  1. I didn’t even realise there was any yesterday, as like most fans, I was caught in the moment going crackers. So what’s the point of it? The roar and celebration of the crowd when a goal is scored is all the sound you ever need.
  2. Tosin looked comfortable on the ball, is a big lad and could pick out a pass, surely he should be starting if we want to be playing this new ‘progressive style’? Lenihan is committed, but cultured he ain’t.
  3. I think it was generally better attended than usual, as all stands looked fuller, certainly less than a 1,000 in the freebie BEnd upper, so plenty of extra tickets will have been bought too. So of course, we provide a performance like that.
  4. And both are a million miles away from DG. ‘Evolving styles’, ‘succession planning’ and all the rest of it is all well and good. But you play your best players until potential replacements are up to scratch.
  5. One goal against an unpaid, already relegated rabble. I don’t think that tells us anything either way.
  6. There were some Scout groups up there too. Good to see, it’s empty every game, utilise it. I could hear them throughout the game, and they were loudly booing Luton’s goals which amused me.
  7. As I said the other week, look how quickly Garry Monk has ended up back in the game, yet that disgrace of a man hasn’t even had a sniff of a coaching job in the UK in 7 years, says it all.
  8. Stoke have just gone 10 home games in a row without a win, worst run in their history. He’ll be potted soon you’d imagine.
  9. Interesting views on Mulgrew above, it was amazing how quickly he declined after Christmas last season.
  10. If FFP didn’t exist I’d by happy enough for the owners to throw 7 million on as many ‘projects’ as possible, if some flopped so be it. But surely in a FFP world and the parameters it sets on the club we don’t have that luxury and it isn’t just simply ‘the owners money’ anymore.
  11. Just leaving Ewood. Matt spoke with real honesty and told a few cracking tales. He got a fantastic reception and it made me proud to be a Rover
  12. I was a big fan of Nyambe, for a teenager he looked to have the lot. However there is no doubt for me that he’s regressed as a full back. Now you could well blame TM for that as he was unceremoniously dropped back end of last season when he was no worse than the rest of the defence, but currently I wouldn’t be starting him as he seems to be bereft of confidence.
  13. Of course, but don’t take the moral high ground with others if they haven’t as yet changed theirs too.
  14. Ha I skipped past that bit as I wasn’t sure what he was getting at. I enjoy a good trawl of old threads to back up my point as much as the next man.
  15. ‘We may all want him sacked’ sure sounded like you agreed with the sentiment? The rest of the post above is generally fair enough, but then surely you should be cutting some slack to others who haven’t as yet been on the journey and reached the same view you have over the past six weeks?
  16. Hang on a minute Dreams you were happy for him to be sacked after TWO GAMES this season! So all a bit rich for you to now accuse other posters of being unreasonable and one eyed, unable to see the long term plan and development of the squad under him etc etc.
  17. Outside Blackburn and Darwen the towns and villages of Hyndburn have been a bedrock of our support for generations. Kudos to Holt, but it is extremely worrying. It is getting to the stage where only long standing Hyndburn based Rovers supporting families are coming to Ewood, not that we are the natural club for Ossy residents etc.
  18. Sold around a 1,000 so far...
  19. Oh of course. We would sell plenty more than the usual few hundred.
  20. Crowds may rise a little on good form and they do generally as the season gets properly going. But we are talking hundreds. Its only a decent season ticket sale rise that will lead to a proper increase, and Waggott just flunked that (again).
  21. In talks over a new deal... https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17919627.rovers-talks-bradley-dack-new-contract/
  22. Other clubs go on the train. Two hours or so to London from Preston and then a half hour train to Reading. Got to be preferable than a 6 hour coach journey trying to get down the M6/M40/M4 on a Friday afternoon.
  23. The Tom Finney holds about 8,000. Any new stand would be more akin to the Invincible's stand opposite, you’d wager.
