  1. If there’s one shining light out of that lot being far and away the best team in the league with an exciting team and manager, it’s knowing their kryptonite is saying they bought the league after years of peppering us over it. Still, at least we bought the big league.
  2. It will be tight - either ask an 1875 member to buy one on your behalf or ring the ticket office explaining and hope they show mercy.
  3. Depends on the wage, he must be better than some of the dross we’ve got on our books.
  4. Sorry it wasn’t the one you wanted, stock issues etc etc
  5. Plenty of thoughts, thanks for asking. 1) Don’t worry about our playoff chances, we’ve been here before, we know what happens next and it doesn’t involve Wembley. 2) There’s absolutely no chance of us drawing six games. We’re win or lose. 3) You’ve bought the league. Have a lovely evening.
  6. I’m guessing you’ve all got your competition winning mugs - you got the first three in the box, not sure who’s got what. If you haven’t, shout up.
  7. John McGinn is the one that gets me.
  8. Here's 12 years ago today on SSN...
  9. They all said Coyle was shit, often in front of his son at 6-a-side…!
  10. If it makes you feel any better, the general consensus from people I speak to at Brockhall (physios, academy coaches, players) is that he’s brilliant and far more advanced/involved than anyone else we’ve had in recent memory. He’s identifying areas we are weak and has solutions that players and staff understand. He’s involving the senior players in decision making. He’s taking a significant role within the U23s and Academy, turning up unexpectedly to see what is happening and has put together a clear vision for the team to work from. He’s working in detail with the grounds team about how he wants the pitches for training and match day. He’s working with the physio team so that their role is more than just ‘how quickly can we get X back?’. Basically, he’s very well respected and has generally made a good impression. I understand all criticism RE the way we are playing, the derby results, signings that haven't all hit etc. But based on what I’ve heard, there’s plenty of positives.
  11. Pears Carter Phillips Wharton Travis Garrett Buckley Wharton Edun Markanday Vale We won’t win the cup and have bigger priorities. I know some won’t like that, especially those travelling, but there’s players needing games and some that we can’t risk.
  12. Can you send us the link to the form?
  13. I posted this at the time and was shot down big time. Travis especially was not happy one bit with his behaviour.
  14. There’s no chance Everton give us 9M plus Simms… even Simms on loan… even 9M! That smells of bullshit to me. I guess we will see on point 2, if that’s true they should be signed, unveiled and training within 72 hours. On point 1 I think signing Scandinavian players is likely, I believe their season is over (and players are out of contract)?
  15. I’d rather we signed a very good finisher. Someone who finishes more than they miss. Jordan Rhodes 2.0. The Sunderland one (Stewart) would be an ideal but I can’t see that for the life of me… so use the data and the scouting team to find the next best thing.
  16. Not really - he can’t get into the Olympiacos team, can’t get into the Forest team and can only play for Blackpool under the “can’t play for more than two clubs in a season” rule.
  17. Think Gally does enough/is good enough to play a role as a striker for us. If I was in charge it would be an alternative/something different I would be buying. Feels like we only really have Dolan and Dack that offers something different.
  18. Very bloody uncomfortable, that.
  19. Random market research: can anyone that wants to help please DM me a list of Rovers transfer sources they look out for during the transfer window? I’m thinking Peter O’Rourke, Elliott Jackson, Rich Sharpe, Alan Nixon… is there anyone else people look out for (and/or believe)?
  20. Here’s hoping, that would be a Christmas miracle.
  21. Ground out a gritty 1-0 win on a dreadful pitch to stop a losing run. It wasn’t classy but it did the job.
  22. EDUN?! I’d hoped we’d never see him again, that’s a huge disappointment.
  23. Yep, playing counter football.
  24. Not on this pitch. We need players that can win long balls and press.
