  1. I think its a good squad overall and one I want to see under our new Captain Ben Stokes and new red ball coach Brendan McCullum. Looks like Ollie Pope will bat 3 and Harry Brook will; bat 5 whilst as Ben Stokes confirmed last week he will bat 6 and Joe Root at 4. Zak Crawley I expect will be appoint Vice Captain he is someone I think will score alot of runs this summer for us. Its seems a choice between Jonny Bairstow and Ben Foakes for the wicket keeper position. Disappointed that Josh Bohannon hasn't been selected by England. Not seen Mathew Potts play so can't comment on his ability. Nothing need to be said on James Anderson and Stuart Board cos they are still our best 2 bowlers and Ben Stokes wants them in the test squad.
  2. Please can anyone with any info please keep posting it. Its good to read. Farke and Carvalhal are the 2 outstanding candidates and upgrade on Mowbray for sure. We need to make this head coach appointment before the end of May. I think Sporting Director role will be filled this week. Just my opinion based on no inside knowledge
  3. I would show Ayala the door. I expect between 6 to 8 signings this season.
  4. 2 big announcements made this morning by Rob Key. Firstly, the test squad for the first test of the summer Very disappointed that Josh Bohannon and Matt Parkinson aren't in the test squad Second announcement we have a new white ball coach
  5. Carvalhal would be very good appointment for us. Sounds just like the type of head coach we need tbh. Here is some more background on him
  6. Excellent news. He would be very good appointment as Head coach here. Knows the Championship. He wasn't in charge of signings at Sheffield Wednesday. I wonder who Benni McCarthy would have on his staff here if he got the job.
  7. His wages are out of our League. Supposedly Mowbray want to sign before but his wages are beyond our wage budget Would be decent winger for us..
  8. very disappointing news that Mahmood is out for the season with back stress fracture https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1128853173?-17432:2722
  9. Well isn't the Rooney rule? According to this article, QPR have interviewed Liam Manning, James Rowberry, Tim Sherwood and Sol Campbell. Ex-Arsenal, Tottenham and England defender Sol Campbell a leading contender to become QPR's new manager (talksport.com)
  10. I think alot of Everton problems is the owner and no clear plan. He has spend well over 500 million pounds in transfer fees plus wages for them. Alot of poor signings in that lot. Hopefully Everton will stay up and Burnley will come down. Lampard in the summer will restructure that playing squad. Branthwaite only played due to players like Ben Godfrey, Michael Keane and Mina not available.
  11. Look like Roy Key will appoint Australia women's coach Matthew Mott as the next white ball coach according to the Daily Telegraph reporting that the Queenslander is in advanced negotiations after impressing Key's interview panel. Key has also been taking a lead role chairing the selection process for the first home international of the year on June 2. The former Kent skipper does not intend to hold on to that responsibility in the long term, and is considering returning to a national selector, but has been working closely with Stokes on the initial squad. James Anderson and Stuart Broad are both certain to return following their omission from the series defeat in the West Indies, Joe Root's last as captain, but the vastly experienced pair could be joined by fresh faces in the form of uncapped trio Harry Brook, Matt Parkinson and Matthew Potts. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1128841123?-17432:2722
  12. well considering its been over 5 years since we needed to make a managerial appointment I think we shouldn't assume too much
  13. exactly. Cooper did a very good job at Swansea and same Forest were I think he will take them to promotion I read yesterday that Grayson is off to a club in India or AFC Wimbledon I don't where else Farke or Carvalhal will go in England. I still expect an head coach appointment before the end of May I have read they want MK Dons head coach Liam Manning at QPR
  14. Cooper changed formation and training methods straight away from Hughton. The football under Hughton to Cooper is like chalk and cheese. The fans didn't want Hughton anymore and the fans make their feelings know pretty quick this season. I read last week Hughton was staying the Ghana team for the World Cup so I don't see him coming here,
  15. I see the head coach role here better suits to foreign head coach who is used to working in such a structure with Sporting Director would be better for us. So I would be looking at people like Daniel Farke, Carlos Carvalhal, Xisco Munoz, Maybe Diego Martinez or Thomas Christiansen. Maybe they are some British options out there like Lee Johnson or Michael Carrick or maybe Liverpool under 23 Barry Lewtas. For the Sporting Director role I would be looking at Norwich's Stuart Webber or Luke Dowling or Steve Hitchen. Rumours that Stuart Webber will be leaving Norwich shortly. Cooper came in and transform the club. Forest were bottom of the league when Cooper took over. Cooper has won 22, drew 10 and lost 6 of 38 games there this season. They finished 4th
  16. we aren't talking about Derby but his time at Everton.
  17. I am not interested when Mowbray was official sacked tbh as we knew a couple of weeks before that he was going. Old news lets move forward and leave Mowbray in the past. On our search for head coach I would expect strong interested from British and foreign head coaches so they aren't reporting anything new to be honest. I would have expect informal chats to already taken place with a couple of candidates or their agents to find out their demands if they were offered the job. Here a question for you, Do you think the head coachrole is more suit to a foreign head coach than a British manager like Ainsworth or Warne?
  18. Lampard understood that he needs to go more defensive and switch Formation to keep them up. He realised he couldn't play his preferred formation so switch it. Good management there.
  19. How is the 6 man shortlist wrong? He got plenty right or close to as Glen Mullan said last week I asked about Duncan Ferguson being interested in the Rovers head coach job which he didn't respond so that could mean he has applied for the job here. Also nothing wrong with asking questions of them finding out what they know.
  20. Everton win against Brentford and they will be staying up with 2 games to go
