  1. I’ve noticed other clubs how now sorted out alternative credit arrangements with Zebra kaput. So, that shouldn’t be an excuse now...
  2. We’ve had more dickhead Preston fans on here than any other.
  3. I thought the accounts stated that we have spent it?
  4. Well it won’t be next season (Preston, that is, not t’other lot as they’ll be elsewhere )
  5. According to Sharpe, Chapman travelled, but obviously not on the bench...
  6. Well they certainly won't play on Monday then, day before an U23 game. Probably not Norwich away, 'not the right game against a top side' So, maybe 10 mins against Swansea. Real missed opportunity for their development, Shame.
  7. The 'not disrupting the U23s' is the daftest excuse I've ever heard. The whole purpose of that side and the academy in general is to provide players for the first team. Indeed Buckley or Butterworth get a game today and they will be absolutely buzzing for the U23s game at Everton on Tuesday, plus it helps Johnno's teamtalk - 'another one of you had a first team start on Friday, you're a great side etc.'.
  8. Heard him on Radio Lancs last night and he thought a few of them weren’t on it in training and needed reminding the season wasn’t over. Thats exactly why at least one young lad should be starting.
  9. That ‘slow down’ comment was either the most naive comment I’ve ever heard or he really is as good as bomb proof. The Championship is the most trigger happy league in football for managers. Most managers at this level would jump at the chance for the biggest budget possible because they could well be sacked by October.
  10. Good piece on Norwich in today’s Times. A combination of cut price/free foreigners and academy players. Must be a terrible flex!
  11. Considering one of Scotland's biggest clubs Aberdeen lost their star striker to Salford City, he'd have to take a serious wage cut...
  12. ‘Paul has recently been observing Brazil’s training sessions’ SFA’s press release, sorted!
  13. You reckon? I think it’s 100% an SFA type of appointment. I mean McLeish!
  14. At least the Champions League and World Cup are resolving them quickly. You just know it will be 10 minutes stoppage time a half with our authorities involved.
  15. We need an UPGRADED left back, centre half, possibly right back, central midfielder (as Reed won’t be seen again) and another striker - as we cannot go into another season with 1 proper forward (a 34 year old one to boot). That’s before you start to look at ‘adding a bit of depth’.
  16. ‘So why did you finish bottom of the group, Paul?’ ’Great country this. Lot went on before I came here. The SFA needs a wee bit of help’
  17. For a dead rubber with crap transport links on Good Friday and tickets up to £33, a following that will probably not far off a 1,000 is a good effort.
  18. Pep on the touchline was like performance art https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fJ3Cbzk_3M
  19. I went to the India test at Trent Bridge last summer and it was like a mini Lord's. Just little touches like the old brickwork, hanging baskets etc. LCCC really missed a trick with the re-development, but hey, just think of how many conferences and concerts they can put on!
  20. Definitely. I know we are at a lower level, but I can't remember a crop like this since Duff, Dunn and Johnno himself. Perhaps the Phil Jones and Hanley cohort - maybe it's a once a decade occurrence!
  21. All that development and the ground still feels souless. Trent Bridge, it aint.
  22. It used to feel like half the PL keepers were wearing it!
  23. The state of Ewood is something that really annoys me. We have discussed at the length the total lack of initiatives when it comes to fan experience. However, at a more basic level the place looks like it hasn't had a deep clean or a lick of paint for a decade plus, yet is that solely the fault of the owners? I think I've said before that I used to use the gym built into PNEs away end and it always struck me how there were always people jet washing the stands, painting and generally sprucing the place up. Does Trevor Hemmings insist on this? Does he put more cash in than Venky's? i would say probably not on the first and definitely not on the second, yet they still seem to have maintained a professional pride at the club that we have lost. This can come down to constantly changing execs on the ground - and that comes back to the owners again ultimately.
