  1. From the darts live on sky
  2. You’ve been reading the local press and this site throughout the summer, the recruitment has been a disaster, targets going anywhere but Ewood, we ended up with players our fellow championship competitors didn’t want. All this culminating in one of the smallest squads in terms of senior pros I can ever remember and 3-4 of those could walk out shortly.
  3. Not a snowball chance in hell. Lambert had a plan, originally backed by the owners, to revamp the club from top to bottom, within a month of taking the job the owners stopped communicating with him after he wanted to put players on longer contracts and the rest is history. Something has changed this season though, we now can’t compete in the free transfer market, but contracts remain unsigned, no structure at the club, no football people at the club, it’s the same old crap and anyone with any business acumen knows you can’t run a successful business like this.
  4. Only getting rid of the owners will achieve that goal 1864.
  5. Don’t worry though Matty, we’re getting the commercial side right….. I can’t believe what I’m reading, seasoned posters coming out with this tripe.
  6. You’re making excuses again 1864, it’s inexcusable to allow our first team squad to run down contracts and not renew. Rothwell needs an improved contract, get it offered and signed, it’s simple. Armstrong is a different matter, the rest is incompetence, billionaire owners don’t forget? How about Nyambe and Lenihan? Brereton?
  7. The new strategy seems to be letting players walk out on free transfers? Rothwell potentially off to Rangers in the press today. Its amateurish, Waggot blaming Covid, I’m blaming billionaire owners, it’s embarrassing.
  8. @1864roverite If you’re looking for evidence, how about the way they’ve destroyed this once great football club, destroyed businesses, families and the town? Do you need more evidence than that 1864?
  9. Let’s just say, for arguments sake, that all this came true, that would make us a mid table functioning championship side with a massive debt in the background, as apposed to a dysfunctional mid to lower level championship side with a massive debt in the background, hardly groundbreaking when you put it into perspective. Nothing improves here until the owners sod off, you’re still backing the wrong horse.
  10. I’ll tell you what is criminal, the way they’ve destroyed this football club, businesses, families and the town. That’s not innuendo and I’ve plenty of evidence to back it up.
  11. Venkys ended up in the High Court over the Henning Berg saga, dodgy and found guilty. How many times have Blackburn Rovers found themselves in the high court over the years Rev? Or doesn’t that count?
  12. Unless they’re hiding something…
  13. Likes a property ‘deal’ too. Can you imagine 🤔
  14. No evidence of cutbacks? We have a threadbare squad that’s relying heavily on academy players and loans. We have a number of 1st team regulars not being offered anywhere near decent offers to stay. We have just sacked the European scout and we’ve lost coaches to the lower leagues, it’s a shambles. As for not knowing the end result? You’ve done a 360 degree turn on Venkys for some reason, but let me tell you, It’s been failure after failure 1864 - This doesn’t end in success, it’s doomed to fail, no doubt about that.
  15. A mate of mine sent me this a few weeks ago, Salgado was brilliant for us and was just discarded like chicken shit on the bottom of Balajis shoe, same with Nelson and many more. Dont tell me this lot will ever change, they’re hiding to much ‘dark magic’ to just walk away. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2307133/Michel-Salgado-blames-Venkys-Blackburn-Rovers-demise.html
  16. Absolutely spot on 47er, that’s often ignored in the wider debate.
  17. Despite your doomsday predictions, it’s clear that football clubs of our stature don’t go bust, although it’s not beyond the realms of possibility, but I’d take my chances at this stage. The owners need changing 1864, that’s the only way this club starts to heal, everything else is just a side show.
  18. How many football league clubs have folded never to return 1864? What makes you think the owners will take the debt with them?
  19. I’m not sure what’s happened to you recently 1864, you seem to have had a major epiphany in recent months… If Venkys crawled back under the rock in January we’d have a queue of suitors ready to take over, I know of 4 myself and we’d probably have more. This nonsense about Venkys keeping us afloat is just that, nonsense, they’re potentially lumping debt on to the club with every passing year and the longer this goes on the worse it becomes. Give me points deductions and non league football right now to get rid of them, we have a decent fan base, we’d come back. In a strange sort of way I believe it would galvanise the support and the town, much in the same way as the owners have destroyed businesses, families and divided the fan base. This football club will never move forward until Venkys sod off, it’s as simple as that.
  20. I've never seen that before, great find perth. Bit upset its about bloody United, Rovers would have sold more crackers!
  21. You've not got the greatest record when it comes to spotting a striker, 83 goals in 150 games Jordan Rhodes springs to mind. Gallagher has started the season well, 3 goals in the league so far I believe, he's doing ok in my book.
  22. 9-3 lordy lordy....... 9-4.......
  23. Spot on Exiled, I watched the fight again last night, some of the advice from his corner was bizarre too, but not relying on his size was criminal, he was never going to out box Usyk. I think AJ needs a complete rethink, get rid of Rob Mccracken and the team and start again from scratch. He's gunning for a rematch, I can only see one winner and its not the current version of AJ.
  24. @matt83 I received that on whatsapp last night, I was contemplating posting it, you never gave it a 2nd thought 😆
  25. I was unsure where to put this, but some of my faith in the club has been restored reading through Yasirs twitter feed. Yasir is the Integration and Business Development Manager at Ewood and is doing some brilliant work locally by the looks of things. https://twitter.com/yasirsufi?lang=en
