  1. I’ll point you to my first paragraph in my previous post as to why. Get a new CEO in, one with an actual remit and plan to grow crowds and I may just do that.
  2. I will not engage with Swag because I don’t respect him or the job he is doing. His remit is not to increase crowds, so why would I waste my time? You don’t think they are daft prices? 8,500 STs is not abysmal? Then why did you bang on about how you were going to discuss your plans for ticket sales all week before you went to meet him? He dazzled you with a load of goss and ergo you enjoyed an afternoon at the club, your agenda firmly in your pocket as a result. It is the likes of Glen that can actually get something out of a canny operator like him. You were out of your depth unfortunately. I was actually trying to give you credit! That you actually realised that our crowds urgently need sorting. But hey ho, lesson learnt. I’ll just let you carry on in your role as club spokesman…
  3. To be fair to Chaddy, he has stated how our ridiculous prices have led to abysmal sales. Indeed he had a load of ticketing initiatives to discuss with a certain executive… until the magic tea cup (or was it glass of water this time?) came out…
  4. Strong squads tend to pull away in the new year, and unlike here I imagine that lot will have no qualms in bringing in January reinforcements.
  5. It’s an absolute boom time for attendances in this country… with one notable exception.
  6. He was a big club critic… until a sip from the magic teacup in that office down Ewood…
  7. They have to get back out the division whilst they still have their parachute payments. And they have traded very well over the summer to give themselves every chance of doing that by the looks of it…
  8. We’ve never lost at the Riverside.
  9. Might not work out, that’s football, but here and now it would be a very good appointment for a club in WBA’s position.
  10. Will his flag be making a re-appearance?
  11. Indeed 47er. By that daft and rather naive metric no club is ever at fault if a player leaves for free, as not being indentured servants obviously means it was ‘their decision’.
  12. ‘Really, really poor’?! Come on J*B, it’s just standard and fairly tame football ‘banter’. I’d have expected nothing less from any set of fans. And I doubt DL would’ve batted an eyelid.
  13. Football fans being football fans, nowt to despair about. Not exactly when Shearer first turned out against us for Newcastle, is it!
  14. Two different issues. After decades of watching football, can many fans ‘spot a player’, someone with something about him? I’d say yes. Does that mean they can improve them, get the best out of them, motivate them and so on? No, that’s what managers are paid for.
  15. It’s a Sky Bet YouTube video (through their League of 72 brand), it’s never been on ‘live TV’. Nothing to do with Sky Sports. (Oh and it’s one screenshot of here, showing about three posts, so not sure why starscascade keeps resurrecting it every few days. Third time now?
  16. So we don’t have any other right backs then, just centre halves or midfielders that can fill in, confirming Blue blood’s point?
  17. Me neither, but what’s that got to do with the WBA situation?
  18. Sounds like you were in one last night! I clearly don’t, my point was that BB was a big debating point because it really *mattered* if he did well or not. It was a passionate topic. Whereas this fella? Who cares. He’ll be gone in a few months, the latest in a long line of ‘remember that loanee we had? Bit crap, weren’t he?’
  19. Exactly! So who cares if folk write him off? There will be some other mediocre loanee to take his place next season, and the one after and the…
  20. Obviously the 99% were proved wrong. However, mitigating factors when BB was getting stick was that he had a big price tag around his neck. So high expectations, the need for what was a big, big money signing for modern day BRFC to come good. But he had time to turn it round as he was 19 to 21 years old in his poor spell and was obviously our player. Whereas this lad is nearly 24, still being farmed out on loan and looks off the standard required. No real angst about it, he’s just a loanee that thus far doesn’t look much cop. C’est la vie, we’ve had plenty of those this past decade, and I imagine many more to follow! ‘Next!’
  21. So Pearce is that good at his job he should just be promoted? And ergo better than other potential DofF out there? How do you have such an insight into the inner workings of West Bromwich Albion?
  22. It’s a squad game, who knew!
  23. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/october/14/ticket-news--rovers-v-huddersfield-town/ £18.75 for the 147th anniversary against Huddersfield, it was £14.60 for last year’s anniversary game against Sheff Utd… that pesky inflation gets everywhere!
  24. Careful now, you’ll be getting put on ignore by the resident statto (like me) 😁
  25. We have won just two night matches away from home since 2012.
