  1. Its a more complex and complicate question than just one word answer Mowbray needs to move on now. He has done very well here but not able to take us to the promotion that we all want. So time we move on and say thanks for all your hard work and effort. Grayson has had 3 poor spells since his Sunderland days there. Wouldn't be my choice but listening to him during the PNE game its came across that he would be interesting in replacing Mowbray.
  2. Mowbray needs to go. His time here is done. Wouldn't shock me if he wanted to go into becoming a manager this summer somewhere How does Mowbray know anything about next season budget if he hasn't spoken to the owners and board about it? Yee Is this a hint?
  3. he has been more enough backed to achieve at least playoff place over the last 4 years. Fed up with excuses that I've heard from Mowbray and others including. Just look at Huddersfield and Luton that have spend nothing compare to us and are in the playoffs right now. We need to move on from him and bring in manager who can achieve top 6/promotion within 2 seasons I have been suggesting that formation and pressing high for weeks. You didn't and wanted to stick with this false 9 and 5 at the back. Who knows what the result would have been if Brown and Johnson played but the rest of the team was what I picked and played the way I have been saying. For me, we need a new manager who will continue to play the same way and formation. The blueprint is there just need a manager to embrace and improve on it.
  4. Your owners seem to want to down that route and have got rid of the Chief Scout who Dyche had there. That's why I think they look for director of football and Head Coach from European or has a background in that and most likely in the summer.
  5. Dyche is a no for the previous reasons I have stated on here. Farke would be the first and obvious choice to replace Mowbray. He is the sort of manager we need. Grayson and Warburton are both of contract and have Championship experience meaning they would be quick appointment and not needed to wait for a manager in the playoffs chase.
  6. I think your ownership want to go down the foreign route and bring in Director of football and head coach structure plus look towards the Europe market for signings who are cheaper for you
  7. The club should be speaking to 3 potential replacements in the next few days and they are Daniel Farke, Carlos Carvalhal and Kjetil Knutsen. Given that the season starts in the last week of July, we need to proactive and make a appointment at the latest end of May and ideally would be mid May would be excellent and allow him to appoint his coaching staff and bring in a head of recruitment aswell. Just for the record this is what I would do. Hoping for Daniel Farke expecting Simon Grayson or Mark Warburton
  8. He has had more than enough backing over the past 4 seasons and He has had more than enough time to get our club promotion and its appears it will be another failure this season. Plus the losing streak every season has to end imo. You can keep sticking up for him in your want but he had more than enough backing and time here. You can keep going on about my selection of Johnson but I was right about how we should be playing and formation wise but you wanted to keep sticking this false 9 3 back formation that hasn't worked for weeks and cost us our playoff place. You can just admit that you were wrong and admit that my tactics was the same as the PNE game and what I have been asking for over 3 weeks on here and other social media sites.
  9. We played Sheffield United the game after the 7 nil defeat to Fulham where Waggott talked about it
  10. You failed to understand what it like into a bubble for months end on end plus he lost his father in this period of time. But also He wouldn't have taken the job otherwise would he. Do you not think Rob Key would have spoken to people within the game like his Durham head coach and chairman there. Stokes is the right and correct choice. Stokes did pull out out the IPL. I have suggested a few players who can fill these top positions Like Josh Bohannon, Tom Abell, Tom Haines, Rob Yates, Ben Duckett, Joe Clarke.
  11. We still have Kaminski, Wharton, Travis, Buckley and hopefully Lenihan so you still have key players as part of the squad The owner wanted to be back Mowbray after the promotion season.
