  1. The ‘rest’ after everyone’s been paid and these State of the Art facilities have been built is going to ‘balance the books’. Whose ‘books’ then? The enormous debts owed to the Rao’s? Or will it sort out the structural issues we have as a non PL club with wages at 80% of turnover that means the owners have to pump in millions every few months? Please let us know, Arran.
  2. I’m more of an half 12 man myself, but 1pm is still in the dinner window.
  3. Then said useful idiots will then simply go ‘we aren’t a PL club anymore, we need to be realistic’ ’Lets be honest, Brockhall was far too big anyway’. ’we are a small club’ ’Bolton’
  4. Reading about the postponement of the National League North/South in the Sunday Times and it says Darlington in the 6th tier are selling close to a 1,000 streams of their version of ifollow each week. Sure ours isn’t massively up on that, not sure if to be impressed by Darlo or worried about the rapidly waning interest here...
  5. ‘Never go back’ is the old maxim, especially when the facilities will soon be a shadow of what he left behind...
  6. That statement was so odd to me. Absolutely no mention of the Academy and its pivotal Cat 1 status, a feather in the cap that surely gets mentioned in a PR puff piece about the club moving forward? And the actual owners were not mentioned either, a massive infrastructure project and they are nowhere to be seen. Who then, is ‘the club’ here? A few salaried hired hands like Waggott? Very, very strange..
  7. Every chance it’s a 50+ points season. 12 points needed and all the top sides to play in the coming weeks...
  8. Name another manager that... -Is more about ‘performances’ than results. - Who ‘isn’t into formations’ - Who ‘doesn’t have time to work on set pieces’ Some gig this.
  9. Venus next if TM ends up having enough? Win, win as he’ll get to keep an eye on his developments...
  10. So why didn’t he say that the other night then when asked about his absence? Instead of a shrug and ‘no reason’. Great that we have a local press picking up on these daily contradictions, isn’t it...
  11. As I said the other night. All about 50 points now.
  12. Because clubs often have a picture of a corner flag when they post a ‘Club Statement’ article sacking a manager.
  13. In what way are they ‘not to standard?’ What examples of substandard facilities do you have? Considering the statement made no mention of any commitment to the Cat 1 (or even an acknowledgment of that key ongoing success of the club, which is odd considering you are trying to sell a plan) just ‘pathways’, I’d be very wary of pinning my hopes on that.
  14. Of course it will be difficult, and it might take a while to get the full story. Good, investigative journalism is often a long, frustrating process. But Sharpe at al need to get their feelers out now
  15. A club that drags its feet in even clearing weeds and grime from Ewood Park is now going to build a facility that is industry leading? Mowbray ‘chose’ to not use the indoor facilities at Brockhall, instead helping to reduce Ewood to akin a ploughed field - bad winters were exactly why the indoor centre was constructed. Though they could well be mothballed already for all we know...
  16. It’s time for Rich Sharpe and his fellow Rovers reporting colleagues to get out of their ‘Dack was a 6, Elliott was a 7’ comfort zone and do what they are actually trained as - journalists. What are the links with Coventry? What is Venus’ role? Who is pushing this within the club? Why does the statement make no reference to one of the club’s other remaining Crown Jewels - Cat A status, speaking of mere ‘pathways’. The fanbase often takes what the club says at face value, as that’s all they are exposed to - Sharpe, Crooke, Bayes - time to stand up.
  17. I’ll await these plans with interest, as undoubtedly elite facilities and sport science has moved on in the last 20 years, so I’m looking forward to being ‘state of the art’ in this area...
  18. 1) it isn’t ‘30 years old’ the first team were still often training down on the field near my then house at Pleckgate in 1995. Extremely disingenuous, like it’s a bunch of mouldy Portakabins a la Blackpool. 2) ‘New State of the art’, says who? 3) I notice there is no mention of the Academy moving forward or Cat A, merely ‘pathways’, that could mean PNE style scraping of younger teams, ‘B’ teams etc.
  19. Statement due? Little punt on the social media comments that will follow said statement... ‘Excellent stuff from the club’ ’Not sure how you can put a negative spin on this’ ’It’s dated anyway’ ’It’ll be great to have everybody on one site’ ’Jack wanted the club to wash its face’ ’’Something about Bolton’
  20. From the Rovers Trust website. Legal covenants state that the site cannot be used for non-sporting purposes. https://www.roverstrust.com/2016/09/20/brockhall-ewood-ownership-briefing/ I presume then you will be fighting against this @mhead and the rest of the Trust?
  21. Well we’ve been informed repeatedly that the owners are no longer badly advised and only want the best for the club, so surely these plans are theirs alone, will only be for our benefit and there’s certainly no nefarious property developers within the camp taking advantage of a neglected business ..
  22. No mention of that supposed 12 month option here. Sounds like ‘you don’t sign, you don’t play’. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19104096.mowbray-outlines-prospect-rovers-agreeing-new-nyambe-deal/
  23. Best lock the thread, the application is in...
  24. And people honestly think the current coaching staff are going anywhere? The journey certainly is just beginning...
