  1. So like I said, if he wants to be here three years, he will be. A contract is a contract with these owners as we can see with Lowe et al.
  2. Yep, it’s all very strange, but be interesting to see if JDL can quietly move them on once he has his feet under the table…
  3. Well we certainly know for good or bad he’ll be here (if he wants to be) for three years minimum!
  4. Succession is the most hilarious ‘premium TV’ I’ve seen since The Sopranos. Kieran Culkin just on his own has us in hysterics.
  5. Not looking like it, is it…
  6. PNE have been bobbing about where they are right now for about 20 years, give or take an odd L1 season. They reduced prices and sales have boomed. Price is undoubtedly a big barrier, it’s £500+ a ticket in the JWU! I’m not expecting anything like PL sales, not even Bowyer era sales at the moment, my worry is how we just keep on losing sales every single year, it’s just not normal across the leagues. We can slice this many ways, but we can all agree that we are in a real state.
  7. Thats the post early bird PNE price (post them selling c12k at £280 to £300).
  8. Who knows, it would certainly be considerably more than this horrendous sales period.
  9. £299, slightly more in the JWU. As a comparison, PNE - £280 to £300, Bolton - £219 to £280..
  10. Price is obviously an issue, PNE have sold around triple, TRIPLE our sales. That’s PNE! Why? Substantially cheaper. A decline to this extent is merely due to being a run of the mill Championship side? Hasn’t stopped pretty much every other run of the mill club holding steady or even adding sales each year - whereas we are uniquely haemorrhaging thousands most summer. We are now hitting sales figures that wouldn’t have us as any great shakes in League 2 - there is obviously something very wrong at this club and the relationship the fanbase has with it.
  11. What really riles me is that at a normal club with accountable executives you can well imagine panic stations and emergency meetings. What will there be at Ewood (presuming it’s not under lock and key), a collective 🤷‍♂️ ?
  12. Has to be, @Wheelton Blue, bundle it in with the announcement of JDT. ’Clueless’ brfcs-ers flagged this slow motion car crash weeks and months (indeed years) ago. ‘If only you knew’… Err we did. I could literally gather up a half dozen folk from this thread and we would run a better ticketing operation. It’s an absolute disgrace the state this club has been allowed to get into.
  13. This club is in a deep, deep hole, and a promotion out of nowhere aside, with these uninterested owners and the clueless stooges they employ to run it, I’ve no idea how we are ever going to recover to anything close to where we were in the Bowyer era, nevermind anything else. Heartbreaking.
  14. Course they will, even Tony bloody Mowbray hardly had a peep against him at games in five years!
  15. Certainly is. I accepted that a prosaic style of football from an experienced hand was exactly what a post-Walker Trust funded club needed. You ‘wee with the willy you have’. Alas folk like your good self had absolutely no nuance and he was merely a ‘long ball dinosaur’ and the sunlit uplands of ‘football the right way’ was only a sacking away… how did that work out?
  16. As long as he gets a good reception at games (which he will), not sure it particularly matters if a half dozen anonymous accounts on brfcs.com have decided they won’t ‘give him a chance’…
  17. He’d still probably get to Brockhall quicker than the half of the squad that were driving down from the north east every morning not long ago!
  18. Looks like the manager will be in early this week (famous last words!), so any club with half a brain cell would be reinstating the original offer also to try and tap in to at least a little momentum… alas that half a cell isn’t to be found at Ewood.
  19. 26,000 average crowd isn’t booming for Rovers?! It was higher than 94/95 and level with 95/96!
  20. Correct re season before. Incorrect otherwise. Average PL crowd of 26k in his one full season (2009/10), 25k the season he left half way through (2010/11).
  21. Yep, they were the highest since 2001-2003 under Sam, so all that revisionist tripe you’ve heard since about ‘his shit football was driving folk away’ was a load of nonsense … anyway this shower soon put pay to all that bums on seat business.
  22. The budget for STs, I.e the biggest income for the club outside TV, seems to have consisted of a leaflet to existing ST holders and a few weekly Twitter/Facebook posts by an already employed social media officer.