  12. Yes I would expect the owners to have told Mowbray that he will go after this season or we are going to give him a new contract. He has been massive backed over his tenure at the club and he can have no complaints over the budget for each season he got. Yes this season he will still allow to sign players and in fact we have made Buckley and Brereton key players for the club. The Armstrong money's will be used to cover this season losses. Yes it would have been good to spend more but he has been allowed to make number of permanent signings Football under the PL has seen a massive reset financially at Championship clubs this season We don't know that. Cos its doesn't bothered so much as you and I don't keep going on about i PNE performance and the way we played tactical and formation wise so such a positive and attacking position. Its a pity that Mowbray was so stubborn not to change formation/tactics sooner we would have secure a playoff already. I have been going going on for over 3 weeks now. I was right and you were wrong to want to back 3 which was clearly to see need I would expect a new appointment to be made by the end of May
  13. Rob Key and Ben Stokes would have discussions about his mental health difficulties before he was offer the job and Ben accepting it. Lets not forget that Covid lockdown and bubbles plus he lost his dad during last the couple of years. It would affect alot of people really. As Nasser Hussain said yesterday we need to judge Stokes as Stokes. People will say look at Botham but he was young and inexperience. I would look at Imran Khan captaincy of Pakistan and how successful they were. I would expect he will take a step back from white ball cricket over time.
  14. We see shortly won't we? But any potential manager after beating PNE would think that's the way to play with these players. Plus bringing through our academy players is already a key part of the strategy here. Venkys has backed including this season Mowbray every season and he couldn't deliver Promotion. I would suggest you read the Venkys statement cos they never they would attend a game but they try to get to one. Maybe they turn up on Saturday who knows. I'm not bothered if they do or don't.
  15. The plan that will be action going forward for the summer in terms recruitment good and ambitious manager/head coach that will have a decent transfer/wage budget to spend in the summer and will keep bringing through our young players into the first team and that will see us challenging for promotion next season plus playing the football we seen against PNE which was good to watch and what I have been calling for weeks prior to the game. Which bit of the statement was bollocks?
  16. Was hoping we see in the first team before the end of the season but I will get to see at Ewood Park on Sunday
  17. Rovers should be looking at Daniel Farke, Carlos Carvalhal and Kjetil Knutsen IF we want an ambitious appointment and build on this season and look for promotion next season or 2. If you looking for young manager but experience in the lower leagues someone like Paul Warne, Gareth Ainsworth and Liam Manning would be choices there but a risk appointment. Some people would want someone like Chris Hughton or Mick McCarthy appointment and respect you for that choice but its ain't for me. If you watch Monday night game on Sky it appears that Simon Grayson would be interest in the job and I wouldn't be surprise if we did appoint someone like that. He wouldn't be my choice tbh despite me wanting him years ago before Coyle was appointment here. Looking at Mowbray's comments he looks like a man who wants to be with his family and move back to the North East where he can be with them more. Don't blame him for that either.
  18. Very pleased that they will be over 20k on Ewood Park on Saturday. Hopefully Gallagher and Hedges will be fit so we can play the same way as PNE away and this should be the way we play in the future,
  19. So after watching the BBC Radio Lancashire interview and reading Lancs Live interview it appears that Mowbray will walk away from Rovers at the end of the reason. He has been success for the club overall but he isn't good enough to get us to premier league or sustain a promotion run over a full season. He will go with my thanks, appreciation and praised for the job he has done and the rebuilding the football club he had to do after the Coyle's failure here. Thanks Mr Mowbray What we need a statement from the club and the owners over the manager situation and the plan going forward from the summer onwards. Farke wasn't on huge wages at Norwich from what I have read in the public domain.
  20. delighted with the Stokes appointment and its the right and correct choice, Good decision by Rob Key and now he needs to find the Test head coach and it will be interesting who they will appoint. Also think he needs to find the right person for the national selector role tho. I am also encourage by the early form of young batsman out there like Sussex opening batsman Tom Haines, Lancashire number 3 batsman Josh Bohannon and Somerset middle order batsman Tom Abell.
  21. Stokes to be named as Test Cricket captain very shortly. Good appointment https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-10756687/Ben-Stokes-confirmed-Englands-new-Test-captain-WEEK.html
