Don’t think I’d recovered from Brentford until about September.

‘We have a robust procurement process that aims to get the best value for supporters Thank you for your correspondence’ -
Feel free to discuss him. A good number of posters are saying he would be a good option in said discussion. Ergo lowered expectations.

A page called ‘fan banter’. I’d rather have rang ClubCall back in the day...

Nice income stream for them as they take loan fees for dozens of players every season, whilst qualifying as ‘home grown’ quota players too, I imagine. -

Kane’s nearly 26 and never played a game for the club he’s spent his career contracted to. A symbol of a broken system. -
Shows the rapid lowering of expectations being disguised as positivity on the forum. Nobody would have been suggesting Payne in May. As well they shouldn’t have if we have any kind of aspirations. Couldn’t get into our third division side and has just spent the season getting relegated to the fourth division.

Flat track bully. Made it look easy against the likes of Ipswich, didn’t look up for it against tougher opposition.
-
A fine example of the decline of Blackburn Rovers that a free, third division centre half has generated about 50 pages of discussion.

Hasn’t someone just photoshopped badge/sponsor on to that stock Umbro teamwear kit from a few pages back? But I suppose that’s what we get every season anyway...

Phil Jones To Leave Utd - Sell On Clause?

A load of academy lads aren’t going to get 20 games, as an example I wouldn’t want Magloire to get them as I don’t think he’s ready and needs loaning out to toughen up, especially in the air. You’re being a bit naive here. -
They both have faults bluebruce, neither are PL quality as a result. Are we really going to get better than Hanley? I’d have him over the likes of Bauer any day of the week.
-
Hanley and Lenihan is exactly what we need. Darragh’s mobility combined with an actual no nonsense head it/kick it type.

Stoke fans think they are a ‘mess of a club’. Nope, just an average sized one that succumbed to a relegation, it happens. They are a properly run club, with decision makers on the ground. -
Only our FA would give Aidy Fecking Boothroyd a new contract a week BEFORE a major tournament...

Phil Jones To Leave Utd - Sell On Clause?

Some of the lads aren’t currently up to it Joe. Unfortunately Magloire was one of them, looked very weak. Wharton can’t get into 4th division sides. Tomlinson has had a host of off field problems. The way it is with young players. Their obviously is a pathway, agree Travis took too long to get in the side, no arguments, but some of the others aren’t currently good enough. -

Doesn’t sound like the club to me, they’ve always been very accommodating of that kind of stuff. I’d check again using the examples in here. If you don’t get anywhere ask for the manager. -
You didn’t say ‘manipulating the club for his own ends’ in that first post, you talked about people pointing out some of his poor transfer decisions, his own weaknesses like lack of ruthlessness/motivational skills etc as ‘sticks to beat him with’, I said it’s fair game to talk about them. Of course the school stuff etc. is ridiculous tin foil hat nonsense, but that wasn’t the thrust of that first post.

He probably does have to take it, but a De Matteo style quick sacking, you’d imagine (without the trophies) -
So people aren’t allowed to criticise Mowbray’s approach to transfers, the comments he makes, the mistakes he makes, his lack of motivational skills, his lack of ruthlessness, the tactics he employs etc (Atko’s observations, by the way) as it is ‘a stick to beat him with’ ? He’s the manager of a club who finished 15th last season, so he’s going to get critiqued just like every manager of every club on every forum. He’s fair game. I’m getting a bit sick of the posting decency police (and I’m someone who thinks he’s doing fine, as it goes) deciding Mowbray should be off limits, should he buggery!

If Samuel had been fit he’d have been another striker resembling a fish on a bicycle out wide.

Big difference biffing 400 on flat tracks in a 5 match no context bilateral series, to a pressure cooker World Cup game on pitches with something in it for bowlers.

Yes. The Old Firm fanbases are full of glory hunters from outside Glasgow . Ergo they are much bigger clubs than the rest as most towns in Scotland are rife with Old Firm fans to the detriment to that town’s football club. Plus there is the NI/RoI fanbases coming over for games. Full houses prove the point. You honestly think most of the 100,000+ that watch them in the grounds come from Glasgow? Do you, by the way? For a supposed Scottish football expert I’m surprised that you don’t seem to be aware of the massive Celtic and Rangers supporters associations that arrange travel to matches from most towns in Scotland. Good luck to them, but it is no surprise therefore that they have utterly dominated the game up there for 100+ years
-
Says more about the ridiculously lopsided Scottish game than anything else. Coach loads of people from every town in Scotland going to Glasgow every weekend instead of supporting their local sides.
