I think the naivety comes from the fact that after an abysmal end to the season, Mowbray is still in post. If the rumours back in April were true, said managers have been available all summer, yet we still have Mowbray at the helm? Even allowing for 1 shared brain cell in Pune, thats a stretch Mercer, regardless of whether or not you or anyone else believes Neil was approached earlier this year.

India are the number 1 test side in the world at the moment in my opinion and after 5 days of enthralling cricket they just came out on top. Some indifferent batting today, some superb bowling by the Indians, we move to Old Trafford to save the series. Test match cricket at its best for me, the lifeblood of the game, thoroughly enthralling from start to finish.

I hear Mastermind has a spare chair Ian ๐

A very good friend of mine, season ticket holder, spoke to him recently, incidentally it was at the same event where he spoke to Lambert after he'd resigned in 2016 and got the reason why he walked. I have no idea if we put the feelers out for a new manager in April, reading between the lines we never did, but we certainly never went near Neil, thats for sure.

He didn't turn us down, he was never approached and neither was his agent, straight from the horses mouth only last week. He was never approached earlier this year, it was BS.

Given ourselves to much to do chaddy I fear, but looking forward to it.

Holding the management to account

Why didn't they move? Why did Obafemi turn us down? Why did Reach (Not a striker I know) turn us down? Why are players refusing to sign contracts? We're offering 3 milk tokens and handful of magic beans over 3yrs, nobody will sign for that. The tap has been turned off chaddy and I'm sure Man City haven't gotten rid of the European scouting network because of brexit. Nobody understand why this lot bought the club, why this lot have run the club into the ground, so god knows why they gave Mowbray money for 2 strikers, trying to second guess them is a pastime I gave up years ago booth... -

They've always gambled on strikers and won mostly if taken in isolation, Armstrong alone paid for Gallagher and Ben Diaz, but they neglect every other part of running a football club. Why did every striking target go to another club in the last window? Why are we unable to offer contracts to player we want to keep? Why have we just sacked the European scout? Why did we try and sell half the training ground? Does it sound like a club with a few quid in the bank? I just hope it some sort of exit strategy and the Pune stooges are about to exit the club. -

Youโre quite right Hasta, but all the points still stand, regardless of who the manager is. -

I've long given over caring who the manager and CEO are, but I did have a particular dislike of Coyle who told porkies in his very 1st press conference about SEM and it never improved from the day on, that man was robbing a living. I don't think its any coincidence he's now managing in the Indian Super League either..... Coyle was appointed because he was cheap, cheaper than Warnock who won promotion with Cardiff the year after I think it was. Mowbray is here because he's cheap, Waggot is here because he's also cheap in football CEO terms, I know plenty of local CEO's on more money than he is, you pay peanuts you get monkeys. We signed no strikers in the window because we're skint and the owners want to do it on the cheap. Players are out of contract because we're skint and we want to do everything on the cheap. We have no European scout because we're skint, we want to do everything on the cheap, the ground looks neglected because we're skint, we want to do everything on the cheap. The club shop is closed a week before the season kicks off, full of new shirts, because we're skint and they want to everything on the cheap, I could go on...... Venkys out. -
They must be really disappointed with the start we've made, the team seems galvanised, pulling together, its not the part of the Venky plan clearly ๐ Venkys out.

We have tickets for the Saturday at Old Trafford, be good to get back to some live action, itโs been a while.

2 quick wickets with the new ball, plenty of time left. Come on England.

You keep the faith my friend, these bastards in Pune won't be around forever. Who would have thought in the dark days of 70's and 80's we'd be talking about playing in Europe regularly or winning the league title? Our time will come again, I just hope I'm around to see it. Enjoy your day.

First of all, let me make it clear that racism in any form is abhorrent and should be called out and the culprits dealt with, without question. Here comes the but....... ITV on Wednesday night were a disgrace in my opinion, they couldn't wait to report on acts of racism, even cutting to Gabriel Clarks at one point on his mobile phone sat with the home fans to tell us again that the fans were being racist. We know Hungary has a history of racism, we know the national side has had problems with racism, we don't need ITV spending the entire 2nd half banging on about it whilst England answered in the right manner by stuffing them. I hope they're sanctioned, again, and hit hard, but ITV you're a disgrace, I'll not be watching next time.

I'm in the @steelcityblue tomorrow: https://www.peddlerwarehouse.com/ Hoping to avoid the "75% of football goers and dopey clampits" ๐ -
Plenty of fight by England to get that lead chaddy, it would have been better at 150, but we'll take it. Far to many missed catches again, what Burns was doing is beyond me, poor cricket that. As for Butler, he doesn't deserve a spot in the side, should have been dropped before this test. Setup nicely for tomorrow, Mrs has booked us into a street food place at 2pm ๐

I agree with many of your posts 1864 but this isn't a Waggot thing at all. Shaw and Agnew attacked the fans very publicly, Singh embarrassed the club, the town and its fans, Waggot is just another example of poor recruitment, like the manager and agents that have pillaged the club over the past 10yrs. You replace Mowbray and Waggot, you get another Mowbray and another Waggot, we need the owners removing, everything else is a side show. -

We mustn't lose sight of where the real problems lie, that tells the story perfectly. Venkys out - Everything else is a side show. -

I read that his international manager confirmed the injury if that makes any difference. Would the club and Namibia be in collusion?

Posters on this very site have been crying out for defenders for the past 4yrs+, finally Mowbray has addressed that issue and hopefully we are now well covered in that area with better quality that we've had for a while, time will tell of course. We sold Armstrong yes, we already have 2 ยฃ5m strikers of the books, its time for them to step up and be counted, so far they are doing. Even with 29 goals a season Armstrong we were a million miles away from the promotion places, the club is a mid-table, neglected and now skint, Championship club, we are in no hurry to find the next Armstrong, its been a decent window under the circumstances, mid table here we come. Venkys out - Nothing improves until they leave the club.
-
Iโd take anything right now to get rid of Venkys, our situation gets no better until they are gone. Hearts have recently been taken over fans, after bonkers owners tried to run the club into the ground, itโs the way we need to go, or we have no future. Good luck to Bury.
