  1. Szmodics wasn't in front of the keeper so that's didn't impact their keeper who wasn't getting to it in my opinion. My opinion is backed up by many people on here aswell as Sky Sports studio pundits Troy Deeney and Nigel Pearson
  2. Southampton still have to played the top 3 yet and I still back my opinion
  3. If memory serves me correct the Cardiff player was right in front of Wahlstedt. Szmodics wasn't directly in front of their keeper
  4. Pears Brittain Hyam Wharton Pickering Tronstad JRC Hedges Szmodics Dolan Gallagher
  5. I said months ago that Southampton had the best squad in the league and they would get top 2.
  6. Fans at Ewood park want to get behind the players and the head coach during the game. The chants against Venkys and Waggott are spontaneous. Getting the game stopped or abandoned only affect the fans, the players and the club in the long term like a fine or points deduction meaning affect our league position. Yes I want new owners with new board of directions Rubbish. Not one Ipswich player appealed for it and he wasn't in the line of sight of the keeper. It was appalling decision by appalling ref. PL quality We aren't trying play a Big Sam type game at all. What has led you to this opinion please? exactly. The referee performance was appalling and it is the worst I have seen at Ewood Park in years. Will anything happen to Atwell for his poor performance? It won't. The PGMOL, the EFL and the Howard Webb will just ignore the fact that refereeing standards in English football are going backwards and declining. People will say its time for VAR at this level but that system doesn't mean the right decision will be made.
  7. We were the better team and we deserved more than we got
  8. Well that's my opinion based on watching the championship this season and Southampton have 2 games in hand btw also
  9. Well if's that's opinion but I think he will sign a new contract here after the season ends
  10. I assigned 8m for the running cost for the season didn't I?
  11. We deserved much more than we got today. 2 good goals not given. Clueless ref(discussed more shortly), we played very well second half and the players gave everything on the pitch. Proud of the Players tonight. Thought Hyam and Wharton stop Moore influence the game and Pickering did very well after picking up an early yellow card. Hedges did well aswell as Dolan. Thought Ayari had a positive impact when he came on. Pears were at fault for the Ipswich's goal. Clear mistake by him. We had 2 good goals not given tonight. Szmodics isn't in the Keeper line of sight as the replays show and the decisions by Atwell and his linesman. The Watford players don't appeal for it either. As Sky Sports studio guests Nigel Pearson and Troy Deeney said at half time it was the wrong time. On Wharton foul on the keeper, the decision is wrong and Atwell yet again doesn't blown the whistle until the ball goes into the net from Moran. So why the delay? Atwell's performance tonight was embarrassing and pathetic. So many bad decisions made by him during the game. The standard of refereeing in this country is declining badly. Howard Webb, the PGMOL, The EFL and The FA do nothing to improve the standard of refereeing and Webb goes on TV and just pointless excuses for this pathetic and unprofessional set of match officials. Dermot Gallagher does the same every week on Sky Sports news on Monday. rant over now and lets go to Sunderland and win
  12. Its just example of how the scenario that GB said during his interview should work/could work
  13. of course it can be and I will give you a working scenario We brought in money from Wharton sale and Raya sell on clause so lets say it is £25m for this scenario. You can spend £7m for the summer transfer budget, add £2m to the wage budget for next season and the season after. So that's £11m then spend 3m on improve the club academy facilities and first team facilities. then save £3m for next January window. So that's, £17m spent whilst reducing the season debt by £8m no. It was another deal that didn't happen This is why CEO along with Director of Football should be allow to make the decision as long as the deal is with the budget and finances of the club. If the owners don't trust the current CEO to make that decision and change the CEO and get someone in you trust to make the decisions. Plenty of good CEO with football and commercial background out there they could appoint where they could improve and grow the commercial operations here at Rovers
  14. It is very fair point from Eustace and others have said Rovers haven't had much time on the training pitch. A day or 2 a week isn't ideal for a new head coach to bring his ideas in bollocks it is. Rovers will be up for this. We need to be defensively solid.
  15. we have offered him a new contract
  16. Leicester are struggling now and I thought Bristol City played very well. They have no plan B. I think it will Leeds and Southampton for the top 2 going up at end of the season.
  17. not listened to that interview yet
  18. The players were happy last season otherwise would we finish 7th last season? We were 7th in December but then the wheels came off and we were in free fall. Maybe some players wanted a change of tactics or how set plays were done or some tweaks to the playing style. I still want us to play good attacking football whilst being good defensively and score goals from set pieces. We didn't need to be so open in play looking back or don't play inverted full backs or play out from the keeper as we discussed earlier
  19. Matt Wright from Huddersfield Town has replaced immediately. Whether he is a director we will see whether he is list has a director of Rovers on companies house website
  20. I have listened to GB's interview with Elliott Jackson and I really enjoyed listened to him. He answered the questions and he has a plan how he would like to move the club forward playing squad wise and transfer wise. I agree with GB plans how to use the Wharton's money into 4 parts and it is a sensible plan and hopefully the board will listened to him. Given he is in charge of the footballing side he should be listened to. Will he? we will see. it is clear who was at fault for the 3 failed deadline day transfer signings and it isn't GB. It is people above him and as I have stated previously who I would have sack over this I will listened to the Andy Bayes one tonight on my way to work
  21. I found Scott Wharton interesting about JDT's man management style, playing style and him being dropped for the Burnley game. Scott is still feeling gutted about being dropped by JDT for the Burnley game which JDT did ballsed up. Scott Wharton wasn't at his best form last season but was that not down to being a bit part player and lack of game time. Which is fair comment but JDT did over achieved and players seem to enjoyed playing under JDT. Catch 22 situation here.
  22. Looking forward to this game and I can't wait for the game. I think it will tough game but given that the players have been in for training for most of the international break, I think it would have helped the players and Eustace get some training in on tactics, set pieces and more understanding what Eustace wants from them. I would stick with my starting 11 team selection I've posted on page 1, and I stick with my prediction of 2-1 Rovers win. Come on Rovers get those 3 points 🔵⚪
  23. Abbey, no point you coming on this thread if you aren't going to discuss the interview and what he said. Anyway Abbey, enjoy the day.
  24. Abbey, if you actually listened to properly, you would know that the interviewer gave the reason for the interview. Did you not hear that? Secondly, I have not mentioned Venkys in my post specifically. What I mentioned was what GB said in the interview and what we learnt new from the interview, Thirdly, I repeated my original point that 2 people should have been sack for the McGuire transfer failure and GB is not one of those people just to make it clear and simple for people.
