Im talking about posters on here mentioning him as an incoming centre half and his games for West Brom... he was a full back, he’s never played in a first team as a centre half, so expectations of the lad helping to solve our central defence issues need dosing down.

That’s a different issue. He’s being billed as a centre half, a position we massively need reinforcing. Yet he’s a teenager that’s never played their professionally.

They’ve obviously known about Williams for most of pre season - he’s not featured in a friendly. So if a couple of centre halves don’t come in then that’s even more of a worry on what’s going through TM’s head as they’ve had ample time to realise we’ve an issue (in an already weak area) and sort.

Because lots of people on here would rather see a young lad get a chance, me included, so you got lots of likes. Some obviously like Adam and would like to have seen him sign. So they are disappointed. Game of opinions, fancy that!

This wasn’t. He rang up himself and asked to train . He got a game at Barrow due to an injury. Fairly common in the game, so not a trial. As I said not a bad life.

So JW and/or the Trust were funnelling money out?

Great life being a footballer though, ain’t it. Free agent, but ring up a club asking if you can train, rock up and take part in sessions, use the facilities, get physio and massages. eat the food, get yourself fit and then get a contract somewhere else.

He’s obviously not remotely interested in playing in England again, two and a half weeks to go and not bothered with a pre-season. 27 years old, should be reaching his peak. A symbol of the modern game.
