  1. You’re obviously a more charitable man than me. The only loyalty TM should have when it comes to new contracts is to the club.
  2. Didn't Arsenal just release Welbeck after spending the season injured? He's had the best medical care whilst under contract, but now it's time to move on, he can't have any complaints.
  3. Thing with Rodwell is motivation. Sometimes just looks like he's playing on auto-pilot. No doubt he's full of class at this level.
  4. Had a peruse of a Leeds forum last night. They weren't surprised they lost due to the 'EFL agenda against them', that includes appointing Manc ref Anthony Taylor
  5. Leeds have spent more years outside the top flight than in it. They are nowt to write home about. They just happen to be lucky enough to be the only club in one of the country’s biggest cities.
  6. Waggott’s praying for a Derby winner...
  7. Of course, you win some, you lose some, was ever thus. But to enter negotiations with some of the existing losers is just unfathomable. Contract runs out and they move on.
  8. He’s a league 1 player and good luck to him, but surely no place in our squad if we supposedly have aspirations for the Premier League. I’m not melting down, just stating a fact, Hart was kept on, so presumably Gladwin et al will be in line too as well.
  9. Didn’t know you were a City fan, Skip?
  10. That players we expected to be depart in June without question either aren’t or are in talks to stay.
  11. We should have seen this coming in January when Hart was given a new deal.
  12. Gladwin has spent two years injured and hasn’t ever stood out at League 1 level previously. Can’t even begin to comprehend that one. Bet he thinks Christmas has come early. That is not a retained list of a club looking at whole scale improvement of the squad.
  13. To be fair to Villa. Historically and in the present day, a bigger club than Leeds any way you measure it. Yet, they get nowhere near the same media love in.
  14. Because as crowds dwindled post 2012, so did the Darwen End. If the club now wants to grow its crowds again, why not work with fans to re-create one. Work on flags/banners etc? Club after club are setting them up, and the large demographic of such areas are young adults. They aren’t coming currently, so we just say ‘well they bloody well should!’ And that’s that? As I’ve always said, the key to increased crowds is increased season ticket sales and there are many ways to attempt that. What’s to lose?
  15. Should be both. Just like it is elsewhere.
  16. Course they can. But what you find is that the folk that get involved in a sing song away from home, either don’t bother with home games ‘cos they’re shit’ or they are scattered across different stands, ergo nowt really gets going. A lot of clubs have cottoned on to this, so are now setting up designated, unreserved areas to encourage it.
  17. There are a hell of a lot of young adults that go away but rarely set foot on Ewood. Will this new category of ticket entice them in? A few, perhaps. But the majority think 'the atmosphere at Ewood is shit'. A singing SECTION promoted to such fans would be a great idea and I think would see decent numbers getting involved.. Maybe next year ay?
  18. It’s a price freeze with a new category for young adults. No reductions for full price tickets. Will that on its own see a big increase? Not for me. Couple it with a singing section and then promote the hell out of it and we’d be getting somewhere.
  19. They really rated their Polish full back who handed his notice in, presumably going back to Germany...
  20. Excellent use of the non Championship thread for Bolton, JH.
  21. This has been my go to site for 20 years and the quality of the podcasts etc are the best they’ve ever been. And I can imagine for those outside Lancs this place is a fantastic way to really feel part of the Rovers conversation. Even though we are the ‘biggest load of negative bastards on the Internet’ (We are usually right though )
  22. Because of the 'Hundred', it's going to be a 'development' competition from next season, so the Checkatrade of cricket...
  23. Lowest league crowd of the season. Play offs matches aren’t covered by season tickets. So no surprise, as just like here, a good number of season ticket holders just don’t buy match tickets.
  24. What happened to longsiders? Or Sam Dingle?
  25. 2pm - Talks about Descartes, metaphysics and disestablishmentarinism and how it relates to an away game at Barnsley. 5pm - knocks the opposing manager out in the tunnel and is boxed in in the car park as he tries to do a runner by local plod
