  1. If I went to a gym I wouldn't be going back. I'd be looking to get my exercise fix somewhere else. While the days are long I'd be cycling running walking or doing gym style exercises in the park or a field or garden. Outdoors is better anyway. Take up canoeing or rowing or whatever outdoors at a club near you
  2. They're not opening in Blackburn are they?
  3. I was in the Lakes anyway so couldn't watch anything not on terrestrial tv.
  4. I cant find time to watch all I've got stacked up already. Dont throw other stuff into the mix. ?
  5. Were loving Perry Mason on Sky Atlantic. Slow burner but very good
  6. I dont object to Archer playing, but the time to get experience is not necessarily in the first match of the series. I think we needed to win this one, and we may still do so. I would just have hated to be the one to tell Broad he wasnt playing.
  7. Phil Tufnell said hed have bowled first. Alastair Cook said overhead conditions make less difference at the Aegeas Bowl than at most grounds and you should look at the surface and hed have batted first. So who knows? Is the decision to leave Broad out going to come back to bite us? I'm not convinced Archer yet has the discipline and experience to be our second main strike bowler.
  8. Give me the holiday any day.
  9. Given the choice, I'd have waited till next year and hopefully gone on holiday then. Much less hassle.
  10. I hate eating meat on the bone because you have to pick at it to get it off. I'm a really fussy eater as you can probably tell.
  11. If I ever had to kill an animal myself I'd definitely be vegetarian. I dont eat much meat myself anyway. I like it but only in small amounts.
  12. It's one reason I wont eat duck! I dont eat lamb anyway because i dont like it and I dont eat veal because calves are cute.
  13. My German is nowhere near the standard of my French now. It used to be good when I was teaching it because I used it all the time. Now, when I go to Germany, my daughter and grandkids talk for us so I dont practise much. I can still do it when I have to but it's rare that I have to.
  14. I speak fairly good german too. Used to teach it
  15. But Spanish has genders, hasn't it?
  16. Nothing to do with gender of object. It's from the old Latin system of 5 declensions. It's just how the words were formed in the original Latin. Just make sure you learn the gender along with the word. I used to teach French (1976 to 2015) so I know a bit about it.
  17. 2 words actually if we're being pedantic.
  18. I dont know but he lives in Cart Mel
  19. Weve just booked ferry to France for late July. Fingers crossed.
  20. I got all of my 4 sleeping through from 10 till 6 most nights within a couple of months but before that theyd wake up every 2 hours. My grandson took nearly a year to start sleeping through and I dont think my youngest grandson ever sleeps for more than 4 hours at a time and hes nearly 3
  21. Yes. I'd advise 22 hours a day from now on. It's the last chance you'll get for some time.
  22. The bbc live feed says Blacckburn 0- Bristol city 1 at 17mins
  23. I did wonder Mike because you got married round about the same time as my son, and when I said they were expected a baby, the thought flitted through my brain. Huge congratulations and best wishes to you both.
  24. My dad didnt like her. Preferred Judy Garland.
  25. Yes we saw that earlier too. I would think the Assheton arms would be taken on by someone if pubs get to open soon, but perhaps not.
