  1. It’s the arrogance of that statement, making out that this reverse ferret debacle was the plan all along, spinning c7,000 ST sales as a success, and that they are doing us a favour by putting prices back to the slightly less ridiculous price they were a week ago. Absolute clown and I’m sick of seeing such a mediocrity run (into the ground?) my beloved football club.
  2. Unless I’m reading the tweets wrong it sounds like you’ll have a chance to get your seat back whilst the newbie gets turfed out. Total, and avoidable, shambles, but at least it shows they’ve realised that pricing has been a big error of judgment (once again).
  3. Been a definite spike since JDT, as we certainly hadn’t before, thank god we made an exciting appointment. But he’s also being disingenuous as he means we’ve sold more than the 7,300 we had at the end of August 2021, not the 8,500 we finished the season with.
  4. Well better late than never, but it’s farcical really. They knew JDT was inbound last weekend, so why on earth didn’t they extend it then and and tap into the momentum and good vibes of his appointment? Completely reactive, just like the implementation and then removal of Cat A+ match tickets after a backlash. This club from Waggott down still doesn’t understand it’s own fanbase after years in post. So why are they still here?
  5. That was completed last week, I thought, after the claim your seat deadline. That very brief take down of the site this afternoon seems different, as now back up they’ve taken all of last season’s reserved seats off sale.
  6. Yep they’ve definitely done that as the Blackburn End is now miraculously packed apart from the first few rows, and it certainly wasn’t at dinner time!
  7. Calling Buttler a Lancashire player is pushing it!
  8. ‘Pool fans fuming on their forum.
  9. It’s amazing how they keep getting it wrong and then row backs and ‘re-thinks’ months into the sales period. Bit like the ridiculously priced Cat A+ match tickets that they had to scrap last season after another outcry.
  10. Obviously it’s just a snapshot of a meeting, but generally it’s no surprise that so many young players drift down and out the league. Chapman being a prime example of pissing away his talent I look back to my 20s and I pissed about, lack of focus, but then I didn’t have a very time limited career.
  11. They do need to crack on, the price is what it is and can only be rectified in the future. But what I’m finding strange is they are now actually promoting STs less on social media channels (as marketing them in any other way than a drumbeat post on Twitter/Facebook is obviously beyond them) than before JDT was appointed. All this goodwill and feel good factor and they are doing nowt to harness it. Not fit for purpose commercially, I’m afraid.
  12. No we were hundreds of pounds more expensive at early bird stage. That table you posted are displaying post early bird prices. Preston for example sold most of theirs at around £280. Wigan at £329 - £349. Blackpool £309 - £369. Whereas even our early bird started at £400 - £500 for existing ST holders, £429 - £529 for new and returning.
  13. I think what you are doing is fairly accurate, I counted one of the sparsely populated blocks and it pretty much tallied with your total.
  14. Will they buggery only hit it for three games, with 12k+ STs, walk ons and aways they’ll hit 15k+ every week. With 22k sell outs for big games presuming they are still giving away fans the full end.
  15. Commercially that is obviously the case…
  16. Nobody will be refunded, it is what it is, we just need to hope lessons have been learnt for next summer. (Though I’m sure we said all this last summer when sales hit a 30+ year low).
  17. One thing I’ve noticed in the Venky regime is that pretty much every manager we’ve had (apart from the exaggerated Tigger-esque, ‘I’m passionate, me! Coyle), have spent games sat with a face like a slapped arse. With the last crew it was the whole coaching staff! Now I’m not expecting performing seals, I mean look at Ancielotti for evidence of why you don’t need managers doing cartwheels down the touchline, but bloody hell a bit of energy wouldn’t go amiss!
  18. £400? Long gone if you want a decent seat in the JW, try £500. They will just announce something daft like they did with the £850 (!) ticket. A tenner voucher for the tat filled club shop, probably.
  19. I’d be absolutely delighted with 10k, but we won’t, it’s as simple as that. But we could’ve and they’ve blown it, again.
  20. Me too, we could get a crack team together from ‘negative brfcs’ that could do more for ‘positive’ sales than any of the clowns they appoint down there…
  21. Last year was also £400 - £500. We won’t sell close to 10k, we’ve just scraped 7k and the season kicks off in six weeks and the price has just been hiked again.
  22. It is, they won’t.
  23. Love the enthusiasm Paul, but you are just not getting big numbers through the door at this price point for second second division football whatever bells and whistles are provided. Now reduce the price to go lockstep with a side at the top end of the table and you will see a healthy increase. A winning team is the momentum builder for STs, reduced pricing seals the deal. * Though this is all a moot discussion anyway as this club just doesn’t have the commercial wherewithal.
  24. This season? No chance, literally zero. Perhaps in the future though, but not at these prices. Going forward, hopefully the kicking and negative press they’ve had over STs this close season, plus the obvious success of our neighbours reporting big jumps in sales means we won’t see such ridiculous pricing again.
