  1. 1) it isn’t ‘30 years old’ the first team were still often training down on the field near my then house at Pleckgate in 1995. Extremely disingenuous, like it’s a bunch of mouldy Portakabins a la Blackpool. 2) ‘New State of the art’, says who? 3) I notice there is no mention of the Academy moving forward or Cat A, merely ‘pathways’, that could mean PNE style scraping of younger teams, ‘B’ teams etc.
  2. Statement due? Little punt on the social media comments that will follow said statement... ‘Excellent stuff from the club’ ’Not sure how you can put a negative spin on this’ ’It’s dated anyway’ ’It’ll be great to have everybody on one site’ ’Jack wanted the club to wash its face’ ’’Something about Bolton’
  3. From the Rovers Trust website. Legal covenants state that the site cannot be used for non-sporting purposes. https://www.roverstrust.com/2016/09/20/brockhall-ewood-ownership-briefing/ I presume then you will be fighting against this @mhead and the rest of the Trust?
  4. Well we’ve been informed repeatedly that the owners are no longer badly advised and only want the best for the club, so surely these plans are theirs alone, will only be for our benefit and there’s certainly no nefarious property developers within the camp taking advantage of a neglected business ..
  5. No mention of that supposed 12 month option here. Sounds like ‘you don’t sign, you don’t play’. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19104096.mowbray-outlines-prospect-rovers-agreeing-new-nyambe-deal/
  6. Best lock the thread, the application is in...
  7. And people honestly think the current coaching staff are going anywhere? The journey certainly is just beginning...
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/15658246.rovers-trust-disappointed-bid-make-brockhall-asset-community-value-rejected/ ACV status rejected for Brockhall in 2017.
  9. Two jobs in a row for Venus end up with planning applications for housing at the workplace... I mean, what are the chances?
  10. @callumrovers did say earlier today that ‘several announcements’ out of the club were imminent...
  11. Good point - @J*B @K-Hod @Herbie6590 can you create a new Brockhall Development thread out of this one with today’s posts?
  12. The plot thickens. Looks as if they want to build new consolidated Senior/Academy facilities on the existing Academy site as they are flogging off the Senior Training Centre site for housing? https://www.ribblevalley.gov.uk/planningApplication/32735?fbclid=IwAR3eiJtGgMqK04wYuSPsxx8roAwE2MFbtZ-RZNsFzU8y-YKEU_PjqR--Srk
  13. I’m no planning expert, so if anyone that is wants to put my mind at rest to what’s currently lodged with Ribble Valley Council. https://www.ribblevalley.gov.uk/site/scripts/planx_details.php?appNumber=3%2F2021%2F0175
  14. I know. My point being, he shouldn’t even be comparing this non competing mess of a side to a progressive, automatic promotion chasing team in the first place.
  15. What has a team chasing automatic promotion and losing an odd game as they do so, a totally normal turn of events, got to do with a team in their standard position of mid table chasing nothing in particular?
  16. A new broom is desperately needed throughout the club. It has all become terribly stale and in the post-Covid world all businesses have to be nimble and innovative. I just can’t see that being possible with Waggott and crew at the helm.
  17. ‘Yet I feel the negativity, potentially from yourselves, because I understand the expectation that I brought to this football team, not to the club, because this is Blackburn Roversand I understand Blackburn Rovers historically should be fighting in the Premier League’ Noticed how he’s partially rowed back on his comments from Wednesday. On the ‘negative’ part, It’s not the media’s job to be positive or negative, but to prod and probe and hold those in positions of authority to account. The LT/Radio Lancs should never be a PR arm of the club.
  18. Probably the first time I won’t pay this season. It’ll be Andy Bayes for me then as he describes the match off an ifollow stream from a Blackburn studio. What odd times we are living through...
  19. That’s AFC Fylde’s ‘EFL by 2022’ motto in tatters, then...
  20. Forget that, target has to be 50/51 from now on, and that’s with all the top sides to come in late Feb and March...
  21. We are seeing standard behaviour as a manager gets to the end of his shelf life. Confusing tactics, constant changes of side and system, increasingly odd interviews, poor body language. It’s a bunch of players that are no longer responding to their manager, it happens, 4 years is an age in the modern game, and the side is now merely treading water, the team is crying out for a new voice. It is amplified here because these situations drag on much longer than they do at normal clubs.
  22. This thread is 99% pointless as we all know he’s ‘well protected’ within the club, and I doubt that the owners give that cash black hole of a football club they own much thought outside of the annual Pune summer summit. But I suppose they are partial to an odd decision out of nowhere, I remember folk thinking that Bowyer was in situ for as long as he wanted, until he wasn’t, and Lambert had arrived within hours. Difference being GB didn’t have allies in executive positions...
  23. Take it the Journey-ometer is now back to year 1, game 1? As our famed ‘possession based game’ seems to have been replaced with ‘young centre halves hoof it forward’
