  1. 1-0 Ukraine, I can confirm Grant Hanley is still rubbish.
  2. Come on Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦
  3. Yes clearly a man of principle, takes a stand on racism whatever the cost. All credit to him, we need more like him, but I don’t want him anywhere near the club.
  4. But we can be 110% sure Carvalhal isn't coming here, our billionaire owners won't pay the going rate to bring in proper support staff to help the manager take the club forward. The penny should be dropping about now for you Rev, for many it dropped a decade ago.....
  5. The question is Matty, at this rate, will you be calling him back? πŸ˜‰
  6. I've just located dens live stream on YouTube, its certainly improved since last time I tuned in. Hope the weather stays fine for you matt.
  7. Why would a manager like Carlos Carvalhal come to a basket case of a club like ours? It has everything to do with Rovers, we have zero ambition, zero budget, absent owners and a 4th Division CEO. Whats not to like......
  8. Do you think Guardiola, Klopp, King Kenny, Hughes, Allardyce and the rest of them went through a two stage process? Find your man, sell the club to him, match his ambition, appoint him.....Less than a week, job done.
  9. Is that through a subscription den? Or free to air? The last match I saw on YouTube was absolute bobbins, one camera angle, no commentary, no replays, bleedin awful.
  10. With the 2 standout candidates having seen right through the charade presented to them, this once again has the stench of lack of ambition, mediocrity and more dumbing down. I'd question if either Carvalhal or Farke could get this club promoted, but purely from on a personal point of view I could support the new regime, hold my nose and buy season tickets, but that ship now seems to have sailed. So what are we left with? A bargain bucket, pound shop appointment and our season ticket money staying in the bank. Nobody is going to convince me this isn't orchestrated. Venkys Out
  11. If you’ve not found anything genuine to complain about over the past 11yrs you’ve probably been in a coma.
  12. Maybe its just me, suffering from football withdrawal symptoms, but why aren't we seeing more cricket on Tv from Sky or anyone else for that matter? On Monday, after a hard day slicing golf balls into the rough, I plonk myself in front of the TV to watch a T20 Blast game and the only live sport is Netball, I do the same tonight and nothing, with 4 T20 games going on across the country? Its the same with the longer forms of the game, why aren't we seeing more cricket on Tv? They'll show any football from non league, Irish league upwards? Rubbish.
  13. The comparisons to Mowbray are even more stark Ossy, cheer for that. If this lot manage to sign him up we'll see what transpires, he's a much better option than Hasselbaink and drunken Duncan thats for sure and someone I could support, which is half the battle.
  14. This is Norwich City we're talking about matt, a club awash with Premiership money, players on eye water contracts, quality players at that, I'd have got Norwich promoted to be honest. Has he worked with no budget and no players before?
  15. Test match against NZ starts at Lords on Thursday with thousands of tickets unsold, most of them over Β£100 each. As the champagne corks pop at 11am the ground will be well short of capacity for the start of this new era in English cricket. I was offered 2 tickets myself, Β£163 each, no thanks. Maybe Lords hasn't heard that we have a cost of living crisis......
  16. I don't think Farke record is an improvement on Mowbrays to be honest, but he is a better option than most of the dross being touted around. Appointing Carvalhal would have shown a club with serious intent, Farke shows a club with everything crossed he can pull rabbits out of hats and he's the cheaper option, should he sign. Same old sh1t, different managerial appointment, but I hope I'm wrong of course...
  17. @RevidgeBlue I'm not sure many bigger fish than Carvalhal are swimming in todays Blackburn Rovers pond. Here is a manger coming from Portuguese Premier league, Cup winners, Europa League last season and a side that played some great football. When push comes to shove, money talks, backroom staff wages and a transfer budget. Although nothing has been decided yet, this has a stench of cheap bastards to me, cheapest option incoming, watch this space.
  18. The media reported more Rangers fans followed the club to Spain than Liverpool fans travelled to Paris, very little trouble in Seville, the fans from both sides were praised for policing themselves, unlike in Paris. That assertion quite simply doesn't stand up here Paul.
  19. Its well documented I wasn't Allardyces number 1 fan πŸ˜ƒ But if the object is to get back into the Premiership, then peak Allardyce and Dyche would fit the bill toogs, in fact todays Allardyce would do over the likes of Ferguson, Grayson and Adkins.
  20. Posters need to keep in mind its essential the club bring someone in who can get this club promoted to Premiership. I believe that pool of managers, available to us, is extremely small and the vast majority of candidates I'm reading about on here don't fit that bill. The only person that fits the bill in my opinion is Sean Dyche - We can't afford him and I doubt he'd come here. Farke and Carvalhal maybe? Tough call.
  21. I find it very odd that you spend most days supporting 3 owners that couldn't give a fig about this about this football club. Owners that have destroyed Jack Walkers legacy, destroyed the reputation of this football club, destroyed businesses and lives of the people that live in this town. Nowt as strange as football fans eh πŸ˜‰ Anyway back to the managerial search, have we appointed Hasselbaink yet?
