Me too, sounds great. But Arbito’s point is exactly right, it’s results that builds football clubs. So you don’t put the cart before the horse. Find a way to win, get up the table, bring in better players, get further up the table, get bigger crowds, get promoted, get even better players, get even bigger crowds, get improved facilities, even better coaching staff and on it goes. If we’ve done that in a swashbuckling ‘football the right way’ style (however that is defined) then great, who wouldn’t want to see that? But if it was a more prosaic style that got us there, then that also doesn’t matter one bit as BRFC will finally be out of a very deep hole. * But as an aside, if you win enough, performances get better anyway as confidence is probably the biggest thing in any sport. -

Ha never thought of that, is it too late to ask for a refund? But on the flip side you are happy if we lose as long as we’ve played what you’ve deemed ‘good football’? -

In your opinion, Paul. I enjoyed it, loads on here are literally telling you they enjoyed it! I respect that you didn’t, game of opinions, but don’t start telling everybody else what they did or didn’t think! -

Massive generalisation based on folk you know. You are literally seeing a load of posters right now saying they enjoyed it. Good football is winning football. A good manager is one that has you punching above your weight. -
Yep, it’s only been dropped for existing ST holders until 30th June. Still the surcharge for anybody new or returning.
-
Unless you are a returning or potential new ST, of course, or if even as an existing ST you can only buy on the 1st July. Very odd way to try and grow a fanbase, but then Swag isn’t particularly arsed about doing that anyway..

Any goss on what happened with Farke, Glen? -
He’s telling half truths, as we’ve maybe surpassed last summer’s 7,300, Gooze’s tallying had us around there give or take. But we finished the season with 8,500, so we haven’t got more ST holders as it stands. Typical politician style smoke and mirrors. But actually crowing about selling c7,300 STs at Blackburn Rovers anyway, what a small time cretin.

Did he? Not how his late Bolton sides played. -

I understood budgets had been cut to the bone by the Walker Trust, so we were ‘weeing with the willy we had’, others obviously knew better! -

No it was often a bloody good win at Ewood. If you stopped enjoying being a comfortable PL side with a fantastic home record and a packed Ewood that’s up to you, I loved it and knew the day of his sacking where we were going to end up.- 9495 replies

With Sam, Williams and Finn the club was absolutely primed to kick on. All you need to do Rao family was keep things as they are, up the budgets a bit, wait for the new TV deals to be signed and you are laughing. Put ‘Venky’s’ on the shirt if you want, and let the dosh roll in… Alas they went a very different route -

Think Mowbray’s comments at the end of last season, plus GB’s have just confirmed what we knew all along, executive power within this country is purely Suhail and his white cat in the old boardroom. -
JR will be in the Premier League after trebling/quadrupling his wages, explain how that is a ‘huge step down’?
-
So that’s another even lower league he’s dropped into, will the penny?

‘Deflated’ walking out with 25,000 fellow fans after another one of our internationals put the gloss on a 3-0 win, checking the table and seeing us in the top half of the Premier League… ‘first world problems’, I think they call it.- 9495 replies

The Fans Forum minutes from September last year on the club website state that last season we sold 7,300 full season tickets, a later set of minutes say we ended the season with 8,500, ergo a further 1,200 half STs were sold. Some of those 2,395 won’t renew, as every season some just don’t for a plethora of reasons, whilst some new and returning fans come in to offset the non renewers, the ‘yearly churn’ as John Williams called it. Obviously if more folk don’t renew than newbies arrive overall ST numbers will go down. The hope is obviously to try and get as many as possible to renew on the back of the JDT buzz. Here’s hoping the club are actually reaching out to these fans and not just thinking a social media post will do the trick (I know, I know!).
-
It’s the arrogance of that statement, making out that this reverse ferret debacle was the plan all along, spinning c7,000 ST sales as a success, and that they are doing us a favour by putting prices back to the slightly less ridiculous price they were a week ago. Absolute clown and I’m sick of seeing such a mediocrity run (into the ground?) my beloved football club.
-
Unless I’m reading the tweets wrong it sounds like you’ll have a chance to get your seat back whilst the newbie gets turfed out. Total, and avoidable, shambles, but at least it shows they’ve realised that pricing has been a big error of judgment (once again).
-
Been a definite spike since JDT, as we certainly hadn’t before, thank god we made an exciting appointment. But he’s also being disingenuous as he means we’ve sold more than the 7,300 we had at the end of August 2021, not the 8,500 we finished the season with.
-
Well better late than never, but it’s farcical really. They knew JDT was inbound last weekend, so why on earth didn’t they extend it then and and tap into the momentum and good vibes of his appointment? Completely reactive, just like the implementation and then removal of Cat A+ match tickets after a backlash. This club from Waggott down still doesn’t understand it’s own fanbase after years in post. So why are they still here?
-
That was completed last week, I thought, after the claim your seat deadline. That very brief take down of the site this afternoon seems different, as now back up they’ve taken all of last season’s reserved seats off sale.
