  1. Bang on are the few posts above. Yes, the behaviour of these owners initially drove plenty away. But as time goes on, most of those that haven’t been back since, never will, they will have just moved on in life. It’s delusional to think that there are thousands of ‘fans across the water’ waiting to triumphantly return to Ewood the day this lot sell up.
  2. I personally won’t be getting overly excited by players coming in from Barnsley/Peterborough who I haven’t seen. I need to have a look at them first, but of course, I trust the judgment of JDT/GB, and yes I am happy to see some actual scouting and bringing in of permanent signings with plenty of games under their belts, that are ready to hit the ground running. Not just ‘ones for the future’ or loans.
  3. It was shit or bust for Hudds last season by the looks of it. Now with a rookie manager in situ as well, doesn’t bode well.
  4. I’ve literally no opinion on it either way as I can’t recall ever seeing him play.
  5. Negative - looks like it’s going to be pissing down, in July. 😩
  6. Decent player, but they should be wearing masks at 2.5m seems to be the general consensus on their forum…
  7. I’m not particularly bothered about Burnley, they have kept hold of the bulk of their PL support, which most relegated clubs do initially. Their numbers will revert back to mean when/if they drop back to second division mediocrity. PNE and Bolton are who have shown us up this summer.
  8. Potent stuff that coffee…
  9. ‘I will stand by my opinion’… hmm, pretty sure anybody could work that out by looking at the planner. But fair play for sticking your neck out 😀
  10. There will be a decent gate tomorrow, new era, first game etc. But when things settle down, you obviously won’t be seeing crowds much more than 12k for a standard game, the way it is when you’ve only just scraped past 8k ST holders…
  11. Does JRC have a ‘load of talent’, ‘an eye for a goal’ ? When have we ever seen that in the first team?
  12. Free entry this season. Was it last season? Fair enough, you really can’t be charging for what is a much shabbier place than years gone by.
  13. They do all they can though…
  14. I can tell you that nobody from the club has from the half dozen or so I know that haven’t renewed the past couple of years…
  15. Yet plenty on here were happy for Brown to be going into the season as right back… a 25 year old who’s hardly played outside semi-pro football.
  16. Indeed, when you have 20k ST holders you would expect a fairly high figure of non renewals, as a decent number of that 20k won’t be particularly fanatical. However, at the sales we are at now, you’d expect the drop off rate each summer to get lower as a percentage of the total figure as it’s only the hardcore left…
  17. Not saying they have, but it is since 2019 that we are seeing these rapid rises. I.e Riverside up £110 in three years.
  18. STs were still cheap enough for years under these owners, it’s only the past three years that they have increased by eye watering amounts…
  19. But there was an increase for any potential new/returning fan, who obviously are the folk that need signing up if we are to add numbers over the 8k. Odd business plan that charges more to new customers for the same product…
  20. Mowbray was always an odd one with pressing. We’d have an odd game in which we’d press high, and usually get results out of it, especially at Ewood. Yet the very next game it would be back to plodding. Not fit enough, maybe?
  21. We scraped 10k on the first day last season. Looks like c13k tomorrow, so an obvious new era boost even at these ridiculous prices… so just imagine what a bit of imagination could do.
  22. I would wager there will be far fewer than 7,000 empty seats at Deepdale for many a weekend game.
  23. ‘Marginal gains’, he reckons. Though our home form fell of a cliff when they started putting them back up there in the run in. Dave Brailsford in reverse is our Swag.
  24. Which makes sense because a comp seat would still be unavailable on the planner.
  25. Could well be, as I’m sure until fairly recently comps were included in the total. Helps Waggott out PR wise for them to once again be bolted on to the total figure…
