  1. Or it’ll be the ⬜️? still...
  2. He’ll be doing it remotely now... bloody COVID
  3. Very loose interpretation of an ‘Under 23’ team
  4. Bolton have pretty much sold their total from last season already. Obviously out of their collective minds over there...
  5. £350 at sides, £275 behind the goal. So not much of/if any reduction considering it won’t be 23 games that it will cover.
  6. So every chance fourth division Bolton will sell more STs than a team that’s just finished in the top half of the Championship. Of course, it doesn’t have to be the case, and I await the club’s offering - but it will be a serious worry for me and the future for this football club (though I presume nobody will be particularly arsed at Ewood) if that does transpire.
  7. As a ‘wide forward’, I’d agree, SG is dreadful out there. But I won’t be too harsh on Gallagher until he gets a run as a centre forward
  8. If your creed in life is to just ‘see the positives’, an ‘it’ll be reight’ approach then good luck to you. However, others like to use past experiences and evidence to form their views, indeed that is how individuals, teams, businesses improve. Just ‘expecting things to turn out fine in the end’ due to cod philosophical views like the ‘laws of attraction‘ etc isn’t the way multi million pound outfits get better results . Ergo painting those that turn a critical eye on an internet message board with about 40 regular posters as ‘damaging to Blackburn Rovers’ and we’d see better results on the pitch if this obscure place we waste our time on was merely ‘Rovers, ra ra ra’, is not only nonsensical, as ALL posters on here are desperate for us to do well, but also ruins debate.
  9. Exactly! As long as you get behind the team at Ewood, folk can say what they like on here. Doesn’t impact the team one iota. Though it does amuse me that those that love to talk about ‘positivity’ and ‘optimism’ in life gets their kicks by wind ups and petty point scoring on an anonymous message board, bit of a negative and damaging approach, no? ?‍♂️
  10. How does it ‘damage’ Rovers if someone is negative on a message board?
  11. Because of the late start to the season, there are a large number of Saturday/Tuesday fixtures over winter. If it is looking a mess in August, you can only imagine what it will be like in January...
  12. Name names. Who ‘hates’ the manager, coaches, and even more specifically the folk just doing their job down at Ewood, in the ticket office or elsewhere?
  13. Didn’t we used to have an Ewood team and a Brockhall team? Now it’s just one trying to cover both sites?
  14. Who says it’s our fault if he doesn’t sign? We went for it, but gazumped by PL firepower, that’s the food chain...
  15. We have billionaire owners who oversee a global conglomerate, how is that comparable to Bolton - cockney spiv who didn’t have a pot to piss in, Bury - local property speculators and other potless businessmen, and Wigan - sold to professional gamblers based in the Far East?
  16. It isn’t the sole purpose though, is it? Initially they are obviously bought for our team, but young English forwards are known to go for the big bucks, which is the model we are/were following, which is a sensible approach, but you need to ensure you are seeking ‘value’ with those initial purchases - see AA as a prime example of it.
  17. Someone send that to Waggott...
  18. It’s a sign of how desperate fans are for him to do well that his improvement from a very low base - I.e he can now actually run with the ball and hold off a man is lauded. Fair enough, as it’s better for everyone all round that he gets better. Does he look like he has the tools to be a PL player? As surely that’s what you are betting on when you buy a teenager for £7million, frankly no at this stage. I would say the ‘model’ has malfunctioned on this one as I don’t see us getting a return on investment, in contrast to the excellent bit of business that was Armstrong, but hopefully he can at least make it as a decent Championship player, big season ahead for all involved.
  19. Every player gets abuse on Twitter after poor performances. Gallagher, Bell, Bennett, Walton just off the top of my head from last season. Nasty and completely counter-productive stuff they wouldn’t dare say to their face, but it’s the modern world unfortunately. However, at games, by and large he’s been given fantastic support considering just how poor he’s been for large parts, and it’s been a credit to the match going support.
  20. I don’t particularly buy the lines that have been fed to J*B, but if that’s what they are going with then tell the fanbase. It’s September on Tuesday and we’ve had one statement since March (and that was a tweaked EFL press release about ifollow for ST holders). Just piss poor communication.
  21. Dack is a fair player bit he still works (I see graft as your whole approach to your career, training, rehabilitation etc, not just tracking back etc.) If his career fails it’s on him, not Tony Mowbray. Though on the flip side, he leaves here and thrives, then of course it is a black mark on Mowbray and his man management.
  22. Mowbray has all manner of faults, but one thing I’ve always been pleased with is that his sides have always grafted for the shirt and each other. I just don’t see Chapman buying into it. Is that partly due to TM being overly critical on young players? Probably, but the likes of Nyambe and Travis have shown the desire and professionalism to thrive anyway. It’s a short career and the responsibility for your career ultimately comes down to yourself, alas Chapman doesn’t look like he wants it enough and there are plenty that do and will elbow him aside (looks like one has just arrived).
  23. We all were? I was just relieved to get out quickly and fair play to everyone involved for achieving it. But I certainly didn’t see coming second in the third division as something to crow about or something the players or managers should live off in perpetuity.
  24. I personally think he does have the ability. However, his attitude and general approach to himself and his fitness says he’ll be in the lower leagues (if playing football at all) sooner rather than later.
  25. 1) They are being highly optimistic if they think we are only going to be a few hundred down on last season. 2) ’Don’t want to do the admin’, neatly sums up the operation down there this past decade. 3) Ok, so we put them on sale in, say, November ready for the transfer window, my answer to 1) becomes even more relevant as they are in cloud cuckoo land if they think they are selling decent numbers with fans almost a year out of the ground and a very real threat of a second wave mixed in with winter flu season (nevermind what state the job market will be in).
