  1. Venkys never will Simon (Agnew, Shaw, Singh, Waggot, Kean, Appleton, Berg, Bowyer, Lambert, Coyle and Mowbray) You've always been a staunch supporter of the Venky regime, I don't know anyone else that falls into that category, your loyalty has been unwavering. Why is that?
  2. Can anybody name one thing that has improved under Venkys tenure? They appoint these people (Shaw, Agnew, Singh and Waggot)?
  3. Neil joined Norwich in January 2015, they'd been relegated the season before having spent 3 years in the top flight, they were flush with Premiership money and had good players on big wages. They went up through the playoffs in May 15 and came straight back down again. Thats his only achievement to date, hardly spectacular really when you put it into context. The first time he had to manage with limited resources he failed at Preston, why would he flourish here? Don't get me wrong tomphil, I understand the sentiment, I agree with you in the main, but if anyone is going to push this club forward it needs to be someone with a proven track record, or someone leftfield, not a manager like Neil who has just failed miserably 10 miles down the road.
  4. Forest only had one target and they got him - Steve Cooper.
  5. The only thing that fits perfectly well with my opinion and views is we need to get rid of the owners, you'll catch on one day Rev. Wilder is a manager that gets the blood going, but he's way beyond the abilities of Waggot and Venkys, I'd be surprised if they even know he's on the market we're that far dumbed down these days. As for Neill, he's just been sacked from Preston.......I'll let that settle in for a minute, Preston........Abject failure in anyone's book, is that actually the height of your ambition Rev?
  6. The managerial bar is lower than I can ever remember it, all this talk of Neill and Hughton - Both abject failures whilst working under similar circumstances as Mowbray, why on earth would we want either of those 2 here? I get the Wilder links, but I fear he's beyond on means, but these 2? doesn't make sense, you're replacing one failure with another.
  7. Hampshire are 64-4 at lunch in the country championship at Liverpool. Now 75-6
  8. Lets face it, the place needed a makeover in all departments! Hopefully the new management will be able to attract trade outside of football days to make the place profitable. I wish them well.
  9. Ooooo I do like to be beside the seaside, oooooo I do like to be beside the sea...... Fantastic away support.
  10. With the greatest of respect, chaddy wasn’t the originator of this discussion, he’s clearly new to IPtv and was asking a perfectly valid question. You’ve jumped all over him, which is poor J*B to be frank, he was only asking a question.
  11. The writing by John Sullivan was just tremendous CB, sadly another one no longer with us.
  12. John Challis has died, he played Boycie in Only Fools and Horses, one the best British comedy’s ever. RIP
  13. Never saw him play myself, can you compare him to any of our strikers over the past 30yrs Jim?
  14. To be fair SG, I’ve been to Anfield, City and Everton under Allardyce with less than half the number that went to Oakwell yesterday. That’s a good following and I salute everyone who went.
  15. Was he as good as people say @47er Condolences to his family.
  16. We discussed this yesterday islander, Mowbray hasn't had a decent transfer budget since 2019, counting wages for fringe players shows just how far this club has fallen! Blackpool (I think), Bristol City, Coventry, Boro, Forest, PNE, QPR, Stoke and Swansea have all out spent us this summer - Mid table is clearly our level, regardless of who the manager is.
  17. Bristol Rovers v Blackburn 1981 - Yes that game when Preston ****** it up!
  18. Love that picture Howie. I remember going during the unbeaten run late 80's? we filled that away end and down the side upto the Rovers dugout. We also filled the away end under Kenny - Duncan Shearer scored I seem to remember. That end always seemed bigger back then than it looks in that picture, anyone know how many it held? Not the greatest quality, Barnsley v Rovers NY day 1985
  19. Hope you're well my friend 👍 We tried to sign Adam Reach, he went to West Brom We tried to sign Michael Obafemi, he went to Swansea We were priced out of numerous deals, you don't get much these days for a handful of magic beans, 2 milk tokens and £10 voucher for The Hake Boat.
  20. We signed nobody of note last summer either, or in January 2020 Islander? Who did we sign that would challenge the likes of Norwich, Watford or Brentford? That’s the level we need to reach, regardless of who the manager is?
  21. You're original point was Mowbray has had a decent budget to spend, I said he hasn't since 2019, you don't get promoted from this league without buying decent players. What you actually mean is he's been able to pay wages, well who hasn't? But those wages are poor and the reason why we signed nobody in the summer of note. We are a mid table championship side, have the budget of a mid table championship side and will end up mid table. Venkys Out.
  22. So I assume the answer is Mowbray has spent nothing? The last time we spent decent money was 2019, 2yrs ago, we've spent bugger all since. Who are these clubs you talk about Islander? How are these clubs doing better than we are? Please don't think I'm having a go at you, thats not my intention, I'm just trying to understand why you think he's been backed every summer he's been here?
  23. How much did he spend in January 21 transfer window? How much did he spend last summer 20? How much in January 2020 transfer window?
  24. In the real world fans understand Venkys have destroyed the club and will continue to do so, Mowbray is trying his best against a backdrop of incompetence, bad advice and no budget. 1600 away at Barnsley with no chance of promotion is a superb effort, I salute everyone of us. Venkys Out.
