v Cardiff City (h) - 21/10/2023

Good win, performance not great but all that matters is 3 points today. Its was tight game with limited action at either end. Cardiff set up very organised and structure well defensively. We created the best 2 chances of the game and JRC had both chances scored 1. He suits his midfield role totally. Tronstad best player for me. protects the back four, tackle and pass plus keep it simple . Wahlstedt made a great save second half. Our tempo was too slow today which was disappointed but its 2 wins and 2 clean sheets back to back. Would be delighted with another 2 wins this week but would be happy with 4 points JDT;s Blue and White Army 🔵⚪ -
I didn't get the timing of the decision but he did a good job there. The club never recovered from their last day loss to us last season Rowett had 4 years to build something and was backed last summer aswell

I don't watch every 50 overs game so couldn't comment on winning performances.

Averaging 33 at 50 over cricket with England..that's batting at 6 or 7.

England World cup squad for me is unbalanced with 6 pace bowlers and only 1 main spinner in the squad. We should have only taken 4 pace bowlers and at least 2 frontline spinners. my world cup squad would have been, Bairstow, Brook, Malan, Root, Stokes, Buttler, Livingstone, Ali, Jacks, Rashid, Dawson, Curran, Willey, Wood, Carse

Basically its a deep layer playmaker/defensive midfielder with 2 box to box midfielders. Wahlstedt Hill Carter Hyam Brittain Tronstad Szmodics Wharton Moran Sigurdsson Leonard When we are defending we are 4-1-4-1 and when we are attacking we are 3-2-4-1 with Brittain moving in centre midfield with Tronstad. -
no head coach or manager is force to copy Pep or the Cruyff way. They can each select to play their own way and play to the strengths of the players they have. Luton have shown this.

Did Everton even bid for him???
-
agree there They should have had India as the first game vs Australia instead

Also worth noticing that last summer we appointed a new DoF and head coach plus no recruitment so to sell him would have been crazy decision. Also no club came close to our asking price for BBD and we only received 3 offers. Nice and Sevilla for £8.4m and Fulham offer of £6m plus £4m in add ons. Should we have sold for those amounts? GB tried several times to get BBD and his agent to agree a new contract here. BBD didn't want to sign a new contract.

Birmingham owners are close to Rooney like Tom Brady. It is Rumoured that Ashley Cole and John O'Shea Will join Rooney at Birmingham as part of his coaching staff. I thought John Eustace was doing a very good job there and shouldn't have been sacked there.

The stadium hold 135,000 fans so you were never going to fill that stadium. The cricket organisers said they were 45k tickets sold

I agree. One of my favourite players of all time for Rovers! I don't understand the QPR transfer strategy under QPR. They don't have much quality in that team and I do wonder why Dykes is playing the main 9 striker. If QPR was to sack Ainsworth who would they turn to that would improve them when the squad can't be add to for over 2 months -

The best way to be whether we win or lose, stay grounded and calm. How did Tronstad play yesterday? why don't you give him a chance first? he has been here less than 6 weeks, just let him settle him, find a house, understand what JDT wants and how he wants us to play. exactly, People are far too judgemental on our signings. Time to judge him is at the end of the season -

He has been at fault for a couple of goals but Yesterday he made 2 or 3 very good saves. -
Sheffield Wednesday set to appoint 34 year old Danny Rohl. He was number 2 at Bayern and Southampton https://x.com/domhowson/status/1710727162708337008?s=20

well done to all the 1,300 Rovers fans who travelled there today. Not a cheap day out for the fans but they got a win and performance But they didn't. They were poor and we scored 4 when it should have been 6 or 7. -
I wonder if QPR will sack Ainsworth and look to appoint a new manager there? shocking to be honest. No patience from them. If Lowe gets them in playoffs then he has over achieved there
