  1. A quick Google says he even looks very familiar…
  2. Fascinating stuff, kudos to you Glen. I’ve never really had it in for him much on the football side, it’s a bloody tough league to operate in with a budget like ours, a budget set elsewhere. This new structure looks promising and I’ll see where it goes. However, more generally, you’ve changed your stance because he’s a passionate guy? Speaks well? He’s engaging? Didn’t we know this already? Just watching him do the rounds in the Premier Suite and a procession of folk leaving his meetings eating out of his hands told me that. But commercially/bums on seats, an actual track record of delivery is what matters as a football CEO, surely? And on that side he has failed, badly and repeatedly. Perhaps he will be pressed more firmly on that score in your next session as I’m far from convinced that he has any clue on how to turn that element of the club around however much he holds court in John Williams’ office…
  3. Thought you kept saying Boro were a shit club?
  4. A baseball cap? Sacrilege to Birdy!
  5. Might wake up a few to the actual state of this club… though if it’s on the back of a few dodgy results it will all be ‘he was shit anyway, good riddance!’
  6. Four stages for Swansea 😁, which for any northern team is always one of the worst attended for obvious reasons…
  7. How about the owners themselves recognise they own a shambles of a business and throw those mediocrities (who they appoint and retain) off their ‘gravy train?’
  8. Very enthusiastic fan has meeting with very charming club executive… it was obviously only going to go one way, which is fair enough and I hope he got something out of it. I did something similar with JW back in the day It more made me laugh how the he has had half the board eating out of his hands all week in anticipation of an actual forensic interrogation of the CEO, by Chaddy, in his own office 😁
  9. From Jack and Williams to a NobEnder programme writer… a very symbolic chair for our decline.
  10. You said there’s a few on here that are relentlessly negative (is that an incorrect, cherry picked interpretation, apologies if it is?) … My response was - just like you were all last season! If you don’t like being called out as a hypocrite… don’t be one and engage their actual points and how they are incorrect (or ignore them, don’t just whinge about ‘negativity’). *Anyway, feel free to clean up all this, Mods!
  11. Just shows the difference a manufacturer that actually gives a toss makes in comparison to the generic shite previous companies have provided…
  12. What am I ‘whinging’ about exactly? I just like to read all opinions, ‘positive’ or ‘negative’, and will engage both. You obviously can’t see that it is you that is now ‘whinging’ about folk doing exactly what you’ve spent most of your time on here doing. But it looks as if you also can’t debate the actual issues without posting like a 12 year old and throwing silly insults about.
  13. All professional footballers in the Championship will have a comfortable lifestyle, however every player wants that ‘big deal’ that sets them and their family up for life. Rothwell has just bagged his.
  14. And red has very much been a part of many a home shirt too. Game of opinions, but an odd one that DC!
  15. So it was ok for you to continually ‘piss and moan’ last season, but if someone does that this summer they are ‘negative’, ‘just like the LT comments’, ‘drama queens’ etc? Fair enough if you now have faith we are entering a bright new dawn, and thus a new found *positive mindset*, but it’s a bit of a brass neck for you of all people (unlike someone like Mani, who to be fair to him, never sways from his life mantras) to start calling folk out, who in *their opinion*, haven’t yet seen enough (any?) evidence that we have reached these sunlit uplands…
  16. Other malt based bedtime drinks are available…
  17. You can have two mutually exclusive thoughts on Nyambe. Has him and his agent made a bit of a Horlicks of it if he ends up with his tail between his legs on similar/slightly improved money at bloody Wigan? Yes. Has a club with little dosh lost a solid Championship right back, and are now without a recognised one with a week till kick off? Also yes.
  18. Didn’t you spend all last season doing just that?
  19. It will, and as other posters have seen it all before, so need to be convinced that anything has remotely changed at the only executive level that *actually* matters at this club, maybe time will tell that they weren’t ‘hysterical’ at all…
  20. You’ve answered your question with your last sentence. Lambert mk II.
  21. I’ll flip it round, why so much confidence, in contrast to ‘hysterical’ other posters, that it will be all hunky dory by the window closing? When did we last bring in a ‘quality’ outfield permanent signing?
  22. I’m confused, as our ever growing group of brfcs/CEO conduits keep telling us that the hierarchy are delighted as things are *much improved* at the club?
  23. It is what it is, a convoluted sign off structure and hardly any transfer budget can only lead to the club chasing its tail. So obviously you have to largely rely on loans when the PL clubs decide to let them go (usually late on). Does this mean relegation? No, because the Championship outside the parachute clubs is much of a muchnesses every season. But with this model we are performing an annual dice rolling and hoping that year’s loans and academy grads will be up to it - one year they may well not be
  24. Did make me laugh that he is all… ‘I can’t say this’ , ‘I’m not at liberty to say that’, when as you say, it’s just standard stuff that ends up in the FF minutes anyway. Ah well, at least he got to strut around the forum like a peacock the past week pre his verrryyy important meeting. 😁
