  1. I went to the game in Munich, you had to have your wits about you, especially when trying to come to terms with the fact Emile Heskey looked world class 😂
  2. The Mexico manager at the last World Cup would have buried you in a hole in the desert, in fact what happened to him? I’ve not heard of him since 2015…
  3. Real passion when the South Americans belt out the national anthems, clearly means everything to players and fans.
  4. Just bought Richard Hawley tickets at the legendary Leadmill in Sheffield which is under threat of closure by its landlords with the 20yr lease about to expire. A great venue, with a tremendous history, fingers crossed it survives.
  5. And we don’t like them, corrupt bastards.
  6. They spent £1m in 1981 for Brian Robson, your dad was spot on.
  7. Wales deserved that, superb by the manager to change things at H/T. Hope the fans can find a beer or 3 after the game.
  8. Spot on, its nothing more than attention seeking.
  9. This. Nothing changes at Ewood until the owners sod off.
  10. Having been around here longer than most, one of them said some pretty disgusting things about the death of Jack Walker when he first arrived on the site. Buying him a drink? No ney never. Just for a bit of balance.
  11. Minis v Ferraris One team spent over £20m in the summer, one team spent just over £4m. You get what you pay for in this league and it showed again today.
  12. New manager, new ideas, new players and 2nd in the league. Road works are a nightmare on route home, but we keep the faith. Tremendous support as always.
  13. Best side is losing, some great movement and one touch stuff from Rovers, we’ll win this.
  14. 😄 You mentioned Mowbray not me, I talked about the owners lack of backing and JDT in January.
  15. Do you believe the club backed the manager sufficiently enough in January? The original point was if the owners had backed a promotion push in January, which would include bringing in at least 2 top class signings for fees, we'd have made the playoffs. The players you mention, like the players last summer, were brought in on a shoestring budget, loans and free transfers, no outlay, money kept in the chicken coup. If JDT gets the same bargain basement backing this January you can wave goodbye to any promotion push, this squad can't cope for a full season with its current setup and needs more quality to make those playoffs.
  16. Hull City manager: Ben Brereton and Sam Gallagher were both denied by Baxter after the break, and Dawson says they are “top players”. “I do have to give them credit because we came up against a really good team today, who created chances - the front two are top, top players.
  17. This post is in stark contrast to last season where the message was the manager and back room staff were appalling , time to get rid, even though we sat 2nd in the league on a great run… I agree with asking the owners to back the manager, if they’d done that last January we’d have made the playoffs, but nothing…… We are doing exceptionally well so far, JDT deserves plenty of credit, but a couple of injuries and we fall back into the pack, enjoy the run while we can.
  18. He’s been brilliant since he arrived and outstanding this season so far, a superb buy, a snip at £500k, spot on 47er.
  19. Great find that, not seen that before. You'll not see a softer penalty than that.
  20. Did you miss £120m+ they received from Premier League last season? or £120m+ they received the season before? That useless swine Weghorst couldn't have taken all that to Turkey with him surely.....
  21. burnley are the best side in this league with the best squad, I despise the bastards but you can't get away from that. Spending £22m on players this season alone means promotion should be guaranteed, they should win Championship at a canter. We lost 5/6 players from last season, but never had significant funds to replace them, don't fall for the bullshit above about trading.....Premiership money talks in this league and they've got pots of it. Minis vrs Ferraris
  22. Far be it for me to interject, but Brereton was widely tipped to be a top player and he's proven to be just that, the best striker in Championship, your point is ridiculous Blue blood with respect. Whilst Brereton was getting up to speed Armstrong, a £2m signing, was becoming a £20m striker too! You can beat up Mowbray for many things, but his buys for a transfer fee have been superb.
  23. Not wanting to get into an old debate, but he robbed the club/fans of seeing better players because he was in the pockets of agents and allegedly taking cuts from player sales, the player pool was reduced to feather his own nest. He was far from a top a manager for those reasons alone and got his comeuppance being fired from England and nationally humiliated.
