  1. Big Brexiteer is their owner, he has big billboards about it on his land around Wesham, Lytham etc.
  2. Fylde had 700 fans, I believe.
  3. They’d done bugger all for years before this season.
  4. I’ve a lot of time for the likes of West Brom, Wolves, Derby County. Proper, provincial football clubs full of tradition, like our good selves.
  5. I thought he had improved a bit second half of the season. But he looked completely past it last week, bad timing for him, but let’s hope it made TM’s decision for him.
  6. Don’t want to be the one to break it to you Rev, but Mulgrew signed one a few months ago... until 2021
  7. I really thought it had legs, because I heard it from a few different sources who aren't exactly Madon spying on Brockhall with binoculars accurate, but not bad.
  8. No truth in the disbanding rumour then.
  9. Great leader, runs the dressing room etc and all that. He does give that impression, so offer him a coaching role. If he still wants to play, good luck to him, but not here.
  10. I agree we won’t see 20,000 average crowds in this league again. But are we capable of selling a fair few more than 10,000 season tickets? I think without doubt, we just need more imagination and drive from the club.
  11. Noticed Lenihan and Evans interviewed for the official site today. Both talking about top 6 - definitely season ticket sale season!
  12. Pocket money for Harrogate-ers
  13. No arguments there JH
  14. However, look at the average crowds of your EFL ‘regulars’, so Birmingham, Bristol City, Sheff Utd, Derby, Forest and so on and their crowds have risen massively since our last promotion in 2001. Our average crowd of 20,000 back then had us 3rd, now it would be 13th in the averages. The common denominator is they are city clubs with vast catchment areas and a dormant floating support has for some reason re-emerged. Unfortunately, clubs like us and Bolton just don’t have that floating support, just a very loyal core that doesn’t really wax or wane by much. I would wager that we are one of the few clubs in England getting lower crowds now than in 2001 (if at the same level).
  15. I was at a wedding when Stoke away was on this season. Our table didn't hear a word of the speeches as we were refreshing Twitter for updates as that mad last 10 minutes was going on.
  16. It’s the competition the media want. A European Super League in all but name for big city clubs. They never wanted us, league champions, in it in the first place.
  17. A new striker ready to play has to be the priority. We don't get one in and Graham breaks his leg after the window shuts, we would be seriously up against it. We got away with it this season, as he was surprisingly robust, but he'll be 34 in August.
  18. 10 years ago we didn't, shows how small time a lot of our fans have become -mirror image of that lot.
  19. Go on Tottenham, you can have this one after Cardiff 2002.
  20. Amazing that they would willingly throw away our heritage https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2019/mar/28/fa-rebrand-efa-arrogant-2030-world-cup-bid
  21. Bloody hell, it was only a youth game!
  22. What happened to it? Probably a bit before it’s time, would do great in that position now, close to Darwen/Lower Darwen folk too.
  23. Didn’t the Darwen End have a gym when it was first built?
  24. When Luton were stuck in administration, on top of breaking third party payments rules they got a 30 point deduction...
