  1. Abba are back, well sort of: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-58423452
  2. I read that his international manager confirmed the injury if that makes any difference. Would the club and Namibia be in collusion?
  3. Posters on this very site have been crying out for defenders for the past 4yrs+, finally Mowbray has addressed that issue and hopefully we are now well covered in that area with better quality that we've had for a while, time will tell of course. We sold Armstrong yes, we already have 2 £5m strikers of the books, its time for them to step up and be counted, so far they are doing. Even with 29 goals a season Armstrong we were a million miles away from the promotion places, the club is a mid-table, neglected and now skint, Championship club, we are in no hurry to find the next Armstrong, its been a decent window under the circumstances, mid table here we come. Venkys out - Nothing improves until they leave the club.
  4. I’d take anything right now to get rid of Venkys, our situation gets no better until they are gone. Hearts have recently been taken over fans, after bonkers owners tried to run the club into the ground, it’s the way we need to go, or we have no future. Good luck to Bury.
  5. John Park comes to the club with a decent CV, once he has his feet under the table let’s hope he can bring the same quality here now that Venkys have well and truly turned the tap off. After joining Celtic in 2007, Park helped bring players like Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama and Fraser Forster to the club. An astute scout and recruitment specialist, Park was also important to the signings of Ki Seung-Yeung and Moussa Dembélé.
  6. You'll know he took Cardiff up instead of us then darrenrover 👍 We need rid of these bonkers owners, until that happens nothing changes, we replace Mowbray and Waggot with much of the same, its been happening for 10yrs now. Venkys out.
  7. Who feeds athletes doughnuts for lunch? We could have had Warnock instead of that pillock. Badly advised?
  8. You knew he was leaving then I assume?
  9. If we had any sort of scouting network, any sort of footballing people supporting the manager and his threadbare staff, we’d be all over Deeney. Venkys, on a shoe string, are a disgrace, hiding being FFP like scared chickens on route to Nando’s. Badly advised?
  10. It’s now been confirmed he’s leaving Watford. Troy Deeney will eat up defenders in this league, probably ours if he goes to any of our rivals. Just the sort of rough tough no nonsense striker we need.
  11. That goal at Doncaster to gain promotion, the look on his face, the jubilation in the stands, club legend for me.
  12. Troy Deeney - Free agent - Go get him Tony.
  13. Surely not 1864. Are Venkys being badly advised again?
  14. Good, we don't what that idiot here.
  15. 300 pages pleading with the manager to bolster the defence, 100 pages to come asking why we are bolstering the defence. Nowt as strange as football fans. 😃
  16. What a superb strike from Gallagher, thats what the lads capable of, we need to see more of it, confidence is the key, oh yes and playing him in the right position Tony.
  17. Goodness me Rev.....they've hardly got their feet under the table are you're already taking swipes at them.... You said similar about Harvey Elliott when he arrived, yesterday he was running the European Champions ragged and was absolute quality from the day one at Ewood, as was Tosin. Venkys are refusing to allow the club to sign players on permanent deals, hiding behind FFP as usual, thats why the squad is depleted, the smallest squad I can recall in 40yrs+ so we are scraping around the loan markets to get deals done and its down to your mates in Pune. Badly advised?
  18. The experts on here say they’re a waste of money, so we can’t count them Jack can we…. 😀
  19. Plenty of us picked the score today, but how many had money on it? I would imagine Steve Gibson is scratching his head this evening after shelling out £10m in the summer and coming up with only 1 point against a depleted Blackburn Rovers side. A goal for Sam Gallagher, coupled with several for Diaz so far this season, who needs Armstrong? It’s been a tremendous start, better than anyone could have expected and long may it continue. Onwards and upwards.
  20. Could be over today this den, brilliant response to the last test defeat. Another one falls.
  21. Early wickets required England please 👍 I think we're carrying a couple of injuries in the bowling dept, so its not going to be easy today.
  22. @HowieFive0 has it spot on above, success on the pitch brings the fans out, not deals on tickets, its been that way since I started going many moons ago and it will always remain that way. As for todays game, I've been delighted with the start we've made to this season, much better than anyone anticipated. Boro have spent a few quid this summer, close to £10m I read somewhere, which is a significant outlay for a club in this division without Premiership money. 1-1 draw
  23. Ah the memories Paul…… Kenny loved the Tickled Trout for a deal or two.
