And that’s just my point. An ambitious man prices the target at 20,000 ST holders at an affordable price. Waggott’s target is to take advantage of the 8,000 die hards that will pay whatever price because they can’t imagine a world where they don’t watch Rovers at Ewood.

All comes down to income and that’s Waggott’s department, not Broughtons. Not enough home fans because the pricing is unaffordable. Not enough being earned outside the ground because the ‘fanzone’ offering is terrible. Not enough being earned at the club shop because there’s no stock. Not enough being earned in the corporate offering because nobody wants to bring clients to a shoddy operation and a stadium in dire need of a refurb. Marketing department don’t have the budget to do anything of worth - no links to Bilbao, no links to The English Game, not taken advantage of Brereton-Diaz mania. There’s not a single bit of this club the town can be excited about. No income from player sales because Waggott put all expenditure, including player contracts, on hold during COVID… so they’re now all leaving for free. We have a CEO who judges success on ‘did I have to ask the owners for anymore money than I said I would need’ rather than on field and local success. He’s not bothered as long as he can tick the box. No risk, no ambition, no outside the box thinking. JDT isn’t the problem. The players aren’t the problem. Broughton isn’t the problem. Waggott OUT should be sung from the Blackburn End but somehow they’ve managed to alienate the fan base that are willing to rock the boat and convince those that remain this is normal. When’s the next supporters consultation? I’m very close to assembling a team of people that can’t bear that man’s shit anymore.

I wouldn’t take Geldhart simply because Leeds forced us to pay 20K / week towards that bum right winger they gave us last season despite him being injured and rehabbing at Leeds. They’ve got a high esteem issue over at Leeds, I’d much rather work with Brighton.

I’ve sort of put all my eggs in one basket. I don’t rate Waggott - at all. I don’t think he has the best interests of the club at heart and think he’s more interested in ticking boxes than ambition. So I’ve long called for change, especially on the footballing side so I was happy when Broughton was brought in. I didn’t rate Mowbray. I thought he was an eternal loser, that was stuck in his own ways, consistently unhappy and blamed others for his own errors. So I was happy to see him leave - about 3 years too late in my opinion. Gregg Broughton has at least has been consistent about ‘the project’ and whilst it’s different, at least he clearly has a plan and props to him for sticking to it. His messaging hasn’t ever changed. Broughton has signed his own manager, JDT, who clearly is aligned to ‘the project’ and has his own thoughts of how we should play football. JDT has had more success than any of our previous managers both as a player and a manager, he’s forgotten more about football than I’ll ever know. So if I start mobbing against GB and JDT now, I’m a hypocrite! They are - in principle - exactly what I’ve asked for. So I’ll judge them after a few years if that’s the benchmark they’re being judged against. Unlike many on here I don’t think this squad is anywhere near the level required. When the first 11 are all on form they’re a decent side, but as soon as a couple are injured or out of form we’re a lower mid table team.

They only adapt if they think they need immediate success. Said it before, I’ll say it again… I’m convinced this season is an entire write off, the only aim is GB and JDT work out who they want to get rid of.

Should probably do this privately - but is there a way in which the website deletes the video content after say 10 days? Setting up a YouTube account, uploading and linking would be very annoying if I had to keep doing that.

Last I heard there was a bit of confusion/chaos because the goalkeeper deal was on the basis of Pears going to Pompy on loan. Pompy have signed another keeper today who they were originally told wasn’t going to be sent out on loan (so moved for Pears), then suddenly yesterday was allowed to go on loan. Source is the local Portsmouth Sports Writer on Twitter. I’d hope finding a new home for Pears won’t be a stumbling block and they can find another club to pay his wages.

Heard tonight Rovers think Undav, Porteous and Haikan are all agreed and they’re ‘trying to get another’.

By the same mandate if we can sign a player of higher quality for cheap because he’s got 6 months left, we should sign him and sell our potential. Portrous, Hyam, Wharton and Phillips can stay. Carter can go to Pompy for a fee and Barnes can go out on loan to develop. Although I think they’re signing Portrous to play defensive midfield.

Haven’t you considered his xG and xD and xA? What about his completed passes or his high speed possession retention numbers?

Not really, only the same rumours and articles every one else with Twitter has seen. But it would make sense, he would replace Hirst well. I think we will loan him and sign another from Europe. Probably from a relatively big club in a smaller league: Belgium, Holland, Turkey. Something like that.
