  1. What a bizarre thing to do, main man at a club and doing a decent job in the Championship to being second in command at club that’s just finished 14th in the PL. Money talks, obviously.
  2. We’ll we’ve had managers in this reign of terror with win rates in the 20s (and below) previously, so that won’t put them off…
  3. Great job? Five games, one win. Think you’ve been adopted as one of them too long!
  4. Should’ve put England in…
  5. It’s absolutely non sensical, just a cheap, ten a penny bib and cone man. Why hold back the future development and potential financial transformation of the club over such a low level employee? A very strange football club.
  6. Bit like when the CEO (and whole club) went in to radio silence for months after March 2020. Fair enough for those furloughed, but not a peep out of the supposed senior executive down there? (Well until he emerged from his bunker with plans to flatten Brockhall).
  7. Critchley is under contract to 2026, so considering they were never going to sack TM as they weren’t for paying him any compo, and they won’t even remove bloody Lowe and Benson, they will now sort out a four year compo payment to another club? Highly doubtful!
  8. Why do they need to? There are many ways to serve your country in wartime. Maybe they are also doing their country a service by lifting the spirits of their fellow Ukrainians and giving the world a positive view of Ukraine, an independent, sovereign nation, doing sovereign nation things . Maybe the Eurovision winners shouldn’t have bothered either and should’ve just picked up a rifle in Kharkiv instead. ‘Lovely tune that Vera, it is really rallying the nation, but don’t you know there’s a war on, get your arse to Burma’.
  9. So what are the players, androids?
  10. So you don’t feel for them then?
  11. Wow, some fantastic mental gymnastics there to absolve the owners from any blame. Anybody else and I’d say it was a parody. Indeed this farce of an appointment process is all a Swag ruse to, *checks notes*, try and sell Brockhall again. End of the day whatever depths this club falls too, it is never the fault of the people that owned it for 12 years in your eyes. Such a strange devotion you have to them, and you won’t ‘be out’ for a second if Pardew is appointed, you’ll just put the blame on the powerless pen pusher that is Waggott and spend Pardew’s tenure lamenting how he’s wasting the cash and taking advantage of our generous and benevolent backers, who presumably are hostages in their own business to these managers that seemingly appoint and then keep on themselves.
  12. Why on earth would you jeopardise any potential exciting appointment, a chance to transform the club, and you know, plug some of those enormous debts and negate the need for so many cash injections, over the minuscule contracts in the grand scheme of things of Benson and David bloody Lowe. What chance does the club have when it’s run in such a nonsensical way…
  13. Clubs make mistakes with managers, fair enough. However, usually they quickly rectify them and get the bloke out the door before he does too much damage. Was ever thus in football. So fans usually can be pretty sanguine if a fool is appointed, shout for his head and let the results speak for themselves, and ‘NEXT!’. However, not in VenkyWorld. We all know TM would still be here if he had happened to have signed a contract with an extra 12 months on it. My main worry is not appointing a dud in the first place, it happens, it’s all a gamble, but that said dud will be allowed to drag on and on and on. Even a complete clown like Coyle went on for those fatal extra few months. That’s why they have to by hook or by crook get this right, as there will be no quick removal if he ain’t up to it, and in such a competitive league we know where that leads, alas I just don’t have much faith in the powers that be…
  14. Yeah, well, why don’t you be commercial manager.
  15. £249 cheapest ticket for an ‘early bird’ price there, £399 ‘loyalty price’ cheapest ticket here (£429 for you disloyal lot). A club that has completely lost the plot.
  16. What I will say is TM papered over massive structural problems at this club. Bang average manager, but an experienced, steady hand that though would never particularly achieve anything outside treading water in the second division, was a fulcrum for the club and he kept the show on the road, and it masked the third rate, unprofessional people running the club. Now he’s gone it’s brought home that when it comes to the big ticket stuff the club hasn’t changed one iota on the football side (or commercial either looking at the ST debacle) since the Lambert departure/Coyle appointment summer. We all know what the common denominator is…
  17. Sorry thought your point was he’s never done anything outside Ipswich. Obviously not the case.
  18. How? Considering I haven’t tipped or suggested a single person for the job. Just like how I never called for TM to go, it’s Venky World, normal ways of doing things don’t exist there, so what will be will be. You need to grow up and learn how to actually have an adult discussion… another example in the post below.
  19. Won the Championship twice, no? His time has passed, but doing the fella a disservice there…
  20. ‘ Yeah well, why don’t you be manager then’ , the 12 year old’s approach to discussion.
  21. Good job things are ‘getting much better’ though ay, club would be a right shambles otherwise.
  22. Third one down looks very familiar…
  23. So strings attached, as always. Considering there is less than a thousand seats available in the family stand to start with due to the amount of complementary tickets given out, it’s not going to touch the sides. And as a headline ‘£850 ticket!’ in a cost of living crisis isn’t exactly going to pull folk in. Its very simple, reduce the prices in all areas to a sensible level, that’s literally it. I despair, honest to god.
  24. There will be a load of ECB owned ‘H***red’ games on across Sky and the BBC though…
