  1. I hope so. Good step forward and ambitious appointment. Given his comments at the players award night, I think there is a good chance he will same.
  2. Of course the owners will know what Mowbray has said and he has said he is leaving. I gave my opinion who I thought would be on our 6 man shortlist Not at all. 6 man shortlist was mention by Alan Nixon, so I have used that information. I see no reasons not to interview 6 candidates then pick the best candidate. Why not interview all the candidates? All depends on their demands and wishes in relates to your Johnson question. My dingle comments is small minded views? really, I could turn it around saying that focusing on ex dingle manager is small minded But Instead I respect each Rovers opinion Time for you to move and actually accept my opinion on the ex dingle manager.
  3. Nyambe's agent has re enter talks cos his move to another club has collapse now so thats the reason for new talks now.
  4. Rob Key will fast track the next test head coach appointment. Next England cricket coach: Interview process explained as Rob Key aims to fast-track appointment (inews.co.uk)
  5. Good for them. Still a dingle and still stay clear of him. Actually I said 3 good sources of information if you look back
  6. How about we get to the PL first!!! Appoint Farke and back him then we might be there within 2 or 3 seasons!
  7. Mowbray has announce his departure from the club and he will leave here after the Birmingham game. So when are you going to accept he is leaving the club this summer. No Rovers haven't announced it but we did the same with Lambert so I expect the same here. No-one is getting obsessive over tabloid hacks at all but simply using the information out there from varied sources. If you want to do what you always do and dismiss it fair enough but I will continue using the info out there in the public domain No, my comments are my opinions and I stand by them as I always do with my comments/posts on here. We have to agree on disagree on Dyche. I have nothing to add to my previous posts, opinions and comments on it None are coming here so its doesn't matter one jot of difference You are ignoring other good sources of info just for clarity
  8. No have 3 good sources of info including Glen Mullan posts on here about Farke and Nixon have said Farke is interested in the job here. Plus he has reported our interest in Ainsworth and another well respect journalist has reported Phillip Cocu. if you don't want to believe them fine but the info is out there
  9. No Duncan, I don't want an ex managers from our closer rivals coming to Rovers as our next manager. That is the truth and within all honest I'm surprised that you are for appointing him here and so many other Rovers fans are. I want Daniel Farke as our manager who is reported to be interested in the Rovers manager job. would be the perfect fit for our club give his success and the job he did at Norwich.
  10. Mowbray has told you he is leaving. end of. Rovers need to coming up with a shortlist and conduction interviews with them and pick the best candidate from that. Its not premature at all, its getting on with the job and appointing the next manager as soon as possible and within the next 2 or 3 weeks. We have coaching and medical appointments to make, signings to be made plus to formalise a pre season plans and get ready for the 29th July for the first game of the season In the public domain and been reported another dingle in the Rovers manager seat really? no thanks. We have Coyle in the Rovers managerial chair and we don't want another Dingle in the Rovers managerial seat or dugout. We want the dingles to be relegate this season do we?
  11. We know that Farke, Ainsworth and Cocu are interested in the job. The 3 I have picked I have outlined to JHrover the reasons why I put them on the shortlist. Nicko and O'Rourke are 2 good sources of info out for us. they might not get everything right no one does. like I said before to JHRover I have not based it on Rovers connections but the fact he has worked on small tight budget whilst achieving 2 promotions and possibly another one. Some people might want a Rovers ex player or fan in charge but reasons aren't them.
  12. Lets me take each manager in turn to reply to your points made Farke would be outstanding candidate here and should be the top choice but we have to see what his thoughts and terms would be. From his Norwich days, Farke rebuild the Norwich team by selling James Maddison and other players. In his first season, he spend 13 million pounds, signing 17 players in that season whilst selling players for just over 30 million pounds, then his second season where he achieved promotion he spent just below 5 million pounds, signing 10 players whilst selling players for around 33 million pounds. So that's 18 million pounds on transfer ins whilst bringing in 63 million pounds on transfer outs. So he has had sell key players like James Maddison, Josh Murphy, Jacob Murphy and Alex Pritchard. Then bringing in cheaper replacements from overseas like Pukki or Zimmerman for example. He mainly played 4-2-3-1 formation and like his teams to pass the ball quickly through midfield and the lines to the attacking players. Ainsworth has 2 promotions on his CV from league 1 and 2 plus maybe a third. He can worked on a tight budget and gets the best out of his players. He likes to get the ball forward quickly but like to target man and 2 wide man with number 10. Cocu did very well at PSV and at Derby got a 10 place in his first season. He prefer a slower passing and more patience style to Farke. Cocu did bring through at Derby players like Max Bird, Louis Sibley, Jason Knight and Lee Buchannan. So that's will appeal to Rovers but not sure his passing style would appeal to us tbh unless he has adapt this now after his Derby experience. Johnson did well at Bristol City without able to take them to the next level. Harshly sacked by Sunderland when they were 3rd in league. He does developing young players and will bring through academy players into the first team. Warburton can work on tight budget and has good links to bigger clubs for young, up and coming players. Will develop young players and will bring through academy players into the first team. Yes concerned by his QPR spell this season and was similar to Mowbray one. decent manager but similar to Mowbray wild card outsider here. His background is in youth development and he left Everton recently to seek his ambition to becoming first team manager. Most of the 6 have a background in bringing through academy players into first team and developing them, plus can work on tight/moderate budgets and have rebuild first team squad after selling key players.
