I remember my dad telling me he took a big bottle of champagne to one game at the baseball ground, thousands of Rovers fans went. We lost, the champagne never got drunk, I'm certainly not an old chip off the block because I'd have demolished it before we got past Crewe! 1977 FA Cup seems a bit late to be sneaking bottles of champagne into the ground, but it looks like the only option.

We also played Hull City that season, but I don't remember it being built in a bowl.

Brilliant. We did the same late 80's, drew at Ewood took it back to Villa Park, Andy Kennedy scored for us but lost eventually, thousands missed the goal due to traffic on M6. Captain Hindsight here..... I don't want to move either player on, Brereton is a player, I can see that, Gallagher is being kept out by the Championships top scorer, its good to have options.
