  1. who says it was rumour. Several posters posted similar info on here. Posters who wouldn't posted gossip but would only post if they trusted their info was correct. Surely before sacking Mowbray you would want his replacement line up and ready to come in. That's would be quite normal for a football club to do imo and what I would do if I was owner of BRFC.
  2. Yes I think Rothwell has been massive disappointment since his January move to Bournemouth didn't happen. Rovers should have agreed to his move to Bournemouth and brought in 2 or 3 players with that money I agree with the above comment
  3. several posters have said on here that the club talks to 4 different managers last summer but none agree to take over. So Mowbray wasn't sack. I think if you look at his comments post match to Reading away game in March 2021, he sounded like he knew his time was over at the club after that game. Also Waggott and Mowbray held talks after the Fulham 7 nil home defeat away him walking away but the win and performance against Sheffield United stop this happening
  4. is that who you think Venkys will appoint as Mowbray's replacement? Hasn't Pulis retire from football?
  5. It was great chance for a header when I seen extended highlights on Sky football channel this morning
  6. Yep I agree. We shouldn't have started 3 at the back yesterday. I Didn't understand where we change to 2 number 10's with 2 wide strikers in the second half as that wasn't needed but We should have replace Dack for Nyambe and Buckley for Rothwell. I think Mowbray need a change and I think he has realised it himself.
  7. Coyle said he had a meeting with Balaji who then told the club to appoint him. Here the story COYLE admitted he met Balaji Rao after being interviewed for the job by two Venky’s representatives. He said: “I met with Suhail and one other Indian gentleman, advisors to the family, and on the back of that I met with Mr Bala, and on the back of that I was offered the job.” Cheston added: “We completed the interview process at the time and then I went on holiday and I was abroad when we became aware of Owen. The process had to continue without me.” 'They have no intention of selling the club' - report on Blackburn Rovers supporters’ consultation meeting | Lancashire Telegraph
  8. Not really hard to follow tbh. I posted a very lengthy post after the Barnsley away game last season on 17th February saying why a change of manager was needed and how we could go about it. I think Mowbray will leave the club after the last game of the season Fair enough and someone I have suggested in the past. He would be on my shortlist if we want a manager appointment and not go down the Director of Football/head coach model which I think Rovers should be employing here IMO.
  9. I'm not shocked at Leeds winning at Watford and the impact Jesse Marsch has had there since being appointing there. I think Norwich are capable of winning tomorrow
  10. We should go for younger manager with a modern day approach. time to move on from managers like Pulis, Warnock, McCarthy, Hughton, Bruce
  11. Well if that's opinion then gave us some potential names to this opinion? Rothwell and Nyambe are off for sure. So any new managerial appointment ain't stopping that from happening now. Plus given that we will lose half of their squad due to their loan status or Contract will expire then not much to look at tbh. Warnock ha today announced his retirement from the game so that's appears non starter.
  12. My opinions and thoughts on the current situation and that all 3 are out of contract. Rovers spent a few months interviewing and selecting a new head of recruitment before John Park's appointment. So this appointment should have been a long term contract and not a 1 year contract. Poor from the club again
  13. If Mowbray and co(Venus, Lowe, Benson and Park) are leaving when their contracts ends then I would right now be looking to appoint a director of football then appoint first team head coach and head of recruitment before the end of May/Start of June. I would be looking at former Celtic and Reading director of football Nicky Hammond or former WBA Director of football Luke Dowling. Then I would look to first team head coach who will be in charge of first team matters who is good tactical, good coach and has a background in developing young players. I wish we could have got Steve Cooper when he was available but I don't see him leaving them for us. So I would look at Damien Johnson, Ryan Mason from Spurs, Jason Wilcox from Man City or Rob Edwards at Forest Green Rovers to fill this position. At the same time I would be looking to appoint a new Head of Recruitment and Would look at bringing in Ian Pearce who is in charge of recruitment at WBA and has been linked with similar position at Bristol City recent months. I am a fan of the work Steve Cooper has done at Swansea and Forest during his short managerial career and just how he improves and developing players. I would like Rovers to follow a similar path now
  14. I don't think Babu gets involved in those decisions and from what I have read from posters who have posted about him he is Finance guy. Pasha will be involved in the next appointment just like he has been for several years.
  15. well I would say he at least shows some passion when decisions go the wrong way or a challenge that is over the top but nothing at all today. No Passion, fight and desire on the touchline from him. Given the crucial of today's game and the fact we could have been level points with Sheffield United that's a question for them and the club
  16. well my opinion is different and I stand by that. I have also commented who I thought had a poor performance today. You sound like that Rovers fan who sit near me using the term "shit" alot during the game
  17. You could get rid I guess but who are getting in for 5 games? We should have sack him last season and appoint a new manager in the summer. Now we need to appoint new manager or head coach plus a coaching team and I would appoint a director of football but I will discuss further in the proper correct thread Just look his touchline matter today. No passion, fight and just seem to be going through the motions. His comments are similar. I think he already knows his time is done here and won't be here next season whether its a decision from the owners or his or both. Who knows but I do think he knows he's a goner after the last game of the season
  18. Boro lost to Hull and QPR lost also Shows the great job Cooper is doing there and the work he done in turning them around. We need this sort of good appointment in the summer to replace Mowbray. also shows how poor Hughton was there
  19. The support is there if you price the games right and season ticket should have been on sale by now. Unacceptable they are yet