  13. Those were years ago and the fact he hasn't managed for nearly 6 years ago given he has champions league. I would leave him on the unemployment ladder. First choice is Daniel Farke with Gareth Ainsworth second choice. Di Matteo has been out of work for nearly 6 years now. Time to leave him there I have suggested Ainsworth not for reasons of Blackburn connections at all, but he has 2 promotions and maybe a third on a small budget. Manning doesn't have any promotion on his CV. Mention by Alan Nixon to me yesterday. Interview with by Waggott and Pasha maybe with Balaji video link maybe. Its better than it being done by other non Rovers people, I think interviews people is a fairly common tools these days in my line of work these days still. Nothing wrong with interviews and talking to different candidates then appoint the best man for the job.
  14. I backed Farke in the Betting and I stick with it. got 20/1. very happy with that bet
  15. very unfair comment there Mercer. Lets hope its resolve quickly to we don't have to read your predictions anymore that very rarely come true tbh. Like Allardyce to Burnley to replace Dyche, didn't happen. Mowbray to WBA, didn't happen. Alex Neil come here, didn't happen. Your latest one, Mowbray won't be in charge for the Birmingham away game, lets see if this one comes true?
  16. He will be the shortlist but I think he just wouldn't the same type of appointment for me. I also think Lee Johnson, former Bristol City and Sunderland boss will be on the 6 man shortlist(just a feeling) I think the 6 man shortlist will be Daniel Farke, Gareth Ainsworth, Phillip Cocu, Lee Johnson, Mark Warburton and David Unsworth. I think these 6 will be interviewed for the Rovers manager/head coach job here to replace Mowbray with
  17. I don't think Venky's ever fully trusted Lambert after he wouldn't come here and be Rovers manager until Venkys agreed to his demand of a release clause in the contract. I also think Lambert never trusted the Venkys either. It make take a couple of years to build a team for promotion like Daniel Farke did at Norwich or like Carlos Corberan has done at Huddersfield. They are 4th now and last season they finish 20th. Depending on finances and the players he wants, it come take 2 or 3 transfer windows before we have side good enough to finish top 6 and got promotion.
  18. Di Matteo has been out of football far too long now and similar to Roy Keane being suggested on here. Football has moved on and we need a manager who knows this league and has promotion on his CV surely if our ambition is promotion in the next 2 to 3 seasons? Can I asked why you think appoint Ainsworth is a risk too much to take but you would support us appoint Liam Manning as Mowbray's replacement who has no Promotion on his CV? Mowbray's hasn't spoken to the owners for months and Waggott is just a yes man, so how would Mowbray know much? Is Suhail Pasha and Waggott going to tell Mowbray anything. I respect you for you posting that you would give Mowbray a new contract. I have supported Mowbray for most of his time but I feel a massive change is needed here and we need a new manager with new coaching staff if we ever want PL football back here cos Mowbray has had 4 years here and never achieved it.
  19. I know a few people who used to be STH but now have children and got on to property ladder so they have cut back on certain things and their children have activities so can't come to games as often as they would like. Plus their working pattern has changed meaning they can't make games. Rovers need to make more affordable for people with cheaper season ticket prices. match day prices plus food and drink cheaper and better quality if you want to get people back plus we need to be getting more into schools, youth clubs and local football teams to give away free tickets, merchandise and etc.
  20. Correct Its was based I guess on the 2 nicko stories and rumours around at that time
  21. Not at all, Lambert was odds on like 4/6 as soon as the market went up if my memory serves me right which gives no value on your bet. JFH was 4 or 5/1 if my memory serves me right. Not odds ons straight away like Lambert was He said attacking football not attractive. Why is not worth a risk as every appointment is a risk? But you are very happy to take a risk on Liam Manning from MK Dons who has no promotions on his CV.
  22. 2 pros and 2 cons as Blackburn Rovers consider Daniel Farke as Tony Mowbray successor 2 pros and 2 cons as Blackburn Rovers consider 45-year-old as Tony Mowbray successor (msn.com)
  23. Somewhat true but I remember when Bowyer was sacked and Lambert was odds on favourite straight away based on a couple of news stories in the media. The LT could be asking potential managers whether they are interested in the Rovers job and whether they have applied for the job. They have asked for interview with Waggott which I believe will be sometime this week if its happens I remember when Ince was sacked and the national media were running stories that Souness was going to be appoint the day after and Souness gave an exclusive interview to the LT to say he wasn't becoming Rovers manager. 2 promotions on a shoestring of budget.
  24. Thanks for the reply RDM hasn't been manager for nearly 6 years and I think that's too far out of management for me. Not keen on Cocu or Stam. Think Ainsworth or Farke would be the right and ideal appointment for me
  25. Great work by the club and the people involved in this. Great move by the club.
