JH isn’t saying we should be selling 20,000 season tickets by March, we all know our club’s current limitations. The point is that putting them on sale in the close season limits selling time and also is a time of year when many potential purchasers have switched off from football, saving for holidays etc. The fact we couldn’t even get them on sale for Oxford last season (or new kits in the club shop) just shows how behind the curve we continue to be.

We just aren’t used to it. It’s standard practice at most other clubs.

Bizarre part of it is that they turned down 1,000 people and capped it at 2,500. Why? There’s 18,000 empty seats!

They’ve been in touch with the schools for a while over this, great idea. Long overdue. I know lads that are still regulars now that started with a school trip to Ewood. Not just a Rovers issue, but unless kids have an avid family, there’s every chance they are glory fans. It’s worse than its ever been, so get them interested in local clubs early.

I’m praying that the ‘heritage’ Cambridge blue will be just that once again next season.

A lot of clubs now are simplifying their badges. Tottenham and Liverpool (on their shirt), for example, just a cockerel and liver bird, stripping away all the bells and whistles. I love the badge, but it is of its time.

The sad get that I am, I like to peruse other club’s twitters and forums, and we are one of the very, very few not to have had them on sale for a substantial period already. Im afraid it will never change with this dysfunctional set up.

Yep. He likes buying attaking players but won’t play them because they ‘don’t help the defensive side’ Yet, won’t bring in an actual centre half, relying on converted centre mids and usually has at least one midfielder at full back as well. Crackers.

Remember when the qualifiers used to be an event in themselves? When was the last time we lost one?

They’ve got West Brom, Leeds and Sheff Utd in their next 3 games. Could be in big trouble by Easter.

Does still happen, Mel Morris at Derby has only owned them 3 years, but he’s obviously releasing how you just lose money hand over fist in this league.

Promotion aside, the ‘human beings’, ‘soldiers and artists’, ‘bovril’, ‘jumpers for goalposts’ stuff goes a long way with a lot of fans. Any other manager we’ve had post Hughes would be getting pelters. I mean look at the shit a top manager like Sam got. He is still mostly backed to the hilt online (well, not here!) and the games from what I can see.

‘It’s hard to find many positives’. Disgraceful. Shocking stuff to put online. What if any of ‘the lads’ read it?
