already? Just watching him do the rounds in the Premier Suite and a procession of folk leaving his meetings eating out of his hands told me that. But commercially/bums on seats, an actual track record of delivery is what matters as a football CEO, surely? And on that side he has failed, badly and repeatedly. Perhaps he will be pressed more firmly on that score in your next session as I’m far from convinced that he has any clue on how to turn that element of the club around however much he holds court in John Williams’ office…
  14. Thought you kept saying Boro were a shit club?
  15. A baseball cap? Sacrilege to Birdy!
  16. Might wake up a few to the actual state of this club… though if it’s on the back of a few dodgy results it will all be ‘he was shit anyway, good riddance!’
  17. Four stages for Swansea 😁, which for any northern team is always one of the worst attended for obvious reasons…
  18. How about the owners themselves recognise they own a shambles of a business and throw those mediocrities (who they appoint and retain) off their ‘gravy train?’
  19. Very enthusiastic fan has meeting with very charming club executive… it was obviously only going to go one way, which is fair enough and I hope he got something out of it. I did something similar with JW back in the day It more made me laugh how the he has had half the board eating out of his hands all week in anticipation of an actual forensic interrogation of the CEO, by Chaddy, in his own office 😁
  20. From Jack and Williams to a NobEnder programme writer… a very symbolic chair for our decline.
  21. You said there’s a few on here that are relentlessly negative (is that an incorrect, cherry picked interpretation, apologies if it is?) … My response was - just like you were all last season! If you don’t like being called out as a hypocrite… don’t be one and engage their actual points and how they are incorrect (or ignore them, don’t just whinge about ‘negativity’). *Anyway, feel free to clean up all this, Mods!
  22. Just shows the difference a manufacturer that actually gives a toss makes in comparison to the generic shite previous companies have provided…
  23. What am I ‘whinging’ about exactly? I just like to read all opinions, ‘positive’ or ‘negative’, and will engage both. You obviously can’t see that it is you that is now ‘whinging’ about folk doing exactly what you’ve spent most of your time on here doing. But it looks as if you also can’t debate the actual issues without posting like a 12 year old and throwing silly insults about.
