  1. ‘This is a club that needs a wee bit of help’ was always his cryptic line...
  2. Dan Clough is a perfect example. We are ‘negative’ because we are against the Waggott/Mowbray line, said fans can’t seem to grasp that those in situ at BRFC could possibly not be the best thing for the club and that it’s the ‘negative brfcs-ers’ that are actually trying to fight for it. To the extent he left his brain elsewhere and is ‘liking’ pro-TM xG nonsense emanating from teenage bedrooms. Yet, Mowbray goes on Monday, just one result later, and he will be re-tweeting posts saying ‘time for a change’, ‘strong leadership by the club’. Though must be quite nice to live in such a cocooned world.
  3. ‘Unfortunatelee with the set back with wor training groouunndd, we’ve had to put on hold the planned pitch work’ ... which leads to a flood of... ‘well we’ve got the negative Rovers ‘fans’ to thank for that’ tweets.
  4. He isn’t fit to chew Sam’s discarded gum.
  5. What would give him that impression?
  6. We must do, somebody will be doing the editing as the latest defeatist nonsense he came out with today won’t be anywhere near the official site articles...
  7. All about framing his discussions with the owners in the summer. Move it away from any talk of promotion and move it towards ‘development’ (though not sure who’s ‘developed’, so that’s another failing, surely?) Totally transparent but it will probably do the job in his Pune meeting.
  8. Almost every advantage... though they are trying their utmost to remove that last one too.
  9. He’s gone from not playing at Christmas to not playing after. Progression. Two years to go. 🤦‍♂️
  10. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19233280.tony-mowbray-delivers-daniel-ayala-fitness-latest/ He said: “We’re missing our main centre half for the season who’s won promotion twice. He’s played a handful of games.
  11. Aye, doesn’t sound like you are too far away Clitheroe, ask for a tour and see for yourself what a fantastic facility it is...
  12. Well it isn’t the same thing, as it isn’t the infrastructure of the club holding us back, it’s the imbecilic owners, but we certainly agree that this club won’t be bringing in a Wagner/Ismael type appointment.
  13. Be the easiest end of season meeting in Pune ever, ’So you said your target was top 6, did you hit it?’ ’Dunno, haven’t looked’.
  14. A lot of the land at Whitebirk falls under Hyndburn BC... so Mill Hill St Peters it is - hopefully we can nab their groundsman as part of the deal, their pitch is in better nick than ours...
  15. No he’s probably telling the truth there, file it with; ‘I don’t work on set pieces’ and ‘I don’t do tactics’
  16. He’ll keep getting contracts in the game, because clubs will see the undoubted potential and will take a punt, but if he screwed his head on he could still have a real career. Not sure he will though.
  17. ‘His injury probably makes this meaningless ‘ Some way to open an article, that. 🤨 And generally the standard of writing in the rest of it, thought I was reading a Facebook post on TheRovers, not something from (presumably) a qualified journalist...
  18. Where is ‘performances vs results’ remotely a debate anywhere else in first team football? Oh yes, just the one club where a manager has a job to save with imbecilic owners. These teenage data geeks really are Mowbray’s useful idiots
  19. Constant talk of ‘two sites’, which is more disingenuous language like ‘state of the art’ and ‘tired, 30 year old facilities’. ‘Two sites’ makes it sound like they on the other side of Lancashire or somewhere, not a brisk walk down a hill...
  20. If they haven’t learnt this after a decade, why will they suddenly start to? It’s obviously just how they like to run things.
  21. They’ve certainly only cherry picked bits from Rev’s letter... wonder why? 🤔
  22. I’m not interested in ‘passion’, plenty of ‘passionate’ owners and execs feck up too. But Christ, if this is ‘just a job’ to them, something they do without emotion and they are still making such a mess after so many years, then god help us.
  23. Sorry... this weakens the case for wanting Mowbray out, how?
  24. He’s insinuating that he’s talking to the owners... which is probably a lie. Presumably J*B is correct... which means Waggott is a liar too. Again, why bother with all the lies? Why not say Pasha is in charge reporting to Balaji? He’s the owner so if that’s the structure they want, fine. Why the cloak and dagger constantly? It’s no wonder that there is such a lack of trust in motives.
  25. Mowbray last week; ‘ I talk about the games to them, what they saw, they don’t like to lose as I don’t like to lose, but they see the team performing at a level.‘ What decisions does Waggott make? I’ve no idea, J*B’s sources make it sound like he makes none of them... which means he is lying when he says; ‘Waggott says the owners have given him authority to make decisions on their behalf while he also plans to announce a new senior management structure at the club. “I have the authority and I make all the calls within the club. So it is me who is responsible. Suhail has a role still, as a representative of the owners, but that’s purely to advise me sometimes, so I use him as an advisory role sometimes. “But the decisions are made by me.‘ https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16311127.decision-making-process-rovers-much-improved---waggott/
