  1. Good job they got through in the cup, that 100k prize money will keep them going, well until February’s wages are due...
  2. Out of contract in the summer, isn’t he?
  3. We just don’t sell tickets for standard cup ties, we haven’t for years. Even a quarter final against Millwall, semi final against Villa etc had around 8,000 home fans. Largely because a majority of season ticket holders don’t bother. We need to put Oxford to one side, total one off event.
  4. God knows! I know a few myself. They’ve paid their money in July and that’s that. Especially when it’s on TV.
  5. 20,000?! For a game probably on BBC1? If there’s 8k home fans there I’d be surprised. The reason Rotherham in the league will have more home fans than Newcastle in the cup is because a majority of season ticket holders don’t bother buying a ticket for cup ties, simple as that.
  6. Looks like the Riverside’s open. Obviously expecting a bumper crowd!
  7. End of the day he’s doing his development in our first team in the Championship. At one point we’d have had him loaned out and these odd mistakes would have been on some other club’s watch. He is a potential star in the making and in the mean time we will have to live with his slip ups.
  8. Round 3 is always in alphabetical order, no idea how subsequent rounds work.
  9. The lad needs games. 15 minutes won’t do anything for him or his confidence. The club needs to swallow some pride and put him in the U23s (as there’s little chance of loaning him out).
  10. Depends if Waggott is still in Coventry mode or if he’s worked out east Lancs yet.
  11. £15/£20 won’t see more than 5/6k home fans for a midweek January game on free to air TV.
  12. Looking at the fixtures so far and still to play. Unless both Man City and Liverpool draw, we will definitely be on TV for the replay, perhaps even the BBC. So, tickets MUST be £10 to even attract a modest crowd. If Waggott’s eyes light up and he tries to charge league match prices for a ‘mouthwatering tie against Premier League giants’ we could be looking at a near empty ground for the nation to see.
  13. Stuart has took a photo and pasted in the hard copy on the last page, readable with a bit of zooming in!
  14. Watching the Sunderland doc was a real insight into the tireless work people put in to football clubs, so you can picture Leslie and the other staff at Brockhall and Ewood.
  15. He’s been getting a hell of a lot of shots blocked this season, perhaps he let’s fly a split second too late, giving Championship defenders their chance.
  16. Not masses in it about Rovers. More a ‘life in football’ piece. Real ‘the smell of the bovril, the glare of the floodlights’ type stuff you’d expect from Mogga!
  17. Good piece in the Times. It explains why Venus was absent for a while. His wife died of breast cancer just before Christmas.
  18. Past performance? We are getting a more consistent tune out of Graham now than any other season.
  19. Nope. People getting confused with the internet and real life again.
  20. No it isn’t, but if ‘moneyball’ is their solution, it has to be done better than this.
  21. He spent a lot of time around the club in the glory days. Was he Kenny’s biographer/ghost writer?
  22. I’d rest Graham and that’s it. He’s so pivotal to how we play and a jaded or injured DG would be extremely detrimental. Plus gives BB another chance.
  23. Confirmed... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/january/rovers-strike-double-deal/ Nice work announcing it with a new deal for DG!
  24. I thought he was ok at Sheff Utd, though fairly anonymous. But his sub performances at Ewood have been dreadful at late, no dressing those up. What is clear is that 10 minutes here and there will do nothing for him. He isn’t good enough to start in the first team, so he either needs to play regularly for the U23s or go out on loan. Just like would be the case for any other raw 19 year old, the fact we’ve spent big money doesn’t alter where he is in his development.
