  1. Could well be, as I’m sure until fairly recently comps were included in the total. Helps Waggott out PR wise for them to once again be bolted on to the total figure…
  2. 700 sold in a week? Great Brittain, indeed!
  3. Exactly, we had 10k by kick off of the first game last season. With two days to go and the last minute rush you always see, we will have a fair bit more than 10k by 3pm on Saturday. Who knows we may even have a total attendance that gets in the ball park of what our neighbours have in ST holders…
  4. We just about scraped 10k on the first day last season. It certainly looks like it will be a fair bit more than that going off the planner.
  5. ‘I don’t agree with the manager’s tactics’ ’Go and arrange a meeting with him then if you have all the answers’ ’These owners make one bad decision after another’ ’Go and fly to Pune then’ ‘Ayala’s never fit’ ’Go and talk to the physio about his rehab schedule then’
  6. Think he’s moved a decimal point somewhere there…
  7. It doesn’t help when the likes of Sharpe will say ‘Rovers season tickets are £399’. The cheapest ones were, if you were an existing ST holder. Large parts of the Jack Walker Stand and any new fan in any stand were paying up to a £130 more than that £399.
  8. 2/3k for a weekend game, sub 2k midweek. That obviously will increase if we are up there.
  9. The prices have gone up around £80 since 2019/20, probably more relevant to a fan with tough budget decisions to make.
  10. You have fallen for his BS, 1864, as you parrot it daily. However, I am not interested in meeting Steve bloody Waggott and listening to his corporate claptrap, so stop badgering me about it. I judge an Exec on results, not on what spin he can come out with in his office - and on that score he’s failed and failed badly, and needs to go ASAP. If you disagree, can you outline why?
  11. Yep, that’s what did it for me, no actual concern about selling a paltry 7,800 STs, not far off the lowest in the whole division, and a plan re what needs to change in future. But merely ‘well, what can you do 🤷‍♂️ At least we sold them at top whack’. When he goes this fella will have left the club’s commercial operation in tatters… but don’t worry about it, because he’s great craic.
  12. But he will try again at the next meeting, obviously he doesn’t take Waggott’s corporate waffle at face value like some…
  13. Because they are a *Fans*Forum, and they always ask for agenda suggestions. But thanks for letting me know about various aspects of communication.
  14. I can imagine, but it still needs to be put to him again. Especially when we see our rivals seeing many a crowd approaching 20,000 and cracking atmospheres by September to go along with the extra revenue.
  15. He used to budget for sales of 10,000. Standards, ay!
  16. Was he challenged on the ST rationale he gave? I.e 7,800 at inflated prices versus c13,000 (with all the additional at ground purchases that go with it) at our rivals at much more sensible levels. If not, can this be put on the agenda for September?
  17. Is that a legendary midfielder wearing a number FOUR? So was he a six or eight? Bet he was totally lost out there.
  18. Yes plenty of concessions, but on the flip side, a good proportion of tickets were also on sale for far more than £399. For a mid table second division club, in a cost of living crisis, with 20,000 empty seats to play with. It’s quantum, baby!
  19. Of course, but that’s a different issue than pure lack of minutes.
  20. JDT may well want to go with players he knows are at 100%, leaving Dack to one side for now, because I’m sure he wants to hit the ground running. But generally speaking, playing matches is *exactly* how you get match fit, kind of self explanatory.
  21. The next Fans Forum in September will give the final figure, we will probably have scraped over 8,000 by then 🎉
  22. 1864 brings it on himself with his childish tone and never actually offering any feedback that isn’t either cryptic, ‘I know things you don’t know!’ or ‘Err, well, YOU run the club then!’ (and I agree with you, by the way, on the personal nature of some of the stuff towards Waggott on here also contributing nothing to the issues at hand.) However, you and the other conduits are consistently missing the point. No issue that you have opened a line of communication, that’s obviously a good thing. No issue that you find him a solid bloke doing his best, glad to hear it after some of the scumbags we’ve had here previously. The point is, he has been an abject failure on the commercial side, yet you, 1864, darren etc seem to want to skirt past his incompetence as you find him a convivial fella. Results, dear boy results, and he ain’t delivered them in five years, so it’s time for a new approach. Nowt personal, just business - and we surely all must agree that we are in a very big hole commercially and he obviously isn’t the answer.
  23. I’ve noticed how Nobenders always say ‘Yeah I went on’, ‘did you go on?’ Etc
  24. And that’s all fine, I’ve absolutely no issue with him on a personal level, sounds like a jovial host, an enthusiastic chap. I do, however, have an issue with his actual results when it comes to the commerical/attendance aspect of the job he has done. He has been an appalling CEO on that vital aspect of being the main man at a football club, and I don’t need to sit across a table, to ‘see the whites of his eyes’ and all the rest of it to come to that conclusion, his record speaks for itself. When it comes to the commercial side, the club can and must expect better from Execs, I.e they actually have a track record of tangible success, not just be happy that the CEO is a positive fella who can hold court with fans and whose ‘heart is in the right place’
  25. He’ll just come out with a load of corporate claptrap like ‘revenue quantums’.
