  1. VAR is down to the VAR match official interpretation and that's why they get it wrong some of the time. Unlike Cricket where it is 99% accurate and it is either yes or No answer. Football isn't Plus VAR takes far too long often and zero communication with fans in the stadium about the decision and how it been reach.
  2. I'm going on Stadium tour with my dad in May This is we needed a forward thinking CEO with commercial background who can grow the fanbase through a sensible and logical pricing policy, increase commercial sponsors around the club especially in the Stadium, improve the match day attendance and atmosphere, etc.
  3. Also having proper pricing structures to get fans who don't a season ticket for various reasons into Ewood Park more regular and grow the fanbase. Also having a CEO and board of directors who understand the local fanbase and the local economic situation for working people in the area. Having a good commercial director or manager who help the situation. I have suggested in the past a sensible pricing for STH and match day prices focusing on filling Ewood Park and growing the fanbase
  4. Exactly why VAR doesn't get everything right. I would have never bought it in cos it doesn't get 100% right and left it to the ref on the field and bringing in more ex footballers who don't make it at professional level as match officials cos at least they will understand the game much better
  5. I like JRC in centre midfield cos he can get box to box and gives us a goal threat from the centre midfield role
  6. The reasons why Travis left was explained by JDT and back up by GB. I don't think Travis would have left if Eustace was manage at the time
  7. That's is why I said Southampton cos I think they will beat both Leicester and Ipswich. They have so many quality attacking players is also another reason why I am backing Southampton to finish top along with Leeds.
  8. He should have gone after the deadline day Fiasco I wonder whether Sarah Logan who is our deputy club secretary will replace him or will we look external like with did with Mike Cheston's replacement
  9. Szmodics wasn't in front of the keeper so that's didn't impact their keeper who wasn't getting to it in my opinion. My opinion is backed up by many people on here aswell as Sky Sports studio pundits Troy Deeney and Nigel Pearson
  10. Southampton still have to played the top 3 yet and I still back my opinion
  11. If memory serves me correct the Cardiff player was right in front of Wahlstedt. Szmodics wasn't directly in front of their keeper
  12. Pears Brittain Hyam Wharton Pickering Tronstad JRC Hedges Szmodics Dolan Gallagher
  13. I said months ago that Southampton had the best squad in the league and they would get top 2.
  14. Fans at Ewood park want to get behind the players and the head coach during the game. The chants against Venkys and Waggott are spontaneous. Getting the game stopped or abandoned only affect the fans, the players and the club in the long term like a fine or points deduction meaning affect our league position. Yes I want new owners with new board of directions Rubbish. Not one Ipswich player appealed for it and he wasn't in the line of sight of the keeper. It was appalling decision by appalling ref. PL quality We aren't trying play a Big Sam type game at all. What has led you to this opinion please? exactly. The referee performance was appalling and it is the worst I have seen at Ewood Park in years. Will anything happen to Atwell for his poor performance? It won't. The PGMOL, the EFL and the Howard Webb will just ignore the fact that refereeing standards in English football are going backwards and declining. People will say its time for VAR at this level but that system doesn't mean the right decision will be made.
  15. We were the better team and we deserved more than we got
  16. Well that's my opinion based on watching the championship this season and Southampton have 2 games in hand btw also
  17. Well if's that's opinion but I think he will sign a new contract here after the season ends
  18. I assigned 8m for the running cost for the season didn't I?
  19. We deserved much more than we got today. 2 good goals not given. Clueless ref(discussed more shortly), we played very well second half and the players gave everything on the pitch. Proud of the Players tonight. Thought Hyam and Wharton stop Moore influence the game and Pickering did very well after picking up an early yellow card. Hedges did well aswell as Dolan. Thought Ayari had a positive impact when he came on. Pears were at fault for the Ipswich's goal. Clear mistake by him. We had 2 good goals not given tonight. Szmodics isn't in the Keeper line of sight as the replays show and the decisions by Atwell and his linesman. The Watford players don't appeal for it either. As Sky Sports studio guests Nigel Pearson and Troy Deeney said at half time it was the wrong time. On Wharton foul on the keeper, the decision is wrong and Atwell yet again doesn't blown the whistle until the ball goes into the net from Moran. So why the delay? Atwell's performance tonight was embarrassing and pathetic. So many bad decisions made by him during the game. The standard of refereeing in this country is declining badly. Howard Webb, the PGMOL, The EFL and The FA do nothing to improve the standard of refereeing and Webb goes on TV and just pointless excuses for this pathetic and unprofessional set of match officials. Dermot Gallagher does the same every week on Sky Sports news on Monday. rant over now and lets go to Sunderland and win
  20. Its just example of how the scenario that GB said during his interview should work/could work
  21. of course it can be and I will give you a working scenario We brought in money from Wharton sale and Raya sell on clause so lets say it is £25m for this scenario. You can spend £7m for the summer transfer budget, add £2m to the wage budget for next season and the season after. So that's £11m then spend 3m on improve the club academy facilities and first team facilities. then save £3m for next January window. So that's, £17m spent whilst reducing the season debt by £8m no. It was another deal that didn't happen This is why CEO along with Director of Football should be allow to make the decision as long as the deal is with the budget and finances of the club. If the owners don't trust the current CEO to make that decision and change the CEO and get someone in you trust to make the decisions. Plenty of good CEO with football and commercial background out there they could appoint where they could improve and grow the commercial operations here at Rovers
  22. It is very fair point from Eustace and others have said Rovers haven't had much time on the training pitch. A day or 2 a week isn't ideal for a new head coach to bring his ideas in bollocks it is. Rovers will be up for this. We need to be defensively solid.
  23. we have offered him a new contract
  24. Leicester are struggling now and I thought Bristol City played very well. They have no plan B. I think it will Leeds and Southampton for the top 2 going up at end of the season.
