  1. Not what I’m finding reading around other local papers and websites. Yes, Blackpool et al, but even clubs that have been treading water are reporting strong demand.
  2. Agree largely Roversider, however the evidence points to something else re your last sentence - as most clubs are reporting strong sales, the fact we certainly won’t be doing the same tells me there is something rotten in the state of Blackburn Rovers.
  3. Will our season ticket sales be much higher than even Accy will be getting through their gates?
  4. Yet Bolton will have bigger gates than us next season. A perfect example of how BRFC is just merely existing at this point.
  5. My point being most haven’t raised prices substantially since we were last allowed in grounds. A braindead move, just like post Oxford.
  6. All true in the wider economy rog, but most other Championship clubs have gone the other way this summer…
  7. Though you’ll still read… ‘cheap as chips’, ‘still have some of the lowest prices in the league’ posts all over social media. First one, well, value is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. Second one, is just untrue these days, now we are actually top end.
  8. Oh I agree. As an example, Boro are seemingly Cat A+ because they brought 5/6000 a few years back when they were going for promotion, so the idiots down there presume they’ll be doing the same when they are sitting in 12th for a Tuesday night game in January.
  9. All cat A+ means is they think there will be thousands of away fans to fleece (hostage to fortune there with the ongoing Covid situation re away fans even being allowed).
  10. A mere team? Premier League giants Leeds United, more like…
  11. Totally agree with that analysis. Again, speaking anecdotally what I’ve noticed this past twelve months is even with fans I would have always seen as fanatics, the club just rarely even gets mentioned in conversations anymore. Obviously, the pandemic is part of that, but that just adds to the fiendishly difficult job it will be to flog a decent amount of STs… and who at the club cares or is switched on enough to put that graft in?
  12. Who we talking about, Rovers? Of course, the coaching staff here will be happy he’s there, as am I, great for his development and confidence, which can only help him for next season. Ok, I’ll re-phrase, the club’s social media output is milking it, but then, it’s run by a Crawley Town fan, so no surprise there.
  13. One of the main reasons folk stop going to matches is when they’ve had enough of a manager and the product they put on the pitch. If that’s a ‘personal’ reason, then so is every choice a fan makes for knocking it on the head. But then surely by your mantra of ‘ “supporters” we support by turning up’, not liking the manager isn’t a good enough reason to not go, putting up with poor managers is simply part of being a fan, no?
  14. Who’s desperate? Chile? Your true feelings on BB slipping out there Bizzle, tut tut!
  15. Shows how the expectations and standards of many fans has fallen through the floor if EB (a good solid pro and servant, but lower league journeyman all the same) is being deemed ‘a legend’. Same with BB, fair play to the lad, but you’d think he was the first Rovers player to ever get an international cap the way the club is milking it…
  16. ‘Personal reasons’ being you didn’t like the manager at the time… so a few years later others are following your example and are also not going because of their feelings re a manager, yet you believe this is different, why’s that?
  17. Didn’t you stop going because we appointed a certain ex Bolton and Burnley manager, Paul? (Apologies if I’m confusing you with someone else).
  18. About 5 and a half weeks to flog STs then presuming they go on sale next week…
  19. The away day (note, ‘day’, not 3pm to 5pm) has been one of the few decent aspects left of being a Rovers fan this past decade. The mood music doesn’t sound good for such trips resuming anytime soon…
  20. See my post was deleted, however I’ll re-post the salient bit. Our fanbase is well spread across a fair few constituencies these days, so it isn’t just Hollern that needs engaging.
  21. I’ve worked in Stoke… so no surprises there.
  22. Presume something is *fairly* imminent, looking at this. ‘Back to Live’ is the marketing slogan, then. Though, knowing this club, they could mean ‘back to live with our streaming service, as don’t know what we are selling, there’s a pandemic on’.
  23. In a league campaign, of course, that’s exactly how you get match fitness. But you don’t have that luxury to carry players in a Euros/WC whilst they get up to speed, bad start, you’re out the tournament in just over a week.. Or as soon as you get a top side in the knockouts.
  24. Why would he start? Southgate himself has said he’s largely there for giving the lads a good clap purposes. From Beckham to Rooney and countless other examples, it’s a foolish thing to do to take an injured or lacking match fitness player to a tournament, they just can’t get up to speed. From the manager himself; ‘"It’s a decision we took (to select Henderson) because we have been able to take extra players and we feel he is such an important influence around the place.“ 26 man squad this time, so he obviously feels he can carry a ‘positive figure around the camp’ cheerleader, especially a fairly rare senior pro in a young squad. But that quote doesn’t tell me that he’s going to be playing.
